Super Mario 64 B3313 v0.7 - How to Reach Lose Cap Yellow Switch

In this video I show you how to reach the Lose Cap Yellow Switch in B3313. Yes, pressing the Yellow Switch makes you lose your cap. You also randomly get 4 additional stars (not counting the one I grabbed).

Not exactly. Getting these Stars will disable other Stars with the same ID, so pressing the yellow button is technically no gain.
Collecting the corresponding Stars (or one of them for that matter) will cause the Switch to be already pressed when you reach it and also the other way around, pressing the button will make the corresponding Stars impossible to get (the two MIPS Stars and also two Toad Stars).
Basically the only thing that happens from pressing the button is that you lose your hat forever with no way to get it back, which in return, will cause you to suffer increased damage and to my knowledge you can't complete B3313 without a hat, so i guess you're basically softlocked after pressing the button. (though there is no real point in doing the 30-Star-Ending except for having done it)

@@StabYourBrain I don't think losing your hat in b3313 does anything, it doesn't increase your damage and you could still use hat powerups in 64 with a missing hat

I never even pressed this switch, I lost my hat after going to the eel graveyard for the first time, was that a glitch? Because it's annoying as hell!!

There are a few triggers that'll set the flag for the switch. They're in weird spots, and they're usually hard-to-predict.
For example, the opening door that originally led to the Princess's Secret Slide in the Vanilla Lobby will trigger the switch and cause you to lose the hat.
Personally, I think it's best to just consider it an inevitability.
