Dude the trees command in console alone was game changing for me. With that one command Ive gone from an average 30-40 fps to 50-60. Thank you for being the one to finally give me this knowledge. 7 Days to die just became so much more playable for me. Horde nights will still be a slide show tho.. thank god for grenades.
I really appreciate you really try to offer a fix/solution. However, that doesn't take away the fact that this game has terrible optimization and should NOT be stuttering like that. And even The Fun Pimps knows that because I've told them about it. There are many games that perform 10x better running off the same engine with beefy PC specs unlike 7dtd. I sincerely hope that is not their 1.0 release because they are in serious trouble right now if that's the case.
Dedicated server runs at 20 fps internally, and also seems to render chunks closer while flying. I do notice a massive increase in FPS when using dedicated server but I've had several sever crashes that bugged my character. I would use the server option more often if a pause feature was available and it didn't crash so often.
I was trying to remove burning shaft to try and get a little bit of performance and could not do it anyway, this will be a nice alternative. Playing on a gtx 1060 😅
How do you run a dedicated server without all the hassle of renting or being on another machine? I want to just start our world on a dedicated to see if I get better performance when hosting a multiplayer with two friends. I’ve heard a lot of people saying the dedicated server has an increase in performance
It's really annoying how I have a powerful PC , and the game just decides to provide only 100/140 fps in some cases where I'm not even in a big city. The game is really unoptimized and I really hope they fix it in the upcoming "Full Release" later this month. - I want to always run at 240 fps without any drops because I have a 1440p/240Hz monitor, and let me tell you it's a BIG difference seeing less than 240 fps on my screen! Feels very laggy to my eyes. P.S: Changing my settings from Highest to Lowest does absolutely NOTHING for my FPS for some reason - which is very funny, I guess "Fun Pimps = Un-Fun Pimps."
Full release is now and game is still not optimized, runs like shit as back in A20. Back then I took the effort to go into dev mode and adjust all POIs to remove unncessary clutter and fix broken triggers. Can't bother with that this time, should be done by the company themselves. :(

What about 7th day?
th-cam.com/video/oOyUgM8d650/w-d-xo.html This should give you an idea of the performance on horde nights!
Bellwright please
Evreyone!! How have lag/ping in buildings, disable VSYNC!
Occlusion surely is the most CPU impactful setting indoors, or am I wrong?
You are correct.
You should leave it on all the time because it's free performance for no visual difference.
