Another thing on when Trump did separate famalies: Separations under him came up when he made an executive order to process Illegal immigrants. This required any adults to be put in jail whilst they wait trial, and because of this the kids had to be separated, because they couldn't keep them in prisons. When Trump realised kids weren't being paired with the families after trial, he removed the bill within the same year.
Wow Hannie you always drop so many things, and I'm really impressed with your research. There are two things I believe should be gleaned here. One is the misnomer that Trump stated he wasn't Christian. So? Even if he did say this, which I agree he didn't, isn't Freedom of Religion a constitutional right? George Washington was one of the few Christians among the founding fathers, but was VERY secretive about his beliefs. I feel this is crucial to understand as he did not wish his political standing to interfere with government. I actually see this reflected somewhat in Tumps demeanor. Second, the only thing the media was able to debunk was the "dog cat" statements. But have they really? I have seen plenty of citizen accounts which affirm someone local has witnessed it. When Vance brought this up initially, he stated that it needed to be confirmed and could "turn out to be a hoax." What wasn't a hoax was that Trump and Vance listened to people prior to media. It's what a representative rather than a leader is supposed to do isn't it? To be truly fair I also see some forced interpretation from the right. After listening to the declaration of Independence again the word "god" is only used once. This is immediately followed by the words "of Nature" which is how Deists describe divinity. Other references are even more vague, but often get appropriated for the "home team." This I feel is being warped by the extreme right, however I do believe the founders felt individuals' right to maintain a strong faith is a necessity, but no others' faith should be forced.
Very interesting about the religion part! What I will say about the dogs and cats is that here in south florida, things like that are happening. In January and February, 5 horses were stolen off of two ranches, butchered, and sold for meat. Feds have been dropping off migrants in rural Homestead without introducing them to American culture, and they are stealing and killing pets. Three of the horses were therapy horses. @@hannie76 Thank you Hannie! When I lived in FL in the 90's, there were similar things going on.
