    For the Q & A, what is the family history of the farm? Eric, if you didn't go into farming, what career would you have chosen? Eric, did your Dad want you to continue in the family business of farming? Or did he want you to do something else? Eric, how long have you been married? How many employees does the farm have?
    Thank you for another great video! Please keep them coming!!

    • @kingcountyband
      @kingcountyband 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlazeDuskdreamer I don't know if it's lost in translation or just uninformed or maybe even just clueless, but to think that because a farmer has irrigation that they sit around all day is beyond funny/ridiculous etc. I always tell my son driving past farms in the winter that those farmers might not be out in the fields but that they are repairing equipment and preparing for spring etc they might get a bit of a break from the insane spring/summer/fall hours (thank god) but they don't take winters off. Instead of binge watching he could shadow a farmer for a week, he probably wouldn't last even just watching though ;)

Can you talk a little about that and how they are so calm? Do they always return to the same stall? 3) Is each cow milked twice a day or once? 4) What changes would you like to implement on the dairy farm? Any wish list for the future? Or...maybe everything is running just fine. 5) How many in your family (brothers? sisters?)....and do they all participate in farming with you? 6) Last one is not a question....I just want to tell you, as I usually do in almost every video...LOL, that you are an amazing and hard-working young man! Hey man, I'm from Brampton, Ontario. Just recently started watching your videos. I like to see how hard you work and how much pride of ownership you have for your equipment. I.e Pre trips, checking fluids, maintenance, etc. I work in the waste industry driving garbage trucks working residentially and I must say I feel like my job is physically laboring. But once I saw the amount of time and effort that goes into maintaing a farm. I swear, I have a new level of respect for you. It's not only a lot of math that you do on a daily basis, but also constantly operating heavy equipment and having to be precise at all times makes it a mentally and physically draining job. Brother, im not sure how old you are but you look young. Big shoutout to you and your father and everyone who helps. I know it's not an easy job. Thanks for the awesome uploads. It motivates me to work hard just like a lot of people out there. Stay safe man.

      In the last few years, after accounting for reinvestment into the business and the value of their time and management, a lot of farmers lose money per cow per year, but they underestimate their time and therefore the farm can still cash flow until the next profitable year

      I such a large farm doesn't have a large farm is Farms are more rented out her mother Farmers that they rent they don't have a large farm you may think they do but it's actually quite small and come up with all that time it's kind of easy you only work in the field so much in the spring and fall and you just got a water if you have irrigation or fertilize them but otherwise they pretty much don't touch their fields except for when they get up Pickett it.
