- The Fish Hook asterism, also known as the Fishhook or Maui's Hook, is a recognizable and culturally significant star pattern in the southern hemisphere's night sky. It is not a traditional constellation in Western astronomy but is more of an asterism, a smaller, non-officially recognized star grouping within a larger constellation. The Fish Hook is associated with the constellation Scorpius.

Your video is exceptional ,fabulous. I have learned from one of your previous videos the fact that both stars named lesath and shaula contributed to form a structure called cats eye. Thank you so much .keep on uploading more videos like this. I will definitely adore them.
The other day , i noticed with very good binoculars that the crescent was between the constelletion of Libra and Scorpion .It was fantastic .
Enjoyed the Fish Hook; haven't seen a video from you in a while. As a youngster in the near country side of the Panhandle, my brother and I would look at the Milky Way core during the later part of summer. It was so pretty in the sky, with Scorpius and Sagittarius brilliantly displayed.

I see this constellation every night this side. I'm Bantubonke Aphiwe Bonongo from South Africa
I recently saw the scorpius constellation at dawn, yes it is a big constellation...nice video...😊
I see this constellation every once in a while. Sometimes the weather can be unfair do to clouds , but when I first saw this was back in 2014 I was amazed at how big Scorpious really is, I saw it in its entirety when I used to work at a golf course far away from the city. I loved staying in the parking lot watching all the star patterns and some meteors pass by. Scorpious is my favorite summer constellation. Libra and Sagittarius are a bit harder to see cause there stars are fairly faint.
Thanks. Nice story. Will see if I can find it tonight though city lights to the south bleach the sky.
Great Information! I probably saw it, but didn't know what it was. I am new to astronomy and just purchase my first real good telescope. I belong to a stargazing club in Eastern North Carolina and looking forward to spotting it at our dark sky site. Thanks!
Yes it is clearly visible from my home 🏠
as your grate tuitions i will aske you to make new tuition dissect what actually the stars we see if its nebula or cluster or galaxy when we scop it by telescope thanks
Thanks Janine. Unfortunately your last few target asterisms are virtually impossible for me to see as they are so low in my skies and hidden by trees. I want to thank you for all your videos.
I can't get the tail from my latitude and the last time I saw the tail of the Scorpion 🦂 was from Florence, Italy about 4 years back.Antares is easy for me but south thereof it gets difficult due to the thickening atmosphere.
I would like to ask what is the true picture of Scorpius, there's like a picture in goggle that has five stars in the right side, but in your video, it has three stars
The tin cup, would you like sugar and cream with your coffee or are you on the clock? Like the story.
Cygnus is flying towards Scorpio!
Points to Antares!
