Doc there is so much here to unpack. Let's start at the beginning: This is obviously the best thumbnail you have ever released! I am impressed and appreciative, all at the same time! My favorite story to hear from bikers, is about how many great people they meet through our shared love of motorcycles. Trading stories with likeminded people about motorcycles and traveling on them is very rewarding. One of the best weekends I have had was one I barely rode anywhere: The Touratech Rally. I spent 80% of time talking to other bikers and 20% riding. I spent decades skiing and decades whitewater kayaking. I met and enjoyed those hobbies with MANY people, but nothing is like meeting and trading those stories with bikers. I was just talking to a Greg today about how we are going to bury this other guy's bike in deep South Carolina sand and film it! So much fun to be had with bikers! #$%#! people who take the time out of their day to be a &^#$%# in comments, (Please read that in Obi-Wans voice.) I am not think skinned, and I have no issue with anyone telling me I made a mistake, or that my idea is downright dangerous! I am just some guy who owns a motorcycle and a camera. There is not, however, any reason to pop into channels and insult people or the other commentors. Get a %^&$@ life already. (Thanks for the voice, Obi-Wan). The sound in your voice when riding in this video reminds me of that magical feeling when you get a new (or new to you) bike. Its special, it's yours, and it opens up your imagination to all the adventure you can have on it. @@doc650adventures I'm an underground miner we are working at about 7,000 to 8,000 ft. The road leading to the mine has about 10 to 15ft of snow. In the town of Elko, we only have about 6 inches right now. Most of the roads are clear.
So true! It needs to be babied until you reach the 600 mile point. I also changed the oil early 150miles due to metal flakes during the break in . Great comment ADV!
Seems like the seagulls fly in on every channel from time to time. Sometimes I like to comment back because it's fun. 😁 I have to admit the new V-strom 1050 is a pretty nice bike. Thanks for breaking it out in a video.
Hey Greg! Yeah, this is older footage I put together to placate Frank LOL! The seagulls do fly around quite a bit and I figured I would address that issue. I used to comment back but I usually just zap em now. The new V-Strom is a sweet bike made to crunch miles. What little dirt I have done, it performs great. Glad you liked the video! Cheers!

Great video man. I have a Yamaha fjr1300 myself and a 2022 Kawasaki klr 650 traveler model. But the new updated 2023 ktm 890 adventure base model not the r model is looking very awesome lol.

Very true! It is nice to have that flexibility. Too much planning can turn into a not so fun ride when you have to be somewhere at a certain time.
