I took tae kwando for many years, I was in my 40's, then. As a 67 year old woman now, the two most important things I learned was ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings, and I don't care WHAT kind of shape you are in, a woman 99% of the time cannot overpower a man, men are just stronger. Be smart abd put down the stupid phones!
They really should teach this in schools. Though they've forms of it about not talking to strangers for young grade schoolers. But a more advanced form should be done in junior and senior high schools as well. My children noticed my observance of surroundings and people around 3rd grade, which is when I started educating them. Vigilance should be a way of life...
Hi Sootch. I am so happy to live in Switzerland…. No concealed carry needed and practically no risk of aggression on the street. Thanks for the great recommendations. Keep up the good work 👍
Sootch... you are the man... love all the vids!!! Robbie we need to have shots!!! You guys are the best... god blss from behind enemy lines here in california... Long live the Republic!!!
Just because you are older do not think criminals will not target you. My rule even with my wife. You will not ever touch your cell phone to text while in the car, cell calls only if REQUIRED.
I think it was John Lovell who said “you are easy to kill.” In the context of being a “normal guy” people are generally easy targets. Even those who are generally aware of their surroundings. There’s nothing stopping someone who wants to do you harm. Sure, you can make it “not easy” for them but if you really think about it, someone who is set on hurting someone can simply pick the person, day and time and generally the target would be vulnerable and attacker has odds on their side. It’s an unfortunate truth. 😕
thank you sootchoo for the video!!! I HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAD A GOOD AND HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!! keep up the great work you do for us to make these video's for us to watch!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND LONG LIVE THE REBLIC!!!!
My head is always on a swivel. Having been deployed twice and a cop for a year on the civilian side, I'm always eyeballing for potential shady or nefarious people. I've gotten decent at picking them out, no matter what town or state I'm in.
LOL! I can spot some of them from 100 yards away. I don't need to talk to someone to figure things out if i'm wrong I don't care, like your parents told you you're judged by the company you keep. The best way to keep people away from your home is to not live near the areas that the attackers live, your best off living 20 to 40 miles from any city. You need to be just as aggressive as the attackers and always be on guard and having aggressive dogs is a good deterrent for people near the house.
A middle age person, riding a bicycle, usually a BMX and wearing a backpack is 9 times out of 10 nefarious. The pack is for carrying burgled items and tools of the trade. Someone riding a bike, or slowly driving, on a side street, are either looking for opportunities to steal/rob or carrying contraband.
@@djay6651 If they are wearing baggy pants with one had in the front pocket they are carrying a handgun. They hold a finger in front of the muzzle holding the gun up. This is so they can push the gun up and draw it with the other hand. This is why they refuse to take both hands out of their pockets for police because the gun will fall down inside their pants.
Had to smile about the “moms” kit... when our daughter got to about the age of 8 mom turned medical issues over to her! Our daughter had no issues with blood, scrapes, cuts, etc., unlike mom. So maybe a “kids” kit!
I live in Amarillo TX 3months ago called the police to come check on a guy laying in the street and no one came 20min later guy jumps up and runs away so I'm left waiting for police 45mi and I leave and go home .people you are on your own.
Carry a throw down wallet An extra wallet with just some one dollar bills inside for bulk and no cards or personal information in it. You can put some fake cards inside also to fill it out. Like those for discounts on wine that you get in the mail sometimes. Nothing with your name on it
I agree with looking at where exits are and such, but its hard to profile people around you without stereotyping them. It may not be the dirty rough looking guy... It may be the clean cut guy in a suit next to you that you profiled wrong. Its hard to look at a person and label them as safe or a threat... Because some times the people who look completely normal are the threat. And if youre busy watching everyone else, well then you arent aware.
I'm sorry I missed the Live -- again. I see people sitting in their cars in the market parking lots all the time, absorbed in their phones. They are oblivious to everything else.
I believe empty chamber carry in Israel applies to armed citizens, not the IDF. The reasoning behind it for civilians is because they are considered "national defenders", rather than personal defenders. There's not alot of street level crime, but rather a risk of terrorism incidents. In a terrorist situation most people are going to seek safety first and worry about whether or not the problem comes to them. It is similar to defending against an active shooter. Unless you are the first person engaged in the incident you are going to have time to rack the slide and do your business, whereas in most street crime you are the first person being actively engaged and aren't going to have time to make your weapon ready.
It is getting worse by the day especially in medium to large sized cities. The poverty lines are expanding. Many of the homeless are druggies or mentally ill people with unpredictable behavior.
It’s rather funny. Most of your more gun friendly states aren’t in the south. I’m bot impressed with any southern states gun rights compared to ours here in Missouri.
Don’t call them “mom kits” it’s insulting and narrow minded. For those of us that are not absentee fathers or just make it a priority to be involved in our children’s lives assuming that moms do a majority of the extracurricular activities is really insulting.

In parking garages I walk down the middle of the lanes so that it would be harder for someone to jump out from between the cars and grab me.
"get out now, I'm not stopping" love it! Reminds me of when the T1000 hops into a helicopter and tells the pilot to "get out now" in T2.

Such good information from these videos. Thanks, all three of you.
One person's paranoia is another person's vigilance...
Remember the Dr. Mom commercials? I love the idea of Mom Kits. It's the perfect idea since Moms are the boo-boo fixers.
