    I saw the plane two weeks ago and checked what versions were there. It turns out they have... you know the as3x and safe and the plug and play. And then i saw this bundle with the battery and the plane. But what if you don't want the battery because you don't want to spend an extra 100 dollars on a charger but not the plug and play because you need your own receiver and you just want to put it together and bind it or the safe because you know or have flown a lot of edf's (if you have flown edfs before)
    please horizon do what you do for a example the f18 one version is just the basic as3x so please just come with one out just with the as3x

    Why is the SU 30 no longer available in the SAFE version? It is no longer available in your shop. Will the SU 30 be discontinued yet?
    After a long search I was able to find a single one and bought it. But I would be interested to know why it is only offered in the Basic version.

    When is Spektrum going to make a Safe receiver with more than 6 channels? That is why you could not offer the air brake and flaperons at the same time. I like to have the safety of Safe as I fly once in a while because of my job takes me travelling all the time. Same thing happened with your E-Flite EC-1500, you could not get retractable landing gear because of the cargo door. Having a Safe receiver with more than 6 channels will enable you guys to make more sophisticated and feature rich airplanes in the future. Just a suggestion.

    E-Flite is making very nicely done models. I am becoming an E-Flite addicted because their planes have the AS3X and SAFE system already included as well as the ordnance. Really difficult to stop buying them and to choose which one. I liked the EC1500 but i bought the F4, then i was a step far from buying the f18 when as a magia comed out the Su-30 and i am really puzzled about what will be the next one to come out from the magic cylinder in the next future! Becasue the Su30 is a BBB...

      @@laseonestar Full Cheers Lase, but oh boy this will be way too intense if this is your first EDF jet. It will make for some great video, but I do suggest buying something like the 64 mm F15 first. Get about 30 flights on it and then fly the mach out of this jet.
      If you want to buy it first and have it sitting in your hanger, that would be totally awesome and look as sweet and motivational as can be. But, ha ha, don't let it be the first EDF jet you fly my friend. Best, Josh

Woud I have any issues at the airport? Since I need to know the exact size of the box. Interesting to watch and hear arguments from someone who wants to sell a product. So:
    1.) I like the plane and will buy it. It looks great detailed. Rear engine covers could be in other color but OK.
    2.) That rotating main gears by retracting are great! Very scale. I wish Freewing would use them in it's F-14.
    3.) The greatest bullshit is to take off/land from grass. Maybe stadium like grass is OK, but all other type of grass stress the attach point of gear and foam too much. After while you see cracks. EPO EDF planes are not suitable to operate on common grass. Always use paved runway.
    4.) SAFE is great. I wish Spectru would come with 7-channel SAFE receiver to use flaperons on such planes.
    5.) Finally detachable nose cone. Not only cheap replacement by damaging it but great way to store the plane - nose down and lean to the wall.
    6.) I miss the vectoring system, but it's not so bad. It's not possible to have all.
    7.) Use batteries with > 50C. That 7000mAh 30C are not usable for these bigger EDFs with higher current consumption. I use Admiral 6S 6000mAh with 50C.
    8.) Not true that small planes are automatically easier to fly than this scale planes. Small planes like Viper, on which I learned also to fly EDFs, are light and wind sensitive by landing and jump by improper higher landing speeds. I await that this SU-30 will fly and land great!
    9.) Looking forward a lot on this plane. Really step forward from E-flite. 😘

    Beautiful plane ✈️ I want one

  • @Silver182
    @Silver182 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well I've got one ordered, did that today. The weight & the straight main landing
    gear I believe are the weak points from what I can see. They should have
    engineered main landing gear with spring loaded rear elbow reflux design a "mis". A second "mis" is no thrust vectoring until you fly a vectored Jet you have no idea how cool it is...
    I have flown thrust vectored SU's for years. The very first one out was the Hobby Lobby
    SU-34 twin 70mm which I still have two. Both are airworthy to this day. I have the Green Camo Aileron / Elevator
    vectored version, and the Blue white Camo 3 axis thrust vectored version. Both fly very well but are slightly underpowered when it comes to vertical maneuvers.
    I fly at or above 6,000 MSL.
    Anxious to see the power to weight ratio of this eflite version, at this altitude it maybe a little underpowered. With a durable airframe I could up the power, we will see.
    Thanks Horizon / eflite for coming out with this product.

    They're are taking my money and I can't stop them!!!!!!!!! I LOVE these planes. But I can't spend that on this plane. No way! I would have a hard time at 400 bucks. Not to mention no vectored thrust for cobra maneuvers and flat spins etc. Guess I'll just have to sit back and be jealous on this one.

    Can I use my ax3x from timber in this aircraft?

    • @HorizonHobbyProducts
      @HorizonHobbyProducts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! You can use the AR636 receiver from one airplane in another airplane, however, you MUST reprogram the receiver BEFORE DOING SO otherwise AS3X and SAFE Select will not work correctly which could result in a crash! Even if you reverse channels/servos in your transmitter so the control surfaces move the correct directions when you move the sticks, AS3X/SAFE may be responding in the wrong directions (also, the gains and other parameters will not be correct/the same from model to model)! You can either erase/zero out all AS3X and SAFE Select settings (so you do not have AS3X or SAFE Select), or you can load in the correct AS3X/SAFE Select receiver configuration file for the model you're installing the receiver in by downloading the file from this page (hover over the "RECEIVER CONFIGURATIONS" button to see the list of model files available to download): www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SPMAR636#prod_manuals
      You will then use one of these programmers to load the file into the receiver:
      Using a computer: spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SPMA3065
      Using a phone/tablet: spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SPMBT1000

    • @JoshWeaverRC
      @JoshWeaverRC 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it doesn't look like a Timber, so I don't think it will fly like a Timber.
      The serious answer though is they are tuned for each plane they come in.
      So, for real, if you are asking this question, pay the few extra bucks to get the BNF. Not only will you have the RX in the new bird that is tuned, but also you will still have an RX in your Timber.
      And yes, I did put an Apprentice RX in a FW190. A lot of work to get it right.

    • @NoonzAirborneRC
      @NoonzAirborneRC 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CVSiN if you want to do planes here is what I did. I got the eflite valiant (apprentice is good too) you can land ALOT slower with flaps and get the feel for it bc you have to react slower. Plus you have safe and the too I mentioned are real sturdy. Valiant is no pup either lots of power, fly sport mild 3d. When ya get the hang of landing. I got the eflite viper edf. Stable fast retracts and flaps. If you can lad the vIPer no issue then you get this or f18...i have a f18 new in the box when I'm ready. Biggest piece of info! Give yourself lots of space to land. As a heli guy landing a plane is simple...good approach and flare. Sound familiar? But trying to land let's say like a street in the country. You just made it harder.

      @@NoonzAirborneRC Thanks John good info here.. Appreciated.

    • @JoshWeaverRC
      @JoshWeaverRC 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CVSiN Also, even if you buy this, also buy a F15 to fly first. In addition to Apprentice or Valiant being a decent starter, so is the Timber. Huge flaps and light wing loading.
      But even with those planes, this is an EDF. What that means is the time to spool up the fan is not as small as a prop plane from hitting throttle to getting power out. If you come in to slow, well you just can't do that.
      The little F15 gets you use to the room to take off and also can get you use to using high alpha to slow the plane. I've flown quite a lot of planes and even this in the wrong runway is a nightmare. Of course, use a simulator.
