- Grunge has been there for me through tough times and shaped my mind and style to what it is today. Why has this been a staple style in fashion for so long?
In this video I go over Where Grunge Rock came from, why distressed flannels play a big role in styling, key bands (and personal favorites of mine) such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and a few others. Watch the video to find out some things I think look great with a more rebellious non conforming look in your outfits!

Flannel and layers is US/Canada poor man dress code. They were cheap, and layered so you can take them off when you do physical labour and shed layers when you get hot mid day. Grunge guys wore them as a way to show they have working class origins. It's big "FU!" To brands and consumerism.
