So, I already bought an original L80, and I like it enough, but if I wanted to mod my L80 to be better (I don't really care about having to remove feet or anything like that, I mod iPods regularly. Hard to get into devices are... not that bad) What should I do to my L80 to fix it? I assume Foam, and new Stabilizers. But, which stabilizers should I buy to replace the original Costar ones?

I got to say thanks for Razer, Glorious, Novelkeys, Idobao, Iqunix and other keyboard companies for finally bucking the trend and just offering what their consumers want.
@@LoverKittey razer is meh they did something last year with the huntsman te and their viper mice but nowadays they are back to their old routine
@@uiopadoihwohj2793 Still better than logitech, corsair or any other major chinese manufacturers. While Razer will not have any more of my business, for their modern software(synapse) is terrifyingly bad to the point of damaging product utility, I do respect their modern hardware and attempts to appease consumers. If I used mice still, I'd probably be using a Deathadder to this day, but I have since retrogressed into a caveman with only a keyboard and trackball.

@@uiopadoihwohj2793 If they made a mouse that fit my hand, their hyperspeed scroll wheel with toggle is the most satisfying thing to use ever. That said they are not alone in the good scroll wheel game, I think mad catz and PI/CST have both made scroll wheels that are great and other companies have started to improve.
PS I daily drove a M570 in the past and now have a LCOT as my secondary mouse.
I'm really impressed they turned around so quickly and fixed most of the issues with the originals.
just bought the original colorway and it's still got costar and north-facing led.
Honestly my favorite part of a keyboard is actually modding it because one it shows that if I really try, I can accomplish great Things! And just knowing that I made a keyboard look feel and sound good just brings me that satisfaction and happiness, and after I’m done, I can see what I did right or wrong so I can improve in the future, so while this could be a game changer because you don’t have to mod it as much, just remember, you can sometimes be happy with just doing it yourself. Have fun!

Sounds great out of the box, especially for newbs like me and my keyboards that are far below the budget.

This keyboard sounds great. Even without any mods this is one of the best stock keyboards that I have ever heard.

I honestly really wanna see it, because I love using awesome, high-quality boards but was never one for getting my hands dirty with modding and such. I just want something that’ll be great and blow me away out of the box

I’m glad they listened because I just bought this keyboard and got it delivered with TTC Gold Pink switches and I love it! I am giving this to my dad for Christmas but I want to keep it for myself 😆 I have an ergodox ez that I love for the layout and split design and I’m still tempted to switch and I’m terrible at QWERTY so that just proves how great a keyboard this is. I want to keep it for myself 😆

Wow that sounds shockingly awesome completely unmodded. Sounds like it'd be ana absolute thocc machine with just a bit of mods.
I have the L80 non rgb i absolutely adore this board my buddy bought it for me and put in Kalih Silver switches and it's my first real board. I have no mods, and it THONKS I am over the hills in love with this thing. The only thing I would change if the noise of the spacebar if I had to be picky
I was sold on this being the best prebuilt until I recently bought the Nuphy 75. I own both and feel like the Nuphy is a better value at $130 after spending over $200 on my two Iqunix boards. But you can't go wrong with this board either. I adore both.

I genuinely can't explain the joy I felt when I saw the first novelty space keys and then the purple space keys on the board, I was genuinely like :DDD!!!! I was in total child-like awe.

Always liked the sound of ttc switches. Transferred those switches from my old l80 into my gmmk 2. Not the greatest keyboard mod imo but good enough
Got this with Cherry MX Browns. I honestly cant wait! going to swap out my Keycaps for some Cool Gundam Sublimation design. Along with some Artisan Aluminum caps. Also going to grab an Aesthetic cable! I loved Red dragon Keyboards but its time i step it up! lol.
Browns are awful
For me the Mountain Everest 60 is the best prebuilt, it has factory lured switches, genuine cherry stabs, clipped and lubed btw, extremely customizable rgb, magnetic height adjustment, choice in keycaps, I.e color sets (like matrix keyboards) and it feels and sounds amazing, nice clipped and lubed non rattly stabs, great switches, it's hotswappable, it is just great in every aspect for me.
Looks like a perfect keyboard for Endevour or Pop OS
Id say its a bit more retro than futuristic, maybe to refer to apollo or some of the other 20th century space related projects, I have no idea what the lime is about though, maybe thats the keyboards personal name? Oh and one more thing id like to add, space man hipyo
tbh, i found the sound to be a little thuddy and the case to be a little tall but love the keyboard

Honestly don’t understand the complaint about rubber feet over the screw holes. Doesn’t take but two seconds to removed and access the screws. It’s nice aesthetically that the screw holes are covered. And if the adhesive rubber feet are annoying to remove then install rubber gromit feet that fit into the screw holes.

Recently got found this channel and been thinking about building my own keyboard. I know there is a lot of parts that are involved into building one and was wondering if there is a single online store that is used for all the parts I would need or would I need to use multiple stores and any recommendations. I would prefer linear switches like Cherry Reds (as those are the only ones I have experience with) since I don't like the sound of clicky switches
You would probably need to buy from different online stores but a great budget switch is gateron yellow’s or akko cs switches.

I quite like the design and idea of this board, but for me it is a 129$ board at best, instead it's 200$ including shipping, which is just not worth it I feel. for 200$ they really could have made either the top or bottom out of aluminium or something.
I agreed but at the same time, they're trying to earn money too. So adding more to it would make everything goes up. I know that plastic in general cost a lot. Not sure about aluminium.
aluminium is so overused i’m starting to prefer the ABS plastic casing aesthetic. it also sounds better imho

I looked into this keyboard but the price is really high and i wasn't sure about this form factor. keyboard is chonky. I'm a network technician and needed something more compact to fit in my bag.

My work daily driver right now is the royal Kludge g68 it is amazing for how inexpensive it is! as a programmer/network technician i absolutely have to have the arrow keys and a hard DEL key. I'm actually liking the gateron switches but it is hotswap and i might experiment with other switches in the future.
@@BassRacerx I just use a seperate macropad for arrow keys and a few other keys and macros. but that setup might be a little unhandy to move around a lot
