    Just got mine delivered today and it has a temp gauge on the side. Must be a new update. Pretty cool. I don’t like how you need wrenches to undo the inline filter though so I did buy the additional filter you recommended and will mainly swap those out more often than the smaller in line one.

    Got the quick fill plug and used it on both my FX bottles .. no issues (KOW) haha
    I did read, one comment in a more recent thread. Dont know if true or not. That FX changed the design of the bottles valve making it more robust. That plus I believe people mostly had the issue with the fill adapter used a scuba tank where the quick rush of air reverted the seal o-ring (and it leaking out all the air)
    I used a shoebox compressor like the one in this video and had no issue.

    I think your better off buying a compressor like this with just a manufacturers name on it verses say from an airgun supplier where you end up paying several hundred dollars more for the exact same compressor. These type of ac/dc compressors are really starting to come down in price too which is great. More people in this sport the better. Amazon has one currently under 200$ so that’s pretty cool for the new Airgunners low on cash. This compressor is a steal for 300$💯👍

    Sweet looking compressor. Just my opinion but with only that little cotton filter I think you are pumping more moisture into your gun than you think. I also see it doesn’t look like that hunter compact is tuned for 20 ft/lbs anymore. 😊

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I linked a bigger/better filter with actual desiccant in the comments/description. I always use that for bigger tanks. Surprisingly, when I rebuilt the Panthera I did not find 1 inkling of a clue denoting water in the gun. Everything was super clean and not rusty, including the steel valve spring. And I had mostly been filling it with just the small filter. I don't disagree with you, really, and you should use the big filter, but the small one is actually not bad on a budget. It definitely collects water that would otherwise go into the gun

    @6:20 is a good view of the compressor pressure gauge and it shows a green line between 100 and 200 bar with the red line starting at 200 bar. Any idea why the red line is so low? (and - yes, if that's ordinary it could be a clue that I'm a newb in this subject)

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I disagree but also partially agree. I do have a few that I have been absolutely beating on for years and they are fine. Have I maintenanced them? Yes. Have I had to do repairs? Sure. I would say generally that shoebox compressors are a disposable product, and the cheat code for that is to buy the Amazon warranty and then you're totally covered.
      This new compressor is much more robust than any other shoebox I've seen, in any case.

    I have the OG (cheap ebay model) compressor that Talon Tunes and then Air Marksmen rebranded but its the same unit....and I always put the filter on the end you have it on (closest to the compressor) but I saw someone recently put the filter on the end closer to the gun.
    Do you think it matters?? After giving it some thought I think maybe it is best nearest the gun. I mean why not filter the air right before it goes into the gun?!?! Remove any moisture or filth from the hose.
    You think it matters at all????

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dude I have grappled with that exact same question. I honestly don't think it matters but I I have taken to putting it on the compressor side rather than gun side. I feel like it will grab more there and then go through a clean line. Did you notice what I did here? I put the filter on the compressor but then the line going to the gun has an inline small filter which I put on the gun side. Perhaps a best of both worlds scenario? I really don't think it matters, but having one there is obviously superior to not having one!

      Oh man all these little shoebox compressors that I have done reviews on require no coolant (air cooled) and extremely little maintenance. They have graphite piston rings that are self lubricating. Just need to break em open for cleaning every once in a while. Never tried that GX compressor, once time they sent me an email wanting to collaborate and I responded but never heard back. Fingers crossed maybe I'll be able to get my hands on the CS4 at some point and provide some insights!

You can even click in through any of my links any time you're doing Amazon shopping, add whatever you want to your cart, and it still knows to give me some sort of credit for it. A lot of guys have been doing that and it is really helping out since I do not monetize via TH-cam at all.
      As far as a tank without a 1 way valve - I wouldn't do it if it is larger than like 2L. My 6.8L has a 1 way valve that closes ever time the piston in that compressor cycles, which makes it an acceptable thing to do so long as you don't exceed the 30 min runtime.
      If you want a jersey, email me at airshootist@Gmail.com and I'll start another list. This time they will not come with a custom name on the back because that costs me $200 art charge ever time I add a name to the template, but it will have the logos and everything else like you've seen and they are superbly crafted jerseys. I'm gonna get another order going soon, possibly with a new background design that has previously been unreleased (except the single one I have!).... ;)

      As long as you have that all important 1 way valve and you let her take a break after 30 minutes you should be good to go! Where you would be in bad shape is if you had like a DIN valve where there is no one-way and your compressor is just fighting the tank pressure. I would NOT do that! Haha

    What …. Happened To (Never) Start a Compressor (Onder) Pressure ???
    You …. Said Several Times To Tighten The Bleed Valve …. Then Started The Compressor ?
