Love or hate SMG4 videos, you have to admit that Smg4 has the balls to make fun of Susan Wojcicki, and tell you the truth, the Smg4 Susan looks better than the actual one.
I still really like smg4. yeah some of the jokes and stories fall flat and can be a little cringe at times, but i still really enjoy it and I think the issues I listed could be fixed with slightly improved writing.
Susan wojcicki is the target of a lot of jokes, it doesn’t take any balls to make fun of her, even if it is funny.

SMGLore.
The "Unlikely Friendship" might also be a reference to Mario's friendship with Slender Man. First appearing in "My Best Friend Slenderman", the two become best friends over the course of the episode. He also appears in multiple episode afterwards, usually helping Mario and the gang. This would make sense, since Slenderman was seen as a threat by everyone, yet he seems surprisingly friendly with Mario.

This is so surreal. I've never watched SMG4, and I've been on TH-cam almost every day for 10+ years. Started watching Iceberg videos out of curiosity, _(on incognito mode, to hide it from my reccomendations)_ and I'm fascinated but *SO* confused. I wish I understood the context behind this video - but the trend of fandoms are such complex objects, I don't know where to begin. We're all just a bunch of geeks obsessed with computer games, but I hope someone will make sense of our experiences on the internet, one day.

Can we just appreciate how good the world building for SMG4 is? A bunch of Mario meme videos that were made with random ideas created a world with so much depth that this video could be made.
I remember watching SMG4 in the 3rd or 4th grade, I stopped watching SMG4 when I was around 16 because I grew out it or something. I am now 19, and its STILL around?!? That's crazy! No wonder it has enough lore to make an iceberg!
I really think you should start watching it again, the series changed a lot and the arcs are surely interesting and perfect to this series.

@@SuperMarioPlushMasters I never really found it that funny to be honest, I watch it for the creativity in each episode, the great characters, the wacky stories and the overall narrative given through arcs. I know it's a channel most people watch for humor but while I find it funny from time to time both old and new SMG4 never were that funny to my kind of humor style. The best episode humor-wise was "If Mario Ran Nintendo" in my opinion, though.
Also, the arcs aren't fully focused on humor which is a nice change on some episodes, I really like the change of tone.
And to think it all started with Toad pranking Mario into assaulting Peach.

The one thing that confuses me most about the avatar theory is that if it were to be true how did Nathaniel Bandy make it into the series as his normal self rather than an 'SMG' in the episode 'War of the Simps'? All I can think is that it's due to his more distant connection with Luke and the fact that until then he hadn't directly influenced the production of the series.
He might've just been a slightly altered Mario-based model that had some costumization. After all, he still acted like a Mario.

The one that hits me the most is that Mario indeed fakes his stupidity. there was an episode (I forgot what the name was), where SMG4 Luigi and Mario were in a truck, and SMG4 said something that made Mario say something real smart, then after saying smart crap that made me look stupid, he says Pingas.

This was unexpected but I like to watch this because smg4 was pretty nostalgic when it comes to the old content and I assume this will be about that and the present, so i will watch this in 41 hours
Assuming the Meggy theory, which says that the old Meggy was left in the island and replaced with human Meggy, it is possible that there would be a storyline where Meggy starts to melt, or an alternative would be for the old body to somehow resurface with a different entity, also another explanation for Meggie's survival is the plot armor theory, which would affect her because if their close friendship, personally I find Meggy to be the most interesting character and it is visibly seen that SMG4 might agree, since in recent years she is the singular most used character aside from the main ones (Mario and SMG4), so it would make sense for more plotlines involving her to come
I found SMG4 shortly after the Waluigi arc, so I know there is a lot that I missed. That said, I’m so glad you spent your time researching and deep diving into their history
I highly recommend watching his videos from 2012-2014, imo they’re some of the funniest content on TH-cam even today

i only ever watched a few loreless videos of the series before this video came out it's that thing where you are a were of a series but never knew it had like, an actual fandom and lore until you watch one video on it. It's like finding out it's an iceberg in the first place as opposed to an anthill as opposed to taking the plunge yourself

No offense to the script writers and Kevin but the script is very awkward at times. and even with some of the things they make smg4 or smg3 say or others say. and it bother's me and others I know about it but I know its targeted to a younger view point but its so weird so us older viewers. also old videos are so much better.
Actually for that part with Toad in Da Glitch seeing Luke, it could have been a different Toad. Earlier in the iceberg its said that it's possible each time Toad gets seriously injured or dies, he is replaced. With that theory, Toad in Da Glitch seeing Luke could have been a different Toad in Mario In Real Life.
There's no greater joy than seeing an outsider's perspective on wonderfully mad series such as these.

Honestly regarding the last theory, I feel it’s inevitable. The only issue is how SMG literally stands for “Super Mario Glitchy”. There’s really no way to work around it. I just hope they manage to make Glitch’s Original content the big money maker before SMG4 gets the good ol destructive mangling copyright action.

It could also explain why SMG3 decided to banish SMG4 and take control of his channel, it's because he doesn't to be controled by his ennemy (but maybe SMG4 made him believed that it was his plan to advance the story...)

I’ve stopped watching SMG4 awhile ago, I want to say it was a bit after the release of meta runner when I totally fell off, But I never hated his stuff, I always had and still do have a huge amount of respect for the channel and what he does.
