Araki’s art style changes constantly in the manga, so David Productions imitated that by making each Anime Part’s art style look different from each other

Part 4 is personally my favorite part, because it's like a healer for the pain after watching Part 3. The atmosphere, the comedy, the friendship, those really healed the hole in my heart after the bitter ending of part 3. I bet this must be Crazy Diamond's doing.

Creator of the show Araki wanted to move on from Muscle man style and wanted to make characters look more human with bright vibrant colors hence why the designs are changed, This is a major shift from first 3 parts as Araki tried this art style first time and it succeeded.
Yep, Shigechi looks much more human than Jonathan... lol
But 80 muscle heroes are so cool.

Part 4 is where the author changed his style from the Fist of the Northstar super muscular inspired style to his now flamboyant, artsy, bright style. I think it’s a good change since it’s a style he can call his own.
I kinda wonder how parts 1-3 would look if they were in this style. I would also like to see parts 1 and 2 but with stands instead of hamon.

Throughout Jojo the writer/artist changed his art style in each part. Part 5 is where he gets his final unique style to his stories.
Part 8 is very different tho. 5, 6 and 7 do change very little.
In Jojolion, Araki embraced fashion.

@@casparfraser2336 No, the drastic change is when JoJo Part 7 went from Shonen Jump to Ultra Jump, becoming a monthly manga (before the Steel Ball Run volume 5, the manga was weekly), and having more time to draw the manga and put more details.

13:00 I wish there was more focus on Josuke's mom in the story. She comes off as so strong and cool in this episode, but she barely does anything going forward, sadly.
The colors in this part are weird, because in the original colored artwork, Araki just colored stuff weird, so it's more to match that. You get used to it after a while, the yellow sky & green streets.
And yes, while Josuke has a Stand and should be using it to protect people instead of just attacking anyone that insults his hair, you'll come to learn that Josuke is kind of like his dad. He's kind of a shitty kid who mainly uses his Stand selfishly, except for in absolutely dire situations. He's got a good heart, but he's more greedy than good (though by far not the greediest character in this Part). It's fine, though; the way this Part is laid out, he's just a character in the story about a town. I would barely call him the main character; if anything, the villain of this Part is the main character. It's really different from anything before it, which might be why I like it so much.
Welcome to JoJo in the early to mid 90's so get used to the colors and get ready for all those well worn 90's themes... but with Stands

The change in artstyle actually reflects how Hirohiko Araki, the author, changed his artstyle throughout the years... In fact, the whole initial chapters of DiU looks like the first 3 parts, but then Araki changed his artstyle to have slimmer characters later on... The anime incorporated this change by merging the two artstyles for characters that were introduced in the early parts, meaning that the buff imagery were mixed with the slim bodies, as you can see with Jotaro and Josuke, where they look like slimmer than before but they have muscles...
And back, now this where jojo really hit a upswing for me
Holly is Josuke's half sister.
The mangaka switched up his style during this part.

The art in the anime always follows araki's art style in the manga for that part and Araki's art style really evolves as the parts progresses.
Araki based Josuke's look on Prince. I think he mentioned Prince was one of his favorite artist.

At first I hated the big change from season 3 to 4 but 4 grew to be on of my favourite seasons
The way Josuke's stand works is that it can heal things by touching them. The part with the guy's nose isn't really explained much, but I think since his nose was broken he was able to rearrange the broken parts of the nose.
I always imagined it as if Josuke reverted his nose to the point in time where crazy diamond made contact with his face.

It's not a different mangaka. Araki is just perfecting his art as the series goes forward. After the success of stardust he was able to break away from the typical muscle bound shonen style of the time

I don't know if anybody said it but the reason the artstyle looks so different compared to the last 3 parts is because Araki (the writer/artist) changed his style about halfway through part 4 and when it came time to animate part 4 they went with the new style from the beginning.

Crazy Diamond can just heal an injured person or any living thing but if Josuke, decides he can make things heal up wrong like the dudes nose.
Remember when the Stardust Crusaders were facing off against that stand user at the sea bed right before reaching Egypt, and Polnareff had everyone try to distract her by complimenting her? Joseph says, of all things, "If only I were 30 years younger." Even though he slept with a woman 40 years younger 5 years prior to making that statement.

I can still feel the pain of part 3 ending I remember but the other parts have been some of my favorite part 8 is my favorite part close second to part 4
