Always nice to get a deer on the last day of the season (what state are you in-last day in IL was Sunday, Jan 17th). What gun were you using and what was the distance? I see it has an octagonal barrel with a bead front sight- Hawken of some type? I have a Pedersoli Hawken that I use from time to time, though I put a fiber optic on the front to see a bit better in lower light conditions and use a rear peep sight
I'm hunting in PA. First time I can recall the last day being on a Monday. I was using a 54 cal Renegade flint lock. Patch and ball, the shot was about 50 yards. The GoPro lens makes It look further than it is. Deer dropped right where you last see it. Yes, nice to put meat in the freezer on the last day!
