    This is awesome Dave. I have a similar LED I placed on my Mavic Mini and it was great. I just need to find where I put mine. It also got a ton of views which was unexpected. Hopefully yours does as well.

    I'm not sure why, but on the FAA part 107 test it says 3 statute miles(5,280ft) to be legal, but ATC uses nautical miles(6,076feet) looks pretty bright, the camera may not be seeing it properly, but I'm not sure you could see it for 3 miles.

      Yes as bright as this light is -- I have wondered it as well since getting mine. Someone who is extremely serious about making sure they are in compliance should test the lights they get.

    I use the ARC V which is over twice the price of the Vifly but much nicer with 5 LEDs and a larger battery, instead of 3 LEDs and a much smaller battery. I picked up a Vifly for my Mini 3 Pro and as a backup for my other drones for $15 US. I’m not too crazy about the Velcro attachment which is pretty cheap quality, but it does the job.

      I’m looking for something for my mini 2 but I also have a spark and an XK380 detect which is a really big drone. How does that more expensive one mount up? I just saw a video of it and it’s very bright for sure and brighter than these but drone 51 showed that the leds on the ARC start to fade out as the battery gets low but I don’t plan to fly for 4 hours. Anyway thanks for any feedback.

    Thanks for a very competent video. I just ordered one to interchange with my different RC models. I am currently looking to get an altimeter but am not sure which is a good one for my RC motor glider. Do you have any recommendations. PS: in am in the USA market. Thanks for your help.

    • @PERTHWESTOZRC
      @PERTHWESTOZRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching much appreciated. You can get altimeters built into most wireless bicycle gps speedometer readers as a cheap option, they are lightweight there are many different options online, a more expensive one that I use on most of my RC cars to measure max speed is the SKYRC GSM020 Bluetooth GPS reader and that also has an altimeter built in. I have a full review on that product on my channel as well. Hope that helps 👍

    In daylight, is it visible from 500 feet. I want to put it on the back to be able to see which way my drone is pointing.

      It is. I have one on my mini 3 pro battery and adding a red & green strobe to the front legs with aerial-pixel leg mounts. It's blinding on white strobe...

      Fit it to the battery door in the rear like I have in this video

    How do you get someone to send you a product to review?

    • @PERTHWESTOZRC
      @PERTHWESTOZRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have an established channel on youtube with many video reviews already, then some vendors will just email you randomly asking if you would be interested in featuring and testing their products on your TH-cam, that's how it works basically

    If you attach a strobe light under the Drone doesn't it affect the video footage that you've recorded?

    • @PERTHWESTOZRC
      @PERTHWESTOZRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't attach it under the drone, I fixed it to the rear, but yeah I guess if you had it under it probably would affect the footage

    • @davidkay3789
      @davidkay3789 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PERTHWESTOZRC ✍️ yes I know you attached it at the rear but for me personally I'm more interested in knowing where it is in the dark with either a top or bottom mounted light that doesn't affect video footage, any suggestions?
