How can a game have a final level with music THIS GOOD have a final boss SO BAD?
It wasn't SO bad. It was just underwelming compared to the first. When I was younger I would intentionally drag out the final phase to make the fight seem more epic. Good idea, just too easy.

It is impressive how the Mario Galaxy saga surpassed all its previous games and for the better it will never age badly (I think it also surpasses the current ones).
I can say for sure that in this case his last challenge songs against Bowser are the best (the addition of the orchestra is the key factor). In Super Mario Galaxy 1 "Galaxy reactor" is an exciting song and the first time I played it I was completely shocked and then this one called "Bowser galaxy generator" from Super Mario Galaxy 2 comes out which according to me hands down beats it. the first.
It is a perfect stage to say that it is your last confrontation with Bowser, the song conveys incomparable power and emotions and let's give the special addition that in this final stage Yoshi participates helping Mario / Luigi (something that the previous games had not done) which gives it a more epic tint , I highly doubt that there is a song that equals it, much less surpasses it.

“Never age badly” is a poor choice of words, seeing as it already has. That camera is genuine garbage. Still A tier games, but a bad camera in a platforming game is fatal.

I can tell you that the camera is ok, it's not such a big problem.
@@Ehecatl-A2083 I should not have to use a whole hand to turn the camera. I should not have to stop moving to look around. The camera is a big problem. There’s also the fact that for some reason it just doesn’t let you turn the camera when you want to sometimes, which is unpredictable and extremely annoying. It would be understandable if it was an N64 or even a GameCube game, but in 2007 having a camera that bad is shameful.

All it would have taken is to press the D pad in the direction you want it to turn, and then you can turn it easily. Not only did they make it more difficult than this, but they also prevented you from turning it at all in some places.

@@zecabone3850 galaxy 1's level before the boss is far superior to galaxy 2's in almost every way. the level design of the generic worlds added with gravity and mismatched themes is outrightly the best in both games. galaxy 2's feels far too gimmicky with way too many powerups. it sohuld be unified.

When I was younger I beat the original mario galaxy probably 4-5 times, but I could never beat mario galaxy 2 because of this level, eventually I lost the disk for it, and because there has been no easy legal way to play the game for a while, I have not beaten mario galaxy 2 to this day
