@122Rosco Calm dowm there buddy, if she was so rude why does she have so many friends in chess? It's her Russian humor is all it is man. I didn't like that she didn't attend the closing ceremony but let's not pile on her standard humor.
You guys are great together because Dina is like the dark, trash talking bad guy and Anna is the bubbly, sweet nice guy, which makes it fun to watch the interaction between the different styles. That’s not a knock on either of you because I can tell you are a lovely, fun person Dina and Anna is a tough serious chess player. You both have created great “content characters” of yourselves and I watch both of you on TH-cam.
Love watching 2 great chess players reviewing their game, it’s so insightful and interesting. Thank you Dina for the content! You both are amazing chess players!!!
At 19:52, when Dina explains the theory of staying away from the table she should had said it was the Russian School of Chess rule 86. (86 being slang for disposing of someone)
I am not a real chess enthusiast and dabble with my students at school, but the analysis and game review are so interesting and captivating, which has inspired me to explore a little more about basic openings and strategies. Thanks from New Zealand.
I really enjoyed this video. It was interesting to find out how much of the game can be psychological even among experienced, top players. Great content!
This was some nice content Dina. I think I saw a side of you in here that I didn't think existed. Very nice. Anna made you smile? 😅That's sooo sweet 😊I saw the game between you and it was a good one. Thank you for this content.
I love how Dina doesn't laugh when Anna is laughing over the idea of walking away from the board and letting the opponent think too much (and run into time trouble). What's funny about that is Dina is deadly seriously and she's wondering, "Why does Anna find that so funny?"
When someone is passionate about something, it can show on your face when things go wrong. An outside observer can interpret that with the person being mean or that they are angry at the other player, but it is typically internal stuff. Just need to walk away for a while and sort it out. Most good chess players are probably introverts to begin with (not meant as a bad thing btw, it's just that introverts are frequently misunderstood).
Be nice you guys. Well, Anna is always nice. But... at the end of the day/game, support each other. The controversy thing is a fun hook but it can be a bit tiresome.
I like the format! Really like hearing both your thoughts on the mental part of the game, how you chose your moves to throw off your opponent, how you manage your time, etc. Also nice to see analytical, non-trash-talk Dina every now and then! Only a couple little things to improve: there were a couple times you temporarily forgot what move was played. Would be good to keep the move list handy so you can easily refer to it and get back on track quickly. And the audio - bit of an echo in the room you were in and the mic got bumped a couple times.
The game was excellent as entertainment; so much emotion. I hope you can do a rematch at Botez Chess Camp 2025 although it would be better if it were the last game of the tournament, not the first. Definitely a 'Clash of the Titans' event.
did Hikaru loan Dina his pineapple shirt? and yes Anna is good for chess. Anna is the princess of chess :) her smiles brighten up the days of many a viewer...
Amazing content, we need more of this. I would love seeing this for all your games, and then I remember what you said on live chat. You and Jules would never talk about that game ever again. 😢 But, I'm also wondering if you have heard of this strange consept called sleep? It's said it is good for you, you should try it some time.
I always imagine Dina having an old Russian mentor secretly meeting her after her games, scolding her for every wrong move she did and for reminding her that overconfidence is a slow and insideous killer, scolding her for unnecessary flamboyance and unnecessary fun. I also imagine that coach looking like Konstantin from "killing Eve". 😂 In reality though, I'm pretty sure she has a coach like this in her head though. 😁
This game they’re replaying was a fun game, I’ve seen it from different channels. Love both these players. Dina puts on the fruity shirt/blouse [I think] as a form of respect to her opponent. She has changed into it part way through games in casual competition before, for effect. They are the Yin and Yang characters of chess, and play it well.
Dina! I’m a new subscriber to you! Popped around many of your videos and shorts….your funny! Very shape mind too….I’m happy to be following your content now. BEAT EVERYONE MERCILESSLY!!!! :)
absolutely love these reviews. Anna is SO nice. If she put in the work, she'd be very good. I LOVE the way you both project the joy of the game, win lose or draw.
Anna's only real problem right now is that she will occasionally play a move that she "really likes" emotionally, even though it's unsound. She did not do that in this game, and her GM taught instincts stood her in good stead, such as with looking first at grabbing the opposition at 23:57. Also, Dina spent the night prepping against an opening that Anna knows is a meme opening and doesn't play seriously, while Anna spent the night sleeping while her GM mom prepped for her. Having a strong team helps too.
Having both of your parents being GMs is kinda OP... of course is not her fault but it kinda is an avantage. They of course can't play for you, but sharing their experience 24/7 can make it a little bit lighter, yeah?
Of course Anna is good at chess. I think that if she actually focused on playing she could be IM before 25 :) But I can't see the will in her to actually do it. The potential is there though. She just needs to do the work 😛

A really in depth and great analysis vid but then the unnecessary toxic comment ruins the moment
@@122Rosco If you read it in Dina's accent with that smirk she has than its not so toxic. 🤣

These two are a great duo. Because Anna is the nicest person in chess and Dina is ... Dina.
Like a golden retriever and grumpy cat. 😅
Agreed! They are both like ying and yang and they are both my favourites.
to be more specific, dina is mean but it doesn't come across as a negative xD

They're both women.
Anna is a big time trash talker but she does it next level, not so obvious
So is Hikaru just walking around without shirt?
😂
😂
Nice comment 😂
I had the exact same thought!
Shirtless Hikaru stream when? 😂
Amazing format and great analysis.
I love this!!! Rarely get to see both players analyzing their game TOGETHER
It was nice to see two totally different personalities come together and enjoy a chess match. Nice content.
Love watching 2 great chess players reviewing their game, it’s so insightful and interesting. Thank you Dina for the content! You both are amazing chess players!!!
It's really impressive to watch you both play, it scares the hell out of me to listen to the analysis! Thanks for the treat!!!!
This was great analysis, nice work Dina!! :)
I loved this match, thank you Dina & Anna ❤. I love you both.
Two delightful, intelligent, fast talking people sharing their passion for chess. This was an enjoyable conversation to listen to.
At 19:52, when Dina explains the theory of staying away from the table she should had said it was the Russian School of Chess rule 86. (86 being slang for disposing of someone)
this is deep. thanks for the insights on a hard fought game guys.
Anna's sincerity and laughter - is what I like most. Even if she is not as strong player as Dina but she is so cute.
This was such an amazing chess analysis between two of my favourite chess creators.
Is it just me or does Dina have a way of moving the pieces that is just soooo smooth?
Realy love this type of recap.
I loved watching the emotion and loved the honest discussion!
Despite I don’t play chess, I really love to watch your videos. Really cool!
You are both incredible players, you two have me loving this game again. Brilliant analysis Dina and Anna!
Very nice game, very swingy. And it is so much fun to also hear about the psychology behind it!

Dina’s memory is incredible. “You actually moved here because you were probably trying to…”

Haha, Anna thought Dina stayed away from the table to give her space but it was actually a trick to make her burn more time.
Love the recap!!! This is a great event, I am watching all of them live (don't tell my boss)
Great recap!!! its so fun and interesting to see
this is one of the most entertaining matchups i've ever seen with the masterful psychological plays and chess plays lol
I don't know anything about chess but I could watch you two talk in a different language all day long o m g😍😍😍 much love.
Two of my favorite personalities in all of chess!

Great post game analysis, it must've been rehearsed, but even better as the analysis is very deep and instructive. One step further in chess theory.
This is so Good !!

Until seeing this video now, I was thinking both are same person. They both look alike!
Dina got the right shirt on! ❤
I love the analyzing but you spoke soooooo fast :D but that is the result because both of you love and know the game so much I guess
Dina has the better fashion
I recon Dina chose that shirt that looks so much like something that Hikaru would wear, as a means to psyche out Anna.
Ladies' chat with their chess tactics on the board, Anna and Dina, both you great players.
Anna is so sweet, Dina better player and very good commentator !
I think this was a therapy session for Anna 😂
I really like see your train of though, remembering your decisions at the game. I was tempted to play it a 0.5... Your brains go too quick 😅

Two gorgeous women and chessplayers…..
How did you get a golden retriever to sit upright and play against you in chess Dina? 😉
Go Anna!
I think it's the pineapple shirt that brings her good luck 😂
WTF. I thought that the streamer focused chess players weren't that interesting (beside Hikaru maybe) but this is actually good. I missed out.
She's as good as Dina, despite Dina's approx. 200 more points in ranking, which is not a big difference in ability or talent.
gosto de jogar xadrez quando tenho vontade, mas geralmente jogo sozinho, mas sem o compromisso de vencer
Those damn pineapple shirts are cursed or something😅
Dina and Anna have Karma from past lives. This is their way of balancing it.

As a pineapple farmer, pineapples are cool.
My advice in life: Find someone that looks at you like Dina is looking at Anna at 0:50
I recently learned that pineapples mean your interested in swinging. Now I am wondering about the trend that Hikaru started…
Of course Anna is good at chess. I think that if she actually focused on playing she could be IM before 25 :) But I can't see the will in her to actually do it. The potential is there though. She just needs to do the work 😛
Is Dina wearing Hikaru's shirt?? Who knew? LOL

Yes little bit
Somewhere in LA, there is a lucky pizza delivery boy gonna deliver food to that house.
Not as good as her mom apparently
If she wanted to work she would be very good .
Nor her Dad. Anna is born to a family of chess
Dina was very fortunate to squeak by with a victory against Anna.
Eh, it was a draw after 77 moves.
