Well done Liam. Got yourself a challenge in itself here with all the subscribers wanting to give it a go!! Gonna need a fleet of 52 seater coaches lad!! Done the challenge 3 times, twice for charity and once with our walking group of 4 lads. Lads? Age range 45 - 70, and the 70 year old was second quickest, well, he was a long distance runner all his life, and has only in the last few years stopped coming on our winter walking weekends at 80 plus!! We had one of our mates as driver how carted us between mountains which made a huge difference. Started with Snowdon, 2hours 50. Then upto Scafell Pike from Wasdale, got our driver to drive all the way around the Lake District to Seathwaite, so we went straight over Scafell Pike and down the other side to Seathwaite where our mate was just pulling up as we came through the farm. Then uptp Scotland for the final push. Started the Ben at 2 in the morning, so not completely dark. Up and down in around 5 - 6 hours. All done in 23 hours, apart from the old boy who did 22 hours. Great tips mate, but keep fueling up on decent food, pasta pots, bananas, rice pots or anything that'll give you decent carbs. Leave the choccy bars for celebration at the end. Good luck all. Cheers, Ozzy.
Bit of petrol money for you Liam. Well done lad and it great to see you motivating others. I have torchured myself far too much during my life so count me out :)
Me again. Just to mention, we did it south to north so we could spend the rest of the weekend in Glen Coe, plus get on the piss in the Clachaig. Great way to finish.
Would be honoured to join yourself Liam next year, I’ve already done the three peeks solo so i know what to expect, doing it as a group would be a good laugh tho. There’s fun in numbers as they say.
Absolutely love watching you & your achievements, if I wasn't 63 I would definitely be no 1 on the list to do the 3 peaks challenge with you...if only 😢😂brilliant advice & so interesting, love ya big time ❤
hello liam, never done it before but have big aspirations of doing it and similarly want to do it next year. I would certainly be up for doing it with you given the chance!
I love your videos. I'm well up for doing N3P, definitely put my name down for it. I'm smashing out the Y3P at the moment. I'm only down the road from you as well, in Hipperholme.
Thanks for all the tips, great videos for the 3 peaks. I done scafell Pike the other day, as a complete ameture, it's so rewarding and addictive, I think its the hobby I've been looking for, and a couple of years ago attempted Snowden against all advice about weather warnings, we got caught in a hurricane with 80mph plus winds and had to abort the climb at about 75%. Going to aim for Ben Nevis for next climb, And redo Snowden, hopefully I'll get around to doing the 24hour challenge when I'm a bit more experienced
Great video Liam, I’ve done a lot of research so know quite a lot of it, but it has given me food for thought about starting in the morning 🤔 Crusty R-soles 😂
I’m definitely 100% interested in doing the national 3 peaks challenge with you/your group I’ve done all 3 separately this year, I’ve only been hiking a year done Yorkshire 3 Peaks 19 times too Mark me down as attending please Cracking video yet again 👌
Doing the three peaks challenge 9th-10th November with 15 others raising money for our mate who's been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer. Target is £30K and we're at £25K at the mo. Can't wait!
Another boss video Liam mate,I’d love to have a go of that, you’ve already inspired me out on my first wild camps,I need to get some serious training in before I even attempt it but if I’m able to I’ll have a go. Keep us informed mate
Hi Liam ..I'd love to give it a go, I did the 3 peaks in the 90's and cycled between them( not in 24 hrs😅) I'm 50 next year and think this would be a great challenge for me. Plus I can help drive in-between .... Cheers, love the channel any one who can stay in a MX 5 for 24 hours has my respect 😂 peace out brother 😊
It's probably a new tent like that one you bought on eBay. Lol , love the show and I've got a bearcat cheap but does the job, and a OEX rucksack. I think it's a 45 litre . So just a few more things to get and I'm off. Love the show and I use green back in the day. And now I'm ready for getting fit, take care of yourself and yours Alan ps didn't you stay at a campsite in France for free, so that's makes you a tight bastard lol. Keep up the great work and your getting bigger and better. 🇬🇧⛺🍻👍
Sound advice that Liam 👌💪 I an attempting it with my misses next summer. I am a green smoker and started hiking this April im 38 and I'm gutted iv only just started this. I done pen y fan horseshoe ridge, snowdon via pyg track and miners, cadir idris, tryfan and going to helvellyn next Saturday. But the three peaks challange looks a blast. 💪👌 keep up your good work mate
What would you recommend to stop muscle cramps/spasms whilst hiking? I never used to get them and now i get them every single hike for some reason. Also, I'd definitely be up for doing the 3 peaks next year!
I find your videos entertaining, you get around and make some good content. The comment about not being able to use a map and compass. The power bank solution is excellent to make sure that you have power. My worry is around what if I drop my phone. Knowing my luck, I'd drop it 50m into something nasty or on to a rock. There are loads of courses that are the cost of fuel that will remove that oh cack moment.
Ok bud looking to do these 3 monsters in 24 hours , how much training would I need , builder and lead singer in a band chasing zeros looking to get kitted up possibly next year do in June any thoughts much appreciated bud
Hey laim I'm up for doing this I'm sure I can get someone else to join us as well. Also I'd love to take my daughter (as she loves walking up the wrekin)
I’d be up for the 3 peck 100% if you’re up for letting a 57 year old tag along! Keen walker/hiker. Walked 12.5 miles yesterday in 3hours 40mins with 12.5kg backpack, done yr wyddfa last year twice 2 days apart, Ben Nevis this year and doing west highland way next June. Would definitely need a driver though as I don’t have a driving license. But I’m up for the challenge 👍🏾
Too rushed for me, I'm a bit of a dawdler on my walks 🚶♂️ ... I try and do 20km on weekend walks around Rochdale but I'm out for 10hrs with an audiobook playing lol...
LIAAAAM! I'm about to sound like your mum hahahahaha! (I'm more than old enough thanks!) Pack an emergency thermal bivvy bag for a challenge like this - it costs less than 15 quid, weighs about 100g and could literally save your life if you have an accident in shit weather like you had!). Another great video, looking forward to the next one:)
I've done the 3 peaks and unfortunately i'm not physically able to complete that challenge right now ... but i can cook (very well) i drive for a living so i aint driving. But while you idiots are going up and down the 3 peaks i'll do the 3 pubs challenge in each location.. 3 pubs/grub around each location AND i'll cook up a storm at the end of every peak for everyone so you can eat , change, kip .. cam't say anymore than that. P.s . The snap after 9 pubs at the end of Snowdon might be a bit shit .. sorry not sorry. I can chuck in some tips & tricks aswell😮 though and teach you how to map read. 👍✌️🤘
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland, the United Kingdom, and the British Isles. Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England. Snowdon is both the highest mountain in Wales and the highest in the British Isles south of the Scottish Highlands. Details 👍
