I followed this method but could not get the basket out. the center pole can't go down any further with the jack. I also sprayed with wd40. any suggestions?
Harold, 75% of time is a loose allen bolt underneath on the rotor cover, maybe 15% of the time its a rusty shaft that can be sanded down, and 9% its clothes stuck in the tub. 1% of the time its a dirty or faulty rps sensor. I keep records and have an appliance business. So to your comment……..he was 25% likely of solving it with his method

That was a complete waste of his time. It has nothing to do with an F 51. More likely than not a dirty or faulty sensor on the motor.
not true, many folks have gotten the f51 error and it was due to clothing being stuck in between the drum.

I've been doing major appliance repair for 36 years and I'm telling you that was a complete waste of time.
