    I followed your advice in this video and your other one. My wife found the video for me. I was able to use a cheap reach stick grabber from Harbor Freight to reach down and grab a small towel that was down there without having to remove the tub. Thanks for the tips.

      No problem! Good idea to use the grabber to avoid removing the tub.

    The easiest check with only the top two screws on the rear green plates allows you to remove the shield. Check the tub for clothes! Try this first, it worked for me and the RPS Sensor is extra time and money you likely don’t need to spend! Great video and recommendations!

    Just had this F51. Turns out it was the screw holding the rotor on. It loosened up and was not seated fully. After taking it off I for the nut that hold the shaft and seal in was off as well. Tightened that down put the rotor back on and tightened up the bolt and it’s all good.
    Sadly I removed the Drum looking for sockets and underwear first.

    I have a Bravos and this error - will check for laundry stuck there, but gotta tell you I HATE this washer...low water levels, noisy as all get out, and hour long cycles. Only thing I like is the spin...good extraction.

      Shouldnt be to noisy your bearings maybe wearing out if its loud enough to be a ear soarer. Most likely the drain is blocked for the error cde.

    • @ernstdavilus4524
      @ernstdavilus4524 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@amorales9613 yes, depending on which model you have. There's a metal plate at the back with screws on it. You will need unscrew them. That will also facilitate you to remove the top cover, from there you will see and remove object that was blocking your Washer to function well.
      Tip: Don't put too many clothes in the washer when washing to avoid cloth from going outside the drum.
      If you do so, you will be ok 👍

      I no longer get the f51 code, but I really only just took the machine apart. I drained the machine and then when I took the machine apart again, I checked the machine again and removed a sock that was stuck between the steel drum and the plastic liner. Still no code, but when I start the machine it doesn't sound like it's washing anything. It sounds like it's just rinsing and spinning, only. Strange. The clothing seem like they are clean but really soiled rags don't get clean. I wonder what is wrong event though I don't get a code.

    If you unscrew the hex under the washer as you’re showing earlier in your video there is a large nut that goes onto the spindle and tightens it to the wash basin bottom. Mine fell out and stuck to the magnet on the stator thing. Fixed that and the code went away

      Sometimes, while dumping laundry basket into tub, a piece will lodge in there . Then, when spinning, it'll grab it and pull it between the liner and basket. Or if it gets out of balance, it may sling it in there.

  • @amorales9613
    @amorales9613 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for all your work. I couldn't get the tub out so the machine is still broken. I tried to fish out the clothing but I couldn't see any. I was able to start the machine and drain it. After I drained it I noticed a sock at the bottom edge of the tub where it meets the plastic liner. I fished that out with a clothes hanger. My understanding is the you really need to take the tub out because more clothing may be stuck under the tub and there is also a "filter" or drainage cap that you can open after you lift the tub out that needs to be cleaned. So is there another way to get to the bottom of the tub to see if there is any more clothes there?

      Removing the drum is very challenging. See the comment from Paul below. Sometimes the nut under the washer can be loose. I made another video about how I had to use a car jack and a 2x4 of the right size to wedge the drum out of the washing machine. (There are other videos on this topic about how to remove the drum--they make a special tool to do it but a cheap car jack and 2x4 can also work). It is very difficult. Good luck.

      @@fathersonrepairdiy I have to remove the drum again, with the jack and 2 by 4. This will have been the 3rd time. The shaft rusts, the drum will then no longer float because it is seized onto the shaft, and then comes the dreaded OL error code. So, no spin, no rinse, and useless washing machine. • @derreckmckenzie5521
      @derreckmckenzie5521 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      More like the spin cycle at 12000 rpms caused the light small items to pulled in. Its uses very little water so doubtful that it was from being so full, sometimes the clothes do even get very wet if over loaded which could cause the smaller things to be even lighter and more likely to lift during spin . But removing the drum isnt that difficult unless its stuck to the shaft but a small bottle jack and board makes easy work of that problem and would take many years to get that stuck again so if it was removed once already for the same problem it should come out easily this time.

    easiest way to remove the drum is to cut a pc of 2x4 wood 21” long and place a car jack on the shaft after you remove the wash plate and tub hub via the 6 screws. Place the car jack on the shaft and the wood under the rim of the tub, as you turn the jack nut it will force the drum up and free it, you can then lift it out easily. I have an appliance business and have done it many times

    Save that!!
    Put a new shaft and bearing kit if you have to but don’t get rid of that!
    By the way, that sensor is a rotor positioning sensor sensing magnetic pulses so dust will not even matter but the center allen bolt should have blue locktite and a firm snug
    Put a round shank Phillips screwdriver in the hole of the rotor hub to hold it as you tighten

      Sometimes people just empty their washing basket straight into the washer, these machines spin up initially to weigh the clothes, if there is any small items the centrifugal force traps them. I sell only these machines and maybe 1 in 10 have clothes stuck in them. You just have to pay attention

    • @derreckmckenzie5521
      @derreckmckenzie5521 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spin cycle is super fast lifts the small stuff up and it gets sucked in. Probally over loaded and with the low volume of water used in these machines some clothes stay dry in the overloaded loads so there even lighter and easily pulled up and in if small enough.

      @@fathersonrepairdiy I have this machine and have used it hundreds of washes - the issue is not overloading (damned machine won't even fill half way with water - no one would overload it) - the issue is poor design. The tub wobbles around in the washer casing and is OPEN all around the top. Anyone putting clothes into a washer could easily lose a sock or undies accidentally, just getting them into the machine. Very poor design - the machine unbalances constantly. Three towels upsets this machine. Hate it. Now it is midnight and I have this error (and a wet load of unspun clothes) and have spent an hour on youtube and do not have the tools to fix it myself. Or the physical strength, as a senior, to be dragging a drum out of the machine. Detest this machine - worst money I ever spent. Have been doing laundry for more than 60 years (and love doing it) but this machine is a shithole.
