Your modding tutorials are the best I have come across. I've always struggled with modding, (Still struggling with DA2) but these videos make modding so much easier.
I finally finished everything in da origins including dlc (WHAT A RIDE) and now I'm revisiting da2 with my new knowledge. Good to see this in 2021!
I have been trying to mod my game for the longest time, and your tutorial simplified it enough for my busy brain to finally grasp what to do. Thank you so much!
why do I always find you whenever I need modding tutorials? Either way these are a great help
I had no idea had to mod DA games, but your tutorials are extremely helpful! Thanks!💖
I love your modding guides - short, consistent, understandable; thank you.
Sorry for asking, but did you end up uploading the video on how to manually edit the chargenmorph files? I can't seem to find it if so. Thanks so much for this, I'm only now playing this game for the first time :D
Thank u for this, needed it solely to fix zevrans romance dialogue. He will acknowledge my wardens presence at last.
YES! so excited, love this series lol
here again following the mods from your selection. yet another easy to follow informative video. thanks again.
Thanks. Easiest when someone points out the folders.
One suggestion for others. Create a holding folder in your game folder for all your mod downloads, ex: _MODS/ I place a readme on how to install mods, like a link to this video. Under that I put the extracted mods I have downloaded, then copy the files where they need to go. This way you have all your mods including ones you like but aren't currently using. Also, if you have conflicts you can see which files each mod is altering if it isn't in an erf file.
Mass Effect Legendary edition got me playing dragon age again lol i cant wait to try modding DA2
OMFG!!! are you gonna have a let's play for this game? this is my 2nd fav. of the Dragon Age games, Inquisition being my fav. becuz i love and adore being able to romance Cullen.
For right now I'm just going through and finishing up the Dragon Age modding tutorials {still need to do DAO + Chargenmorph} but maybe down the road I'll do a DA2 let's play!
hey, thx a lot, i had crash and lags with 30mods in document, and i put my override file programme file / da2 / core, and no more crash i can up the settings video ect. You re my saver
Any update on the charge morph video? Struggling over here. Just want nice hair!
Update: my friend simply sent me her whole override folder with the chargenmorph and everything
"Update your chargen morph file, I have a video coming up that will explain how to manually edit that file/use an exe" This would be very helpful right about now, trying to download your recommended DA2 CC mods, seemingly followed all instructions and then used the chargen.exe but they don't show up in CC and i'm at a loss. Can't get lockbash to work either and I made sure to put it in Addins but the toggle ability does not show up.
yeah me too :') did you find a solution ??
@@MariLoOn Been a while but I was putting lockbash in the wrong spot even though it looked right. I don’t remember anything else.
@@nosdi1813 Okay, I'll see what i can do ! thank you very much :3
I started playing Inquisition again....now I have to go back to 2 and add these 🤣
Do you have a video of character creation for dragon age 2 ?
In my mod spotlight playlist I have a DA2 Character Creations favorite mod vid!
Thanks for the guide, may I ask if the "Override folder" method that create in the game file (not in C:) can be apply to DAO too?
You can for specific mods, others need a different kind of install method but location wise you can do it just like this! I do have a separate vid that goes over how to install mods for DAO that might be helpful!
@@FoodThenGames Thanks for your quick response, I'll be sure to check it out ;).
Love your voice.. tnx for the tutorial
I've done everything in this tutorial's instructions, but none of the hair or facial preset mods are appearing in the game, and it's really getting annoying. I tried using the Chargen compiler, but that didn't work either. I made an override folder in my install directory and docs folder and put all of my mods in both of them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I even followed the instructions that are in the mods. Please let me know if I'm doing something incorrectly, or if you know of someone else who is experiencing the same issue and can offer a solution.
Did the mods that you picked come with a xml file? Some require a manual chargen morph compiler -- I'd suggest checking your chargen morph file in your documents folder ( should be in the override folder within your documents folder) that the mods are listed. If you don't have a chargen morph after using the compiler than that means that nothing was compiled as that's where it usually installs the new xml file.
Also, I would make sure the mods are only installed in either the directory OR the documents folder and not both as that can cause issues!
@Food Then Games Some mods had an xml file, while others didn't. I'm not sure if it matters if they didn't. I was careful to only download mods that have an xml file because I was worried of messing up if I tried to manually edit them.
I had the game reinstalled since I believed there was a problem with the game itself. If there are any changes, I'll update. Thank you!
Edit: Reinstalling also did not work. I don't believe I'm doing anything incorrectly because I carefully followed every tutorial (even though they were all the same), but it still won't function. Since none of these mods are even remotely similar, I'm confident it's not a conflicting mod. I searched everywhere, but it appears that I'm the only one experiencing this issue. I suppose it was simply not meant to be, but whatever.
Update: I got it to work, finally! I just used that massive charger morph xml file from nexus and replaced it with the one already in there. I download the required mods and it's working perfectly!
You can still upload characters to keep? I thought it was borked. Turning off dev console didnt work for me on DAO but i do have a view console text mod. So maybe i should remove that and see
would this work if i put a flash drive in a labtop/chromebook????
I did everything that should be done, but the mods dont work. I want to costomized hawkes face, and I cant even though I put everything in it still dont work. What can it possibly be?
have you updated the chargenmorph file? If not that would be why!
@@FoodThenGames how to i update it if u wouldnt mind me asking, im not good with pc stuff.....
@@FoodThenGames how do we do this?
Do you think it's better to mod DAO and DA2 without the help of anything? I use Vortex but I'm unsure if I should stop and just do it manually instead.
Honestly it comes down to personal preference -- I prefer the manual installation personally -- I can keep better track of everything plus I don't need to worry about deploying, updating, etc with Vortex ... I do that enough with Skyrim and FO4 😂😂
@@FoodThenGames Thanks for your input! I might change to just manually installing it then hahah
I have a question about the console commands. For DAO you had to edit the text file (my game is on steam) and download the mod to make the console visible. Is it the same for DA2? Does the same work for both DAO and DA2?
You do have to edit the text file for DA2 and honestly I forget if I had to put in a console visible mod it's been so long 😂
thanks very high quality
So, I downloaded DA and DA2 on my laptop, but the BioWare folder only shows Dragon Age->Settings->Addins and offers. There’s no other folders for DAO or anything relating to DA2 at all. What should I do?
I'd try starting up DA2, making a save quickly and seeing if that gets the folders to show up!
What is the dress on the thumbnail?
I forget the name of it but it is available on nexus!
Hey! So i have a question, to install cc hair I have to have that Chargen mod right?
Either the chargen morph mod or manually combine chargen files!
@@FoodThenGames Okay thank you
W tutorial
pls help about chargenmorph file i cant use the ks hair and lots tint mod :(
There’s a mod on nexus you can use that will combine them!
any ideas what to do if the game crashes after installing mods? I installed the mod which adds missing items and feel like the game randomly crashes every hour or so
maybe an LAA patch will help? Could also just be the mod itself !
My document folder dont exist pls help
You're looking for your base document folder not one in the game or anything -- if you open a window with your files, on the left hand side you should see "desktop, downloads, documents" you're looking for that documents folder!
Very useful
te amo flaca!
