- I had planned this trip last autumn but then we were put back in lockdown. so we replanned for spring...and the same thing happened! Finally at the end of September it looked like I was able to go but then I forgot a vital necessity.
Join me on my eventual road trip from Positano to Lucca where I stay with my long time friend @chefceline1 and visit the lovely Marie from @authentictuscany. We also have a couple of very unexpected last minute guests that you might know!

As much as these stairs are a nuisance, they are probably the main contributing factor that you stay healthy, slim, and fit, your heart and knees will thank them in your later years .

What a beautiful city Luca is! When we were outside I imagined it to be all cramped and crowded with buildings, and it was not! Such lovely wide streets and the walkway on top of the wall is just lovely. Another great vlog from Nicki❣️

Oh I loved this video! My husband and I stayed in Casa Columba in Vicopisano in August. We'd been corresponding with Marie for over a year as we were supposed to go in 2020. Marie and Lorenzo are the best hosts and it brought back so many memories to recognize the exact places we were at. We climbed the fortress before the staircase was opened and the little cafe you stopped at during the rain was just getting ready to open when we were there. I look forward to watching you and Carlo visit later this year. Thank you Nicki for all your videos. Love your channel.

The town of lucca and village's were stunningly beautiful . the clours the gardens the scenry wow. the walled walkway where its wide and you ca walk all around the town was amazing. Thankyou nicki for taking us with you so to speak i appreciated every moment and the time you take to edit the videos.

I don't know how you do the stair climbing. Even though it is gruelling to get up and down them, your heart, lungs, and muscles are all thanking you in unison. The kind of exercise you get doing this will keep you younger decades longer, Nicki. Keep up the good work, to inspire us to get off our ourses and get moving!

This absolutely sounds crazy because I am a homeless American living in Florida but I want to move to Italy so badly. Everyone lives with such passion and Italian is such a beautiful language. I actually started learning to speak Italian through a language app. The food looks marvelous, especially the sweets. For now, I will just have to experience Italy vicariously through you and Carlo.

Hi Nicki, I've been watching your videos for a year now and I can't believe that we are going to Sorrento in a few days. It feels like I've been to the Amalfi coast already. If it wasn't for your videos showing what it's really like living there, I might not have come to this area of Italy at all. I always saw it as this super glamorous, glitzy place that I had no desire to visit. Thank you and keep making more videos!

Everywhere you go in Italy is so beautiful & your friends are too! Had first seen the vid of you & Celine at a villa where she prepared a meal for a group.
Then to see Lucca & Sara join you all was so nice too. They announced their baby Luce was on the way. She's now about 6 months old, is so smart & loves to laugh. ❤ They're such great parents with her.
Note: they just sold Luigi in recent vids.
Suggestion: Put checklist by the door for everytime you leave the house. Purse, makeup, camera, laptop, things to drop off, list of groceries needed (check fridge), etc.

I can only remember a bit of Lucca mid September, the wall and the towers we climbed up. We walked every where. We base in Firenze for a few days and did satilite day trips to Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra and many other towns on top of hills so many called Monte... It was so nice of you to share Nicki. Really enjoy your trips.
10 Oct 2014 was our last day in Itally Como and Milan before a cramped 23hr flight home not much fun with my long legs.
Isn't it fabulous you are still friends after all these years. Thank God for people who love us for no reason other than they love us💝
Yes there are tradeoffs for living in Positano but personally I think they out surpass living elsewhere. The world is so divided that if we took some of the dolce vita of most Italian life how much more content we would be. The people atmosphere food and just enjoying is wonderful. When we visited Lucca we thought it a charming city. Thanks again Nikki for another lovely adventure and sharing your friendships . When I watch your videos I feel like I too am one of the girls.
