  • Here's a longer video of my favourite things about Lever:
    1. Instant visibility
    2. Communication across pipelines/recruiters
    3. Rapidly reviewing applications (Recruiting for Scale)
Recruiters, reach out if you have any questions:

    This was amazing.
I have a quick question, can a recruiter or a company see if someone is applying to different companies?
Like let's say someone is applying to JP morgan, coinbase, uber etc at the same time. Would lever inform the recruiter that I have multiple applications going?

Thank you! No, different companies have different systems so they wouldn’t be able to see.

Hi there! This was really informative. I've heard that some ATS software use bots to scan resumes for keywords and send matching ones to recruiters. Could you please let me know if this is true? Also, does Lever have a similar feature? Thank you!

    • @samstruan

Thanks for watching. The bot is a complete myth. I’ve never seen it in any ATS. Lever does not have this feature.

@@samstruanWow, all this time I thought the ATS job filtering process was like JobScan, where it gives recruiters a rating of how well the candidate matches the job description/keywords. For example, “95%”, or “4/5 stars”. What parts of the resume helps you know if a candidate is a good fit for the role? Thank you in advance for your help! 😊

This is fantastic, but how does it work at scale? If I have thousands of applicants, can the system handle it? Are there tools that could help me review more efficiently?

Good question and thank you for checking out the video!
So far, the most effective method I’ve used is knockout questions on Lever.
It’s the only ATS (that I’ve used) that makes it quick and easy to review questions and move on when screening candidates.
      What ATS do you use?

@@samstruan I’m gonna just be honest lol.
I’m trying really hard to get an interview at Netflix, and I know they use Lever. So I’m trying to learn everything I can about their recruitment process, in the hopes that I can learn something that will help me stand out.

Is there anything you dislike about lever or would like improved?

    • @samstruan

Good question! I think Lever’s CRM capability - specifically building a list of candidates - would be a huge benefit. Currently, Ashby has the best I’ve seen for that

This system misses the basic feature of accountability and scope for innovation when rejecting. Think about it, thanks
