Hey, did you know that in terms of solo pure physical Pokémon Yellow challenge, Vaporeon is the worst matchup for your Pokémon? Not only are they in no egg group, because Yellow had no Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon are an average of 3"03' tall and 63.9 pounds. this means they're large enough to be able to handle Body Slams, and with their impressive Base stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can't even three-shot with Seismic Toss. Due to their mostly water based biology, there's no doubt in my mind that a STAB Hydro Pump Vaporeon would be incredibly powerful, you could easily lose to one for hours without getting progress. They can also learn the moves Haze, Mist, Aurora Beam and Quick Attack along with not having Physical weaknesses to exploit, so it'd be incredibly easy for one to carry the Rival battles. No other Pokémon comes close with this level of difficulty. Also, fun fact, if you get frustrated enough, you can make your knuckles turn white. Vaporeon is literally built to crush physical attackers. Ungodly defense stat + high HP pool + Acid Armor means it can take physical attacks all day, all types and BP and still come for more.

Hey guys, did you know that Vaporeon is a Water-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 1? Vaporeon is number 134 in the National Dex, and a member of the Field egg group. It evolves from Eevee when exposed to a Water Stone. Vaporeon has a base stat total of 525, as do all Eeveelutions, and it has the ability Water Absorb. Vaporeon learns various strong moves, such as Aurora Beam, Surf, and Acid Armor. Vaporeon is a blue Pokemon with a quadruped build, weighing in at 64 pounds and standing 1 meter tall. Vaporeon's design is inspired by dogs, foxes, mermaids, dolphins, and fish. Vaporeon is able to hide in water due to its chemical makeup being similar to water, according to various Pokedex entries. Vaporeon is the only Eeveelution in Generation 1 that is not weak to Ground-type attacks. Many Trainers like Vaporeon for its design, which mixes cool and cute, as well as its good stats and movepool.
I can already see how Flareon's is gonna go: Gen I, bad Gen II, bad Gen III, bad Gen IV, bad Gen V, bad Gen VI, hey it finally got Flare Blitz! Still bad
Generation 1 - Flareon had one of better attacking stats in the game, but only Normal and Fire-types for attack. It was easily countered by Rhydon and Golem, and almost all Water-types (with the possible exception of Cloyster) also checks it. Body Slam and Fire Blast are its better attacking options. The paralyze effect of Body Slam is great in Generation 1. Otherwise, its best options are Quick Attack (the only priority move of Generation 1, and also helps its low Speed), Hyper Beam (don't need a recharge turn if defeats an enemy). Fire Spin can be a option, but due to its awful accuracy and Flareon's low Speed, is a discharded choice. Mimic is an option. If you have lucky, can copy Rhydon and Golem's Earthquake, as well Lapras and Starmie's Thunderbolt. Generation 2 - Flareon lost 15 points in its Special Attack with the split. However, Flareon received a buff in its movepool. Shadow Ball is an option for Psychic-types, Gengar and even Misdreavus. Growth is the only move that raises Special Attack in Generation 2, and can be combined with Hidden Power, Bite and Fire Blast. Hidden Power Water or Grass are the better options against Rhydon and Golem. Hidden Power Fighting is the best option against Tyranitar. Hidden Power Grass or Electric are the better options against Water-types. Otherwise, the best option is Quick Attack, whose retains the only priority move, aside from the signature move Mach Punch from Hitmonchan (though Hitmonlee and Hitmontop can still get it). Body Slam and Return are other options. Zap Cannon, despite its terrible accuracy, can be useful for paralyzing the foe. Charm sharply lowers the foe's Speed. Baton Pass is an option for Growth or Curse. The Endure/Flail combo can be also useful, but Flareon is slow. Yawn can be used, but unfortunately it has poor Speed. Generation 3 - Outside of Wish and Overheat, Flareon received the ability Flash Fire. The Toxic mechanic also has changed to make it useful. Generation 4 - Stealth Rock and Waterfall/Aqua Tail users hampered the life of Flareon. Aside from this, its only physical STAB move is Fire Fang. Despite this, Lava Plume has 30% chance of burning the foe, while Will-O-Wisp gives it a free burn in the foe. Superpower is an option for Rock-types. Generation 5 - Flareon received Guts from Dream World, while raises Attack by 50% under any status ailment. With this, aside from its very high Attack, Flareon can use Facade perfectly. Flame Charge is an option to raise Speed. Generation 6 - Flareon finally gets Flare Blitz, but nothing aside from this.

**Hi there** I'm that "Solomon R" you mentioned. I just wanted to point out that waaaaay back in 2012 I used vaporeon in my 2nd year of VGC and got a top 16 (I think I got 9th) placing with her during my region back in the Uk, I was trying to figure which water type would help me during the time and she was actually MVP that helped me get top cut back then. Misdreavus was really good and annoying Perish Song trapper in Gen 2. In Gen 3 it was outshined by Gengar and Dusclops. Then due to years of power crept I assume is now in the NU for the rest of the gens.

Terrible in the first gen and only really good in gen 2 after. After Gen 2 it became terrible due to power crept. I imagine the Alola form is the same.
They did Just not in her gym battle My guess is becoming it would be to bulky and would be way to bulky 130 HP and 110 or 95 SpD to beet image it using wish and stab bubble beam coming from 110 SpA
It is (sadly) horrible. It doesn't really have any great stats except it's Attack and Speed. It's straight up useless until Gen 4 where it gets Toxic Spikes, Defog and U-turn. And in Gen 6 it gets a stupidly strong mega evolution. Aaaand... That's it. It's useless in pretty much every generation. (Which is really sad considering how much I like it) It's mega is the only good thing it really has.
you have to admit it would make for a funny episode 1: Horrible 2: Horrible 3: Horrible 4: Horrible 5: Horrible 6: RIDICULOUSLY GOOD (from what I hear, never used it that much personally)
Do you think Misdreavus and Mismagius should be separate videos like Porygon 2 and Z were? I heard that there was a time where Misdreavus was banned from Little Cup.
Lying is not good, makes you untrustworthy. Best bet is that Wolfe will never be involved in competitive Pokémon again because some really do get offended ;)
Luiz Fur Coat would be nice. Guts is literal troll move by Game Freak since you can't burn a Fire Type with Flame Orb. Imagine it was a poison type in addition. You would need to run RestTalk to abuse Guts.
Oh my GOSH! That was it! That's the thing I've been trying to find for AGES! Years ago, my family went to NYC Pokemon Center where my sister and I put in our Silver version in this weird machine. It ended up giving us a Shiny Suicune (still have it), but it's been so long that when I tried finding information about it, I couldn't. Now I know! Thanks FSG!
Gen 1: Uber, the most powerful Pokémon in the game Gen 2: Uber, not as good due to losing amnesia special bulk and Dark types, but still insanely powerful Gen 3: Uber, Best calm mind sweeper in the game, still hates dark types but still insanely powerful Gen 4: Uber, the physical special split gave him better coverage like Shadow ball, Signal Beam, Focus blast and Aura Spere, so dark types are a little less scary, oh and now it can run choice scarf Gen 5: Uber, same as Gen 4 but uses Psystrike now instead of Psychic, is not even special walls scare him Gen 6: All 3 are Uber, regular now exclusively runs choice scarf due to Y being way faster than him, Y is the most similar to what we’ve seen before, just a little frailer and way faster, X is a great mixed attacker due to its base 154 SpA and now 190 Attack, or it can be an all out physical attaker Gen 7: Uber, same as Gen 6 There you go
In my opinion flareon would have done better if was made in any other generation the SPECIAL stay mean it was curse with terrible special defense, it gen 1 that doom flareon, still my favorite gen 1 eeveelution
I find it extremely funny, but concerned at the same time, that there are WATER type Pokemon that can learn Thunderbolt. One of the is even part Flying as well.
14:58 Baton Pass wasn't nerfed, which implies a change in game mechanics. In fact, it was repeatedly restricted more and more by Smogon Singles formats all the way to complete banishment in part because it _wasn't_ nerfed by Game Freak.
Gen 1: I was in the UU the only thing it had was that it was faster then Tauros and was only good when the opposing team was disabled. Gen 2: It was severely nerfed due to how critical hits where changed that made Hyper Beam useless. It was still a decent UU Pokemon the only thing that hurt it was Rock and the introduction of steal Pokemon. It had a bit of more time to shine since Tauros was banned in UU and not good enough to be an OU Pokemon (basically in the Black Listed tier). Gen 3: It was outclassed by better normal types due to its stats that were starting to become average since it could not deal that much damage and it could not take too much damage. He was okayish Pokemon in UU since he was the fastest Hypnosis user. Same counters as before especially Golem who is now a UU Pokemon. Gen 4: Outclassed by Ambipom in most UU teams. The only thing it had over it was were its slightly higher special attack and access to attack Hypnosis and Switcheroo. He also received Nasty Plot and the new ability Technician gave him a bit of a boost as a special sweeper and scout. Gen 5: Now in the NU tier and is outclassed by Liepard as a scout due to Prankster. Persian was okayish niche Pokemon in NU due to Fake Out, U-turn, and its good Speed. It was used a bit in VGC12 supposedly due to its new ability unnerve (which helped counter teams that held berries which were very common in the VGC Meta) and outpaced most of the Fake Out users. Gen 6: Got demoted to the PU tier. It is the fastest Pokemon in PU however when it comes to being a normal physical attacker it is outclassed by Purugly due to its attack stat and ability defiant.Outside of that Persian is decent Nasty plot user. Gen 7: Normal Persian is the same just with Normalium Z. His Alola form is slightly better and now currently in the RU tier. It's alola form was used a bit in VGC17 alola only dex due to it's speed which outspeeds most of the nonchoice scarf users, movepool (parting shot, snarl, fake out, foul play etc,) and its ability Fur Coat which gave it some physical bluk.
I love Persian. Very underrated pokemon. It may lack bulk but if it had it, it would easily be one of the best pokemon. I have ruined many a person's day running persian with many gimmicks up it sleeves.
The Missing Link Awesome! I agree Persian would be one of the best mons if it had more bulk for sure! Persian is usually the last Pokemon I use that finishes the job rather nicely as it has a decent movepool that can cover most of its weaknesses (at least in the 1st and 2nd gen since those are the two I play competitive) and I don't have to worry about defense to much as long as I can KO the rest that are disabled or weakened/slower.
Probably my favorite video you've done so far. Commenting on the Growth and Celebrate sets made it really enjoyable as it wasn't just "This is why it was good or was terrible..."
Flareon was actually decent in Gen 1. Special Attack and Special Defense were one stat in that generation, so every Eeveelution's Special stat was 110, including Flareon's. In comparison to what came to be a 95 Special Attack stat (fuck you Game Freak) this meant that it could attack super hard on both physical and special fronts. Plus, in the first generation, Dig had a power of 100, and there was no such thing as Levitate to avoid it; only Flying types were safe from it.
Hey guys, did you know that in terms of Water-Type Pokemon and teambuilding versatility, Vaporeon is my favorite Pokemon? Not only is it in the Field egg group which allows for an amazing egg movepool, Vaporeon has a Base HP of 130 and Base Special Defense of 95, which means they’re bulky enough to be able to handle special sweepers and with their impressive Base Stat for HP and a comparatively solid Base Defense, this means they can tank rough attacks. Due to their singular Water typing, there’s no doubt in my mind that a minmaxed Vaporeon would be incredibly bulky. So bulky that you could easily switch on prediction for turns without getting swept. They can also learn the moves Wish, Substitute, Heal Bell, Toxic, and Scald, along with having Haze to prevent setup, so it’d be incredibly easy for one to tank for your team. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover damage with enough strategy. No other Pokemon comes close to this level of versatility. Also, fun fact, Vaporeon has the highest HP Stat of all Eeveelutions. Vaporeon is literally built to tank on switch. Rock-solid Defense stats + high HP Pool + Acid Armor means it can take attacks all day, all shapes and sizes, and still come for more.
Choo-choo. Let's keep the eevee train rolling with asking "How good was Flareon, actuallly?" ... will bring us to 5 covered, 3 to go from this highly spread evolutionary family.
So i was just wondering why this thing doesn’t get calm mind in recent games? It could actually run a sweeping set with cm, acid armor and stored power
Could you perhaps make a video about breeding them? I keep hearing from friends that Vaporeon is the best for that but can't seem to find any content about it on TH-cam
Hey guys, did you know that in terms of human-pokémon companionship, Vaporeon is the most compatible friend for humans? It keeps all of Eevee’s perks and adds a couple more. Since it’s a water type, Vaporeon is the most friendly and playful one of the eevee-lut-ion-s (and some of them are also really calm and relaxed, so there’s variety too). It’s also the only one without any fur, so you don’t have to worry about it. This bad boy/girl also can pack a pretty wide moveset, and can protect your loved ones when needed, and don’t forget that it’s a water type, which can carry you around with surf or make sure your kids are safe when you’re at the beach. But that’s not all, it can also learn moves like scald or ice beam, which, with a little training can come in handy if it’s too hot or cold outside (think of it like a sprinkler). And last but not least, it’s super squishy to the touch, and nice to hug.
If I recall right, Acid Armor is called Liquefy in Japanese, which fits better (and makes me wonder where they got "Acid Armor" from to begin with). Thank you for doing my favorite pokemon ever!
shitty lol. Not even worth doing a video. But then again, Meganium wasn't worth a video either. It took 4 gens for Flareon to get to use its massive attack stat. But it still just sucks. High Attack, poor speed, and poor defense doesn't make a good pokemon competitively. On top of all that, its a mono fire type...
Angelo Marasigan Every Pokemon is usable. I could stick a focus sash on spinarak and have him function as a lead with the sole purpose of setting sticky web. But why do that when it's much better Pokemon that can fulfill that role...
Gen 1. In smogon, Mewtwo was an Uber. The only other Uber in the game was Mew, which Mewtwo completely raped with a combination of Amnesia and Shadow Ball.
Gen 7, Vaporeon is in a sad, sad state. At the time of this writing, it is B ranked in NU, because Alomomola exists and hard eclipses it, Baton Pass is outright banned, and super powerful electric and grass mons exist which completely gut Vaporeon. Unless it gets a severe movepool overhault or some better stats (Neither which I see happening anytime soon if at all), it's only going to drop from power creep.
Hi False Swipe Gaming, I have an honest question about other content creators. I've seen a lot of people around youtube and Pokémon Amino who make content similar to yours, where they analyze Pokémon in competitive play throughout every generation. Most of them even credited you as their inspiration, and none of them used your content word for word, and if they did, again, they credited you, and still, they get hate comments saying they're plagiarists or they stole from you. My main question is; do you have anything against other content creators making similar content to you? I want to know just to let other content creators know what you think about them taking inspiration from your work. Thanks in advance!

It is (sadly) horrible. It doesn't really have any great stats except it's Attack and Speed. It's straight up useless until Gen 4 where it gets Toxic Spikes, Defog and U-turn. Gen 2: Uber, not as good due to losing amnesia special bulk and Dark types, but still insanely powerful
Gen 3: Uber, Best calm mind sweeper in the game, still hates dark types but still insanely powerful
Gen 4: Uber, the physical special split gave him better coverage like Shadow ball, Signal Beam, Focus blast and Aura Spere, so dark types are a little less scary, oh and now it can run choice scarf
Gen 5: Uber, same as Gen 4 but uses Psystrike now instead of Psychic, is not even special walls scare him
Gen 6: All 3 are Uber, regular now exclusively runs choice scarf due to Y being way faster than him, Y is the most similar to what we’ve seen before, just a little frailer and way faster, X is a great mixed attacker due to its base 154 SpA and now 190 Attack, or it can be an all out physical attaker

My cousin has a vaporeon that has been the bane of my existence since gen 3.
Came back here to see the comments about the celebrate vaporeon being faked lol I love that
*How GOOD was Persian ACTUALLY PLEASE?*

Lorenzo Martinelli. Bad until It got the fairy type....a flareon video would be more interesting.
Luan Viera well, Flareon has been bad since Gen 1, no matter how the meta changed. Perhaps a Flareon video wouldn’t be that interesting either
Lorenzo Martinelli. Actually, i think you are right. i mean It was BL in Gen 2.
Luan Viera actually it was quite a threat in gen 4 uu. And in gen 5 it got unaware which helped it to not go to nu
Thank you for your service comrade. You've given us the good ending to this cursed meme cycle.

th-cam.com/video/ik00zvJypYY/w-d-xo.html

Flareon on PU meta
Still usable. It's just that... players just prefer better options. They wanted to win after all. Obviously.
Angelo Marasigan Every Pokemon is usable. I could stick a focus sash on spinarak and have him function as a lead with the sole purpose of setting sticky web. But why do that when it's much better Pokemon that can fulfill that role...
I'm thankful that this video came out before the copypasta happened.

Mark Rodriguez Mewtwo!!!! Aaaaaagghhh!!!

Shadow Ball wasnt in Gen 1
DeltaTheAwsome PSYFrame funny thing is it was in the mewtwo strikes back movie
Gen 7, Vaporeon is in a sad, sad state. At the time of this writing, it is B ranked in NU, because Alomomola exists and hard eclipses it, Baton Pass is outright banned, and super powerful electric and grass mons exist which completely gut Vaporeon. Unless it gets a severe movepool overhault or some better stats (Neither which I see happening anytime soon if at all), it's only going to drop from power creep.
Unless Alomomola goes to UU, of course
I feel like the eeveeloutions should have a wide movepool considering the whole gimmick of eevee is variety
Vaporeon is in Limbo now!
I think it's actually around A rank in NU now.

Hi from 3 years later, is it still your favourite pokemon?
Come on Flareon, my favorite Eeveelution.
