    You're living in 2050 over here with that brilliant "seed skirt" hack. Idk why I never thought to try liners like that. Plus it looks way cleaner and prettier than the fabric ones do.

    Gorgeous cage and has re-enforced my opinion that bigger is better! I also like the feeders you use.
    I’m still on the fence about diving into the hobby but want the best possible home for any finch I decide to adopt.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

      Happy to help! Its a big investment and it is nice to get some extra info out of a cage before buying. I also want to help encourage people to buy bigger cages, as it benefits the birds so much to have room to fly.

    I'm having both a space issue and a cleaning issue. I have the double stacked cages which are too bog for my condo and I have to clean the floor 3 times a day from seed. These are similar so I'm switching to a vision cage for sets of 2 birds instead of having 6 together. It may calm them down as they are so hyper together.

    I have the same type of cage but instead of using commercial perches which are very unhealthy for birds legs I use naturals twigs if different thickness . I also put bottom crate only when I clean a tray .

      @finchfanatic3412  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi there, thanks for your comments. I'm not sure if you keep finches, but the number one priority for housing them is flight space. They differ from parakeets or cockatiels in that way. I do provide a variety of perches, natural and store bought. They get paper to shred and love building nests when I allow them. You sound like a great responsible bird owner. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

    Have you found a clear plastic to weave in and out for the seed droppings? I put chop for mine on the floor and their bath is on the floor. I would like to be able to see them when they’re Dow there. There has to be something we can see through. I’m making sprouts now and looking to start microgreens. Love my big cage. Soon the ones which had Their wings clipped will stop falling to the floor. Such a travesty! Wishing you well. Are you where I could text you easier?

      Hi Sharon, I have not found clear, but I don't think I'd like it anyway because it would always look dirty. The frosted lets the light in but doesn't show those bath water splashes! I'm glad your birds get a spring salad. I'll be posting an update soon, my babies all recovered flight within a couple of weeks and I have a neighbor who adopted the 3 boys. The hen is still with me 😁

      I would say that this cage has held up quite well, for its price. That said, the quality isn't quite as nice as my Prevue Hendryx cages. I've had to retighten the allen bolts that hold it together but haven't had any major issues. It's good for a budget, but Prevue cages are my preference for quality. They are a mid - range between Amazon sellers generic brands and something like A&E.
