The dance moves also represent the classic movie monsters. Frankenstein (Arms out), Wolfman (howling at the moon) Dracula (behind his cape) and The Mummy (arms bound in bandages)
Years ago Geoff played Frankenstein, his wife Kathy played the Bride of Frankenstein in the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue at Universal Orlando. They had Dracula and Wolfie in the show too. Monster Mash played when they opened the theater before the show.
Geoff's arranging and prodiction skills are as good as his voice, but perhaps not so obvious to everyone. Geoff has said “Did you pick up on the "la la la" section? It's Bach's toccata and fugue in d minor, just shuffled and swung”. VoicePlay has done their Halloween number, available to patrons currently. It's brilliant and J.None made a guest return appearance. I think you'll like it.. :) I agree with you about the descent into the depths, yes it's impressive, but it's not the be all and end all. his harmonies are spine tingling, and his humour is so attractive.
My favorite too! Last year was my very first exposure to Geoff followed very shortly by VoicePlay. The lady is his wife Kathy. Geoff had been in full makeup and couldn't stand it so Kathy redid the makeup. I recognized the end music - Fur Elise, but did not immediately recognize Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor which is music I have played when in band playing either a bass clarinet or my contrabass clarinet. Geoff has a remarkable range from B0 to A5 for 5 octaves.
Dick Clarks American Bandstand is where I heard this first in the '60s. Love what Geoff has done with the arrangement. Props to his choreographer. His wife as the screamer at the end was perfect. She also did the makeup. Dracula, Wolfman, Zombie, or Monster. Geoff can bust a move. hehe
He actually had to film it twice and the 2nd time Kathy, his wife(plays the undead girl in this)did his make up, it’s I believe Dracula, Wolfman and Igor, his dancing is fantastic in this and at one stage Igor Geoff does the floss too

Dracula, Wolfman, and Frankenstein's Monster actually since Igor would have a hunchback 🙂
And the dances are Frankenstein strangling, Wolfman slashing and Dracula swinging his cape up, and then wrapping himself up in his wings. (And at the end the Monster does the Floss!)

Watch the end again and watch Frankenstein Geoff doing the floss after he starts dancing with Kathy. Quite hilarious.

They have a new one going live tomorrow (today?) and it's Friends on the Other Side (I believe the villain's song from Princess and the Frog)
It was filmed at Pattycake Productions Studio and actually took ALL month for Geoff to do, he also has Bach toscatta(spelling?)& fogue(spelling?)in it on the La, La, La too
everything was great but the guy doing the Floss at the end was hilarious
I have to keep a FROG in my throat but let’s just say Voiceplay did so well and they have an exciting special guest
EVEN when expecting it, Kathy’s scream STILL makes me jump a mile

I agree with you on the super low notes and their timing. I've had people get pissed at me because I don't always like it. I like it to sound like it fits and it definitely does here. So totally agree.

I was afraid I wouldn't like this as I love the old one, but I think I may love this version better. And so funny! (Did you notice Kathy's posture during the dance - very dead-ish.

Depends. I heard the halo one is really short so we'll probably just listen to it. We do have our eyes on hoist the colors though.
@@HellaDepraved the video itself is 6mins long but if you do watch it then watch the outro to the video. There is a real meaning behind it.
It isn't that short though, it's a standard 3min long song, like the original.
In the Bobby Prickett Monster mash there is a bubbling sound from the lab equittment.

This might as well be the Beach Boys resurrected. Geoff would be perfect for some of their best songs.

That bit at the end was from Fur Elise, not Moonlight Sonata. Also, nifty easter egg from Geoff, the “la-la-la” parts were Toccata & Fugue in D Minor (Bach) on a swing beat. So cool!

They had to postpone the video and his makeup man couldn't make it so Geoff's wife did the makeup the best she could
I think there had to be at least 4 recordings for each of the characters because it would allow individual control of each to the editor. It especially allows each character to be sped up to where they're all in tune with each other. Thats my opinion at least. No matter what its one of the best music videos I've ever seen.
