You folks have an awesome farm!!! The dairy industry and all consumers such as my family are very lucky to have you!!!! Thank you for all the hard work!!
As a former dairy farmer. I really enjoy watching your videos. I am amazed at how fast you are able to get all of the hay raked together and chopped up and blown into your silos. Back in my day we just had the smaller pull type forage choppers that simply did not have the capacity to move fast. Seemed like we were never quite able to get finished chopping before the rains came. I jus wanted to let you know that I appreciate all of the hard work you and your family put into your farm. And I am so glad you have your silos full, what a nice blessing. And a peaceful feeling for you all to know that your cows have plenty of feed now. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
One of the best videos yet, Eric. Your dad is a great guy, and while I’ll likely never meet him, he is someone I like a lot. And you guys are blessed with the extra feed while so many out west are really struggling with keeping their herds alive. Finally, the video revenue is surely helping to make much-needed upgrades to the farm, even as simple as new tires when you need them. Nice job in helping the family farm grow.
It's always good to have more crops than you know what to do with than not enough. Eric you may consider getting LEDs on that raking tractor. I noticed how dim the lights were.
I loved the hammer toss!! I respect how you and your dad are so calm. When that new tire went flat I may have been a tad bit frustrated. Up and down those silos must be a workout in itself. Prob helps with your basket ball jumps
Hello Eric, what a good video of daily work that is always changing all in one day. I felt bad seeing you after the silo event. Sweat equity +++ .I admire your strong work ethic and daily effort to do the work required. I alway look forward to getting your updates. Please be safe and take care of your self. PS. your summer tan looks great on you. Tom in Minneapolis.
“Land of opportunity.” Great statement. I didn’t realize how hot & dusty the cement silos are. When I was a kid the neighbour had a 35’ wood silo & it didn’t have a roof. It was a heck of a job forking silage down to the cows in the wintertime. Lol Take care & stay safe. Cheers
Glad you’re able to fill your silos. Iowa’s been split in the middle. Upper half is drought (just like the rest of the Midwest) and the lower part where we are we have too much rain. Thank you Eric for all you do.
Oh my, what a terrible hot work space in the concrete silo!! Double pay, right🤣. What a great space it will be when all the crushed concrete is spread out. Sure hope that you did not get too much rain from the remains of “Ida”. Thank you Eric for another awesome video. I do agree, the view from the top of the silos is simply beautiful.
I think it's time for a shower, Eric. I happy to see the amount of feed you have stored this year. So many western state farmers are hurting for feed with the drought, at least some eastern state farmers have an abundance. Mother nature is a fickle lady.
Appreciate the Doc Halliday t-shirt your Dad had on. Great pitcher that exemplified perseverance on a marginal Jays team. Hated to see him leave but thrilled to see his ability be recognized with the Phillies - "RIP Doc". Eric, I truly appreciate yours and your fathers perseverance and dedication in all you do.....thanks!
I am glad you are getting the cow chow, Ive leveled out silos in the summer, also baled hay, I was always the guy in the barn next to the roof getting that last bale in, its tough!
Amazing how much work you and dad do in a day . Nice to see maintenance kept up on 4240. While down for tires and oil, might be good to check front wheel bearings . They always seem to sneak up on you . Great job !!Hay and silage work is really dirty .
After seeing you from being inside that silo all sweaty and covered I won't complain so much when I mow and weed whack my yard. A useful tip. When oiling chains use a turkey baster. You're able to pinpoint where to apply the oil. Great video as always.
Can't wait to see you guys hit 500k. Eric I have few questions what's the purpose of the crops being planted in those sweeping angled rows? Why not straight rows & why does most chopping & silo filling happen in evening/ night?
Great job, nice to see the concrete getting used. Will look nice and clean. Good to see Eric and Dad working so well together. Greetings from Australia
There is nothing better than when you finish all the work on the farm, come home take a bath, lie back in the armchair and watch Eric. Greetings from Serbia! ;)
a warm bath after work is always nice and it's also nice in the morning as a comfortable wake up call like just stand in the shower for a bit while waking up is nice
Another great video Eric. I know I've said it before, but it gives me great pleasure to watch you working with your Dad, and your work ethic is beyond excellent!
Really enjoyed the video .. thank you ... the videos from on top of the silo were awesome ... if it could be done with better lighting would love to see the the machinery at the top of the silo ... 👍👍
Have not seen your wife and child lately. Hope they are doing well. Good hammer throwing there Eric. Going into the silo sure did not look like fun. As always it is fun to watch you work o the farm. Thanks for sharing it with us. Till next time, peace.

You certainly had a good problem with all that feed. Many farmers are struggling in Midwest due to drought. Thanks for the videos.
Michigan has been flooded all summer. We're the lucky part of the Midwest
It is always a good video when Eric breaks out the Holly Jolly oil mug.
Kevin F Does he wash it out and drink Milk out of it?
@@justwondering5540 Rum and Eggnog. Only on Christmas day though.
Yeah. That cracks me up. Best not mistake that for hot chocolate.
lol
The farm is looking great. The videos have been great, thanks Eric

I see you from a small farm in Galicia (Spain). Thanks for sharing!
We had a 32’ Harvestore for high moisture corn, a 60’ Harvestore, and a 70’ cement stave silo on the Iowa farm I grew up on.
It's always good to have more crops than you know what to do with than not enough. Eric you may consider getting LEDs on that raking tractor. I noticed how dim the lights were.
Nailed it! Ha, ha. Two things I love though: the view from the top of the silo and the choppers working. Great video.
Nailed it lol
Thank goodness silos came and went in my country. There’s still a few around but it’s mostly silage bags.
I loved the hammer toss!! I respect how you and your dad are so calm. When that new tire went flat I may have been a tad bit frustrated. Up and down those silos must be a workout in itself. Prob helps with your basket ball jumps

Lots of good feed put up for the next year. It feels good that you had good crops this year and still lots of corn to cut yet.
amazing.. I would be so claustrophobic in there. good job. love the footage of the working of the silo..
Beautiful farm. Really enjoy watching your farm.
Glad you got that in the silos before the rains Ida brought to your area, we got 3” and still counting .
Thank you for sharing, lots of hard work but you make it look easy. The place is really looking good.

Feeding your beautiful cows is serious work!
Thanks for sharing this video with me.

Great video eric, love the view of the farm from atop the silo, thanks for being a farmer

You are doing a great job on the farm.I like the way you guys are keeping it looking nice says a lot for your farm!👍👍👌🇺🇲
Thanks for another great video! Appreciate all the time you put into your videos to share your work. 😊
Thank you for what you show us, how do that pick up the hay and put in them carts, and glad to see everything coming to getter for the farm

I always like to watch your farm videos - they are very varied and informative. You are doing a good job 👍👍
Yes, awesome view from the top of the silo!!

They chop at night so the leaves on the alfalfa don't fall off
@@sergiomarin1793 thanks for info
Hardest working tractor on the farm gets new shoes and some liquid love.
Seems like the wheel rake is a longer lasting design. Thanks for sharing.
You handle each situation with a godly, hardworking spirit. Bless you!
Great job, nice to see the concrete getting used. Will look nice and clean. Good to see Eric and Dad working so well together. Greetings from Australia
Love that your dad was rocking the Holiday t shirt!
your farm is my favourite Dairy Farm on youtube.Congrats Eric and all the hardwork you put into it.
Eric, you and your dad are a great team. I always look forward to a new video. Great job and God bless.
I liked the last video recap in the beginning you should do that every video !
I like the videos where you work on the tractors and farming equipment. Good job.
And a power wash is also needed on the tracktors, with a degreaser

do not forget to light up a Marlboro and have a few good smokes.
@@equallywrong Marlboro killed my father, at least the lung cancer from them did!
Nah i dont smoke , i can only drink beer my friend ;)
It’s great seeing your family farm do well. The videos are excellent!
We use a rotary rake with 4 segments. It works 15 meters wide and produces wonderful swaths for the chopper
awesome crew,awesome setup
Great video Eric, loved the view of the farm from the top of the silo.
I know all about filling those stave silos and coming out looking like the Jolly Green Giant. Great video. Now, go hit the showers😉
Beautiful!
Hope you faired well in the rain.
Where the old heifer barn was you should build a shed for the straw and hay bales before you chop them and always have stock in case prices go up
Looking forward to seeing what you do with your 'land of opportunity'
Glad you got your hay made before Ida hit. Thanks for the video.
Don't forget the plate on the green machine monster...! 😊
Thanks for another great video Eric.👍 the harvesting crew looks familiar do you know if they are out Quarryville Pa?
Eric you are so valuable to the farm,,jack of all trades, and daring...we learn so much ....you and your dad work so good together,,,God bless you...
As always from one project to the next on a dairy farm ( lots of hard work)
Another great video Eric. I know I've said it before, but it gives me great pleasure to watch you working with your Dad, and your work ethic is beyond excellent!
It takes a lot of strength and energy to climb a silo. I don't know how you do it three or four times in a day
You’re such a hard worker!! Love it!
Awesome operation!
"Nailed it" 😎😎
Glad yall take such good care of that old tractor. It will last another 50 years with good care like yall do
Good show! God Bless!
I can’t wait for corn silage videos looks about ready
Eric I have watched you for some time. You folks sure go though the tires! Did you get the cow pencil toppers?
Great video Eric. How many tons of feed do you think is in each silo? How long will that feed last?
Went in the top unloading silo normal. Came out a sweating grass monster lol. Amazing video and very nice to learn about these silos.
Hello Eric hope all is well with you and your family! Always wishing only the best for you.
Really enjoyed the video .. thank you ... the videos from on top of the silo were awesome ... if it could be done with better lighting would love to see the the machinery at the top of the silo ... 👍👍
Can't get enough of ur videos u do a great job
Megkérdezhetem hogy mennyi méte magas a siló ? Mert nagyon nagy?
Am incredibly impressed at the work that you all do in a day. Great work ethic, well done
The finest oil cup I've ever seen. Lol. God Bless
One of the joys climbing the silo just to see the view
I love watching your videos you do a great job and a lot of work
I truly enjoy your video s. I grew up working on farms this size
You are by far the most hard working guy I've ever seen on TH-cam. 🇬🇧 👍
Awesome video. Very interesting Eric. Thank you so much
The farm is looking good
Was totally expecting to see a Mountain Dew inside the tractor when you when to spray it out. 😂
I sure don't miss going up silos in the summer. Come to think of it i don't miss it any time of year.
Hi! Why you don't store hay in bunker? Just like mais ensilage? Thx for sharing!
Have you ever talked about selling the milk? And the process of the sell?
I would have some actual lighting up on top of silos. U guys are up there in the dark few times would make it some much easier and safer
“Land of opportunity” lol 👍🏻
Wow that’s a lot of work glad you share this
6:00 I bet that first whiff of air out of that silo is lovely ;)
Good video nice View from top of silo I use to love it on top of the silo you sure get a work out going up and down
Awesome video Eric keep them coming and thanks for all you and your family so for us god bless
What are the air bags you mentioned that you were pulling on in the silo? Thanks for sharing.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🐄 Man!!!
LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS ERIC
Great video...greetings from Texas!
Are you getting any storms in Texas
@@TheFarmingLife No storms here in North Texas...dry and hot!
Wow that was brutal for you !! Ug!! I do love the view from the top of the silo also just beautiful 😍
When I need motivation, I watch your videos. Inspires me to get off my ass and
get some work done.
When you rake with dew...does it make better yield does or is there a loss? Californian asking. The only thing I take is sand.
Ah, reminds me of my earlier life growing up on a dairy. It's no fun up in those concrete silos, dark and dangerous.
Have not seen your wife and child lately. Hope they are doing well. Good hammer throwing there Eric. Going into the silo sure did not look like fun. As always it is fun to watch you work o the farm. Thanks for sharing it with us. Till next time, peace.
