I think the secret is out, and it is getting too crowded for me. I've noticed several changes. Afternoon rush hour now starts at 3:30 pm. There seem to be a lot of new drivers (people who don't know where they're going or drive with excessive bravado or excessive caution). Houses on Zillow that are in nice shape and fairly priced sell in 3 days. Rents going up. Costco is so crowded just being in the parking lot is now anxiety inducing for me. It feels very different from the place I grew up in the 1980's. Sometimes unrecognizable. It's changed alot since the pandemic and I think the Super Bowl victories have put us in the national spotlight. Mahomes is pretty much the new face of the NFL so that has to have an impact.

I hear what you’re saying, but the population in the Kansas City Metro only grew by .5% last year and that was the highest increase we’ve seen in several years. Home prices have more to do with a lack of supply. More people are driven into the rental market with less homes for sale. Of course it feels different than the 80’s. The city is growing which I believe is a good thing. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Kinda disappointed that ya didn't mention the River Runner or the Southwest Chief.
7 hour train trip direct to Chicago or 5 hour direct trip to St. Louis, with multiple trains to go anywhere you want, from those points

As a Kansas Citian, I can attest to this being a rather convenient place to live. With the cold snap we had in early January, we're a 90-minute flight from both New Orleans and Phoenix. As for housing, there are A TON of planned developments in the works, including single-family homes in places like Shawnee and Lenexa (especially Lenexa).

Kansas City doesn't even have cold winter weather at all compared to the Midwest along and north of I-80. The metro area acts just like the BACKWARD South and closes everything down for small amounts of snow. That never happens further to the north in 95% of the Midwest.

@@KS5040years ago it had pretty harsh winters, not anymore, at most there is just a few weeks of real winter

@@tomdalton4293 Yes, not having winter is a very bad thing because it just results in more pests, ticks, and invasive species.

With Kansas City metro growing, I would love to see suburbs besides Overland Park, Olathe and Lees Summit grow.

There are many that are grown by at a rapid rate. Lenexa, Shawnee, Spring Hill, Parkville.

Please don't. Social media weirdos always have to ruin the nice places for the rest of us here... 😫 And if you can't handle honesty, family values and a more conservative mindset don't come here. You wouldn't like it anyway and we don't want your bad voting practices to screw up this state too. Nobody wanted Californians for the exact same reason, in any state lol.

@@movingtokcThough I would dissuade you from advertising KC if I could. I lived in Dallas, and it is just too big. I love Kansas City specifically because it’s a small town in big city clothes. Please reconsider 🤞🏼
