If I have to touch the speaker to activate Alexa, its bo better than any regular BT speaker. Why is it so hard for someone to make a portable speaker with Alexa that functions like a regular Echo..

When you go to shower can you leave your phone in another room? Will Alexa work? In other words: does this speaker has mic, and also when you press alexa button and say to play music will it play on the speaker?
The phone does have Alexa and you can use it from the speaker. You don't have to have thw phone in the shower.
Will Alexa turn on the speaker if it's off?
It says it works with Alexa but it doesn't respond to the verbal commands that Alexa uses.
What type of charger does it use
It uses a micro USB charging cable.
Can you use this without having to bring your phone into the shower? Can you pair it with an alexa device and use the alexa features?
I don't use this speaker any longer but I can tell you that you will need to pair it with your phone to use any of those features. It doesn't operate without being paired to your phone.

This Bluetooth speaker doesn't seems to work with the Oontz app. Whatever the temptation to experiment may itch you, please heed my advice and don't try to upgrade the firmware in your speaker as it happened to my case I bricked it due to a little confusion on my part. There is no available firmware old or new for this model of speaker. Please avoid my error.

I'm trying to use the app for the EQ but I do not want Alexa at all. How do I do that? It won't let me see anything unless I sign in to an Amazon Alexa account. What kind of BS is that? No where on the description does it say you have to have Alexa account to use the EQ.
Yeah, the description is confusing. I learned this after purchasing the item and reviewing it. It doesn't have the EQ feature or at least I wasn't able to find it.
