We need a class action against Samsung. Samsung has been feeding us lies for years. There are a lot of people with defective lens and they keep telling them it's normal. In a lot of cases it's not normal. My phone has been repaired twice, every time the rattle comes back really loud. It goes away when you use 10x zoom but that does not prove that it is not defective. Also, when you record a video you hear the rattle which is INSANE for a company to say that's normal. We need to group together and blast Samsung on this.... NOTE: It's normal if you hear a SLIGHT rattle when you AGGRESSIVLEY shake the phone, but if you hear the rattle from rotating your phone then you have a defective lens. Good luck working with Samsung warranty. This is utter BS for a flagship phone. This is utter BS customer service from one of the biggest cell phone brands. A phone that rattles loud when you slightly shake the phone is NOT NORMAL.
@@pradeepjayakumar401 the worrying part is that when I went to samsung both times to get the phone repaired the repair lineup was very long! Infact those customers made up 90% of the people in the store.. lol.
Just dropped my Pixel 9 Pro XL and it started rattling badly. Everything works well, the rattling stops when the camera is active, but it is really annoying. Not sure if anyone can fix it here where I am from, Pixel is not sold in my country officially.
thanks for this. Im so sick and tired of being told its normal. My phone got wet and then started doing this. I thought it was water sloshing inside so i took it apart and its dry with no corrosion. But the camera is making the noise. I have another s22 ultra with a bad sim reader and it doesnt make this noise. Might use parts from it to fix this one. Not sure. But i am so sick of every rep saying its the ois and to just not shake the phone lol
@blairdavis yes, thank you for your comment. You could swap the cameras from the one with sim card issue. One more advise- the sim card slot is part of the charging port..You could replace charging port and it should work as well..
Well, owned s21 ultra before and the camera started to rattle after drop, when got s24 ultra checked if the camera rattles and it DID NOT. Today accidentally dropped the phone from the bed onto linoleum, literally 45cm height, and this rattle appeared... Those who say that this is normal IOS operation, please explain why there was no rattle before drop and it appeared after drop? Has anyone figured out what exactly breaks in the 5x camera so it makes this noise?
no its not "faulty" thats how the camera system works... the sound comes form the camera moving around so it can deal with shaking while recording. if it doenst make the sound, it means it doenst move and that makes every video recording shaking. this is called OIS (optical image stabilization). the "new" camera you got is bad quility and doenst have that feauture. please research before you post things like this. this is normal, every phone with OIS makes this sound, but the note 20 ultra and s22 ultra's are just louder
on my S23u it is much more extreme than just shaking the device, I dropped it the other day and now I just gently turn it from side to side and it makes this noise! , even if I record a video and turn on the device, noise comes out during the recording!
@@JLCubing there is "normal" rattle and then there is extreme rattle. This video shows extreme rattle, i know because I have same issue. If I am recording and rotate phone I can literally hear it clunking around on the video..to be clear i am not aggreasivly shaking the phone. This is an example of extreme rattling. I know samsung uses cheap parts because I had my module replaced under warranty and its a diff part number. It took a lot of effort to get it replaced under warranty by the way, too much effort... Samsung is a disgusting company that overcharges on flaghip devices but does not provide flagship customer service.

S23u & S22u is different in OIS periscope system. Some youtuber already compare those 2 phone

it's a very fragile part. the zoom camera is the one that's rattling as its easy to.damage with a drop..
where can i buy a periscope 10x zoom camera for my samsung s23 ultra

You are right
Why does this happen?
samsung uses cheap parts
normally a drop can damage the camera.

Stop selling cameras without OIS to stupid people.
there is nothing to sell.
