I 100% understand the fatigue of non-stop stand battles, that's why I'm excited for you guys to reach part 4 which is much better paced and largely takes place in the same location rather than a global adventure.
Part 3 does suffer from villain of the week syndrome but it's necessary due to the plot. Part 4 addresses that.

@@aruhe6650 In part 4 it's not as prevalent as we have more permanent characters then fly by night villains. Only in the second half of part 4 does that become an issue but not for that long. Part 5 shows all the villains almost immediately so we know what to expect. Part 6, it's obvious we are gonna get a bunch of villains due to the environment. Part 7, is similar to part 5 and part 8 is just doing it's own thing

Yeah I really think you're gonna like how part 4 switches things up. Its my favorite animated part and it really improves on a lot of the weaknesses of part 3

Well once we get past Alessi is when we really start getting into things, first, one of my personal favorite stand “battles”, then more of a comedic duo episode, and then episode 38 when shit really gets going. Anyone whose been waiting on DIO specifically, we’re nearly there.
I am more excited for the next two reactions than I can express.
You said you could do with more downtime, then you will enjoy Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, it has a much slower pace and shows a lot more of the day to day life of stand users, it's been called the "Slice of life" part of Jojo, but it still has it's good share of battles when necessary

Yessss. Sad that you guys got spoiled a little, but yeah. Such a good goofy Joseph/Avdol episode. And Mariah's such a good villain. Her power is really cool, and she's really strong.
For all the good that came from Mariah, get ready to absolutely hate what Alessi's about. He's also very strong, but he's a weird shitty asshole.

The writing for the parts improves as they go on, with part 4 and 5 being much better than the previous ones.
I doubt they'll enjoy part 5 as much as this one though.
The first half of Part 4 is similar to Part 3, but the other half compensates it all. Imo Part 4 villain is the best (as for JoJo anime). Part 5 has amazing characters, and they are better writing than Part 4 characters. But Part 5 also has similar vibes to Part 3 as in they are constantly fighting ennemies and we know they will win. Part 5 still is my favourite part bc of Bruno. Best character.
Matthew W are you kidding. Part5 has got better pacing and encounters. Not to mention the better chemistry between the crew

yeah this part is a lot more stand of the week type stuff, but the more you watch the more it gets more in depth with characters n stuff :) part 4 is sort of slice of life & mystery and it’s my favorite part! i’m glad you’re enjoying the show though! 😼😼

I get how tiring it is that they constantly keep fighting but one thing people never seem to address or remember (I get that it's a minor detail but it explains everything) is how Dio has Jonathan's version of Hermit Purple which is far stronger. He has been tracking the Joestars down to their exact location this whole time and constantly sending assassins to delay them cause he is waiting for his neck wound to heal from taking Jonathan's body. It only makes perfect sense for them to be constantly attacked.

I won’t lie. I’ve tried and retried watching fire force (3 times now) and I cannot get past season 1 episode 6. The characters just don’t interest me. The story seems ok but maybe too slow for me? I don’t know, I keep hearing about people loving it and I’m trying to get into it but I just can’t.
Parts 1-3 are like the Star Wars prequels 😂 and parts 4-8 are like the OG trilogy 😂 if that makes sense

For real, Part 3's pacing can get kinda boring sometimes. part 4 handles it waaaay better (part 5 too)
the villain of the episode format in part 3 is really tiring, it gets way better on the next parts, but don't expect breaks, sometimes i wish we had a beach episode where everyone is just happy and it's peaceful lol
