    Great vid. I love how smooth and slowly the gear operate on this thing. I wish the gear on the smaller 1.2m warbirds operated that slowly. At least I can be thankful they aren't like the old mechanical and pneumatic retracts that just pop up and down almost immediately.

    Great flier... I programmed flaperons on mine and it REALLY helps slow and tighten up the landings. 👌

      I use 5200 from grass, put the bigger wheel on the front ( one from the main in the T45 painted green) and mixed taileron and flaperon ( 15mm)
      I can achieve very short and positive take off , without trash away to much power, and land with speedbrake without loosin too much lift.

    Nice flight Rich! Yeah I fly her on my roaringtop 6250s and she feels really nice. She is a bit of a challenge to get slowed down and rolls down the runway like a freight train. I ended up splitting the Y at the connector for the ailerons and elevators as a simple mod, and programmed flaperons, which helped. I also think that if you go with flaperons, you have to do tailerons as well as the roll response gets really sluggish with flaperons down. I ended up programming differential in the ailerons with flaperons down only so that only the up traveling flaperon has deflection. The flaperons have some adverse yaw tendencies and that seemed to cure it. Great video!

    • @MrAxel1666
      @MrAxel1666 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do with 9ch as3x , you have to work a little with programmer and type of wing/tail in the radio to make it work.
      I also add a mix for taileron for deactivated when no needed.
      In the end you gain great authority in flight, and when i deploy the flaperon, I deactivate the aileron (they become just flap) and activate the taileron.
      You will have great control, without the bad tendency the flaperon have (sluggish and loose lift when you move the aileron in flaperon condition, one surface go too much down acting more like a speedbrake and you loos lift on that half wing)

    Love mine now that I removed the airbrake and run 2x4000mah packs and seperate esc. One battery in airbrake spot and the other up front. Cg is much better and I run tailerons and flaperons. She comes in like a kite now nose high.

      Be sure to modulate your throttle when flying your airplane. After takeoff, put the gear up and throttle back a bit... save your energy to extend your flight time. You should be able to get 3 to 4 min, even almost 5 min on a 7000 lipo.

      @RCINFORMER  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sigurdur, if you look on Facebook there’s a couple of groups that should have a number of people and who can answer your question probably better than me as they Do tend to fly their aircraft more frequently than I do (I tend to be jumping between different models fairly regularly as you would’ve noticed). If you have a look on Facebook for the “Horizon hobby air hangout” group, or “EDF Jet Clubhouse” i’m sure one of the guys in the group will be able to give you some pretty reliable settings to at least start from if nothing else because only you really know how much you want to slow it down🙂 thanks for the questions and supporting the channel👍

    How long does a 7000 battery take to recharge?

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question:) Depends on the rate of charge.... roughly 30 minutes. However, you want to let the battery cool to room temperature before charging again.
