Did you just avoid modeling one or did you just use a different method ?. Asking because i just got into blender and been watching a lot of videos, including some of yours. You and Thomas both are great at what you do, so i was wondering how you got by when it comes to types of fasteners ?.
There is one nuance, the thread is turned inside the body of the nut and ends without reaching its edge, so in reality it is not working. In everything else, it generally looks like the real thing.
Nice Model and really perfect surface. Only it does not look like a real nut since the thread is ending just somewhere. So you would never be able to screw some bolt in there. I did enjoy your modelling skills. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, great video! however I have few questions 1- In 0:58 why did you press Shift + K instead of K 2- In 5:06 why did you connect the vertices 3- In 5:46 why did you add loops 4- When I add subdivision surface modifier the end of the edge looks stretched 5- In 6:42 why did you bridge edge loops here thanks for reading and I hope you reply
Hello :) Thank you ! 1 - You're right the shortcut is K, when I put my mouse on the knife tool icon, it says shift K but I don't know why... 2 - I connected the vertices to get rid of the ngon. 3 - I added an edge loop to sharpen the corners :) 4 - Can you join my discord server and send me a screenshot ? It would be easier to help you ! 5 - To get rid of the hole :)
@@ThomasColin3D WOW! I honestly didnt expect you will reply this fast, I really enjoy your videos and the clean polygon you made, you also reply with good information unlike most of the youtube creators, I really appreciate it and would be glad to join the discord server as well (:
Damn. This is good! Even though I found a built in nuts & bolts add-on, I still enjoyed learning how to make this from you. It’s clean and the workflow is precise.
As a beginner i am testy for your skills you will be using to finish the bike course you"ve standard don"t leave us in the blue sir. thank you for what you are doing for begginers like me
Hey Thomas, I have one doubt. When I try to bevel the sharp edges , the bevel contains some triangles on the pointy edge. How to get perfect quads while using bevel ?
I did not know how to do this after ten years. Great video vibe.
Thank you so much !! I'm glad it was useful :)
Thomas sir thanks for the great upload...here form aryan blender channel...he is our teacher

Thanks! Yes you're right, the model is not very accurate. The goal of the "topology study" is to find a way to solve complex topology problems :)
No wonder @ArijanRace talks about you all the time. sweet video.
Thank you ! :D

Thanks for your comment :) I will finish the bike séries, I'm just too busy with my professionnal work to make videos at the moment :)
Great modeling

Thank you so much my friend :)
3:32 I can't able to move up the loops as u did I even checked on connected only under proportional editing
Did you press alt + M before to detatch the edges ?
@@ThomasColin3D nope but I turned of mirror inside proportional editing
4:50 instead of that use alt + E 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the tip :)
when im beveling my edges like in 2:07 my edges becomes less sharp unlike yours. How do you keep the edges sharp when beveling?
Press P while adding your bevel and drag your mouse to the right :)
@@ThomasColin3D Thank you very much :)
3:20 why is it that when i alt+m and selecting afterwards using alt + shift the last edge at the bottom is excluded
When I select it again the bottom one is selected with a dottedlines
Kept repeating and trying but has the same results😢 help pls
