The performance on Queendom is really good, but this channel is solely about the music itself. In the live version you can't hear the nuances and select power of the composition. When I listened to this song in the car for the first time, I was blown away because there was so much more to the song that I couldn't hear in the live version.
When queendom was first announced, i thought every group would release mv's for their final songs but instead only lion got one which was A++MAZING. All 6 songs deserve mv's 🥺 mnet clowned us lol

2:32 most underrated aspect of moonbyul that goes unnoticed thank you. She raps through the regular melody and tempo a lot of times and keeps such a good structure to it (not really sure how to describe it) without relying on a heavy beat drop. It’s so much harder to get it to flow in the way she does it, but she always kills it. Especially parts that she writes for songs like in immortal songs

I think I formed this thought not long after seeing one of those 'Hey, Cle--o-pat-a-ra' high note challenges, where Hwasa went incredibly high without losing control. It was very impressive, especially for someone more commonly associated with the lower register.
I never thought of these lyrics as the story of two people in love. I always thought of it as the story of the members of Mamamoo being destined to find each other regardless of the "universe" they live in, which is what the whole concept of the HIP video was. But, hey, fair enough, every can interpret art how they want to. =)
Yesk Blanco that is the literal meaning of the lyrics but yeah same I’ve always taken it as Mamamoo being destined together even if they’re not Mamamoo and that no matter what hardship they go through they’ll still be together, especially with that ending pose they did on Queendom.
The members of Mamamoo focused on their vocals since (I think, but not sure) their company said they can’t be a cute/pretty type of girl group so you can really hear and see the effect of that through the diversity of their music. They’re vocal queens and they worked on their visuals and performances throughout their career.

Destiny is very different than typical kpop genre. It does a very good job in painting a picture, I also like how it is composed to balance the energy throughout the song. The vocals are heavenly and the "Ra Ta Ta" part is straight up fire

Spaghetti western OST meets future trap? Only MMM and their RBW producers could pull it off this well. I think you should all watch the premiere performance of Destiny on Queendom to see how the song works in performance and because it tells a different story than the one Umu related. Mamamoo feels they were destined to be best friends regardless of whether they were in a group together and imo in the Queendom performance they told their story as a time-traveling kdrama style tale of souls who were fated to meet in multiple lives and go thru many dramatic struggles & failures before finally coming together to fulfill their destiny to be Mamamoo. The choreo is poetic and allusive rather than literal so you may think I'm reading too much into it but imo there are a half dozen moments and choices that can't be explained away as merely creating a nice stage picture and the iconic final pose may convince Daniel that the song's ending is justified. 😂
I love how they got an intimate feeling and an effort to connect with the audience from the song and talked about it, because that was exactly what happened in the live performance for Queendom. That was what set Mamamoo apart from the other groups. Even in the final round, Mamamoo were performing to reach the audience, because they know they can display their skills and charms the best when they are not specifically going for it and engage with the audience instead. Loved their reactions and analysis👍🏼

I lose it a bit every time someone pronounces Hwasa as "Hawasa" or something the first time😅 It feels like I'm the only one who got it right without actually hearing it from someone🙂 Not that I mind it, I was laughing with them(they are so funny)😂
It takes me several times listening the song then i start getting goosebumps. Then some imaginary war start to popup from my head and when the last part came, i came back to reality. This. Song. Makes. Me. Goosebumps. Every-time.
I used to have mixed feelings about the end, too, but I eventually realized that it was supposed to mirror the message of the song. We thought the end of the song was there in the way they thought the end of the relationship was there, but no, that's not the way destiny had it planned. The true "end" is the reminder that now the relationship is going to be rekindled and they "won't desert each other" in the way the first "end" seemed to signify with the sudden stop. To me, it's a perfect song. I don't consider myself very musically literate or knowledgeable so I don't pick up on things others might, but just as a listener, I adore it. Favourite Mamamoo song so far.
I think it will be nice to make the same guys to react to their "I Miss You" perfomance in queendom. I think there are really nice sounds in their voice and it's in live so... as someone who knows close to nothing about music, it's really interesting to hear their analyses, even though i don't understand all of it. i remember when queendom was airing and mamamoo won, the fans of some of the other groups who participated were mad about it and kept saying that mamamoo only won because they had a bigger fandom. i have to completely disagree, even the groups who participated in the show said that they were scared of competing against mamamoo, because they were THAT good. each performance they put up delivered so consistently, they were second place until the final round. they had it all - vocals, rap, stage presence, dance. i think the other groups did really well too but mamamoo absolutely deserved to win, they were on a whole another level!
it's my favorite track in their reality in black album. the drama of each section and the build-up to that bop of a chorus .. it was theatric anyway, mamamoo are vocal queens and every one should stan 😊

I used to have mixed feelings about the end, too, but I eventually realized that it was supposed to mirror the message of the song. We thought the end of the song was there in the way they thought the end of the relationship was there, but no, that's not the way destiny had it planned. The true "end" is the reminder that now the relationship is going to be rekindled and they "won't desert each other" in the way the first "end" seemed to signify with the sudden stop. To me, it's a perfect song. I don't consider myself very musically literate or knowledgeable so I don't pick up on things others might, but just as a listener, I adore it. Favourite Mamamoo song so far.

My experience of listening to this song for the first time was just having goosebumps after goosebumps.
as someone who knows close to nothing about music, it's really interesting to hear their analyses, even though i don't understand all of it. i remember when queendom was airing and mamamoo won, the fans of some of the other groups who participated were mad about it and kept saying that mamamoo only won because they had a bigger fandom. i have to completely disagree, even the groups who participated in the show said that they were scared of competing against mamamoo, because they were THAT good. each performance they put up delivered so consistently, they were second place until the final round. they had it all - vocals, rap, stage presence, dance. i think the other groups did really well too but mamamoo absolutely deserved to win, they were on a whole another level!
