"im too lazy to take my makeup off!" girl it took you 3 HOURS to apply your makeup but ok. honestly taking off makeup after a night or event is the best feeling my skin feels light and i literally feel my pores being able to BREATHE! its the most satisfying feeling i love removing makeup
Most people are tired at the end of the day, and usually if someone is wearing makeup they've been out doing something, whether that's work or a special event. So it's pretty easy to come home and say "eh, I'm too tired to take my makeup off" even though it's bad for you

I never knew that NOT double cleansing was a possibility 😅 I never considered my makeup remover as a cleanser. It’s a makeup remover. It removes makeup. A cleanser cleanses. 😂
I'm gonna be honest,I dont understand what Hyram means by 'double cleanse'. I'm almost definitely overthinking it but is it the same product twice, two different products for the same issues, two products with different textures? Please help.
Products made from real ingredients will have that fragrance obviously so saying it’s unnecessary is weird. Maybe saying “added or artificial fragrance is unnecessary “ 🤷🏻♀️
OMG! I bought my mom a Tatcha tester kit and asked her how she liked it after a couple of days. She complained that it was too heavy and her face felt greasy. GIRL! Come to find out she was just using the oil, rinsing that off, then putting the moisturizer on! Thankfully, I caught her after only a couple of uses and she's on the dry side. She's loving it much more now that she's using the WHOLE kit like it says on the instructions. (She never turned the card over and thought it was just a list of ingredients. SMDH
Oof. Your skins probably mad your going at it like that. Give it a break every once in awhile. You don't need chemicals on it all the time. Let it breath girl. :)
I am the same exact way. Let your skin breathe! I'm very sensitive to moisturizers but Equate acne moisturizer actually helps me most! Used to get bad cystic acne, now I still kinda get acne but it's only topical. I'm not the skin specialist here but that's what I do for my sensitive skin!!
I was the same way. Nothing worked. I would let my skin breathe and did minimal skin care, or no skin care. Nothing even made a difference. The ONLY thing that changed my skin was topical steroid cream. Completely killed my acne, changed the texture of my skin completely. And has started healing my hyperpigmentation. I have eczema and I had dry face skin with tons of acne. I thought once that the dryness on my face might be eczema. I used my normal steroid body cream on my face and it has changed my life.
Serums are more so for mature skin. And if you have bad acne and oily skin I suggest a gel cleanser. But yeah you're doing too much Hun. Give your skin a break. Also good on you for using sunscreen daily!
tanya I do that too but idk if i should really change what I do, I don’t break out really and my skin is clear other than some pimples and stuff on my forehead and occasionally on the apples of my cheeks...
tanya thats actually good. the less products is better. trust me, the more products you use, the more harm itll cause your skin like irritation and redness, which is Nikkie’s problem- she uses WAY too many products. i use only 3 products and its done a huge difference compared to me when i used like 6 products.
So I found this channel a few days ago and love it. I love how honest Hyram is and how he talks about his experience own experience and research while being mindful to others. I’ve gotten so much information and learned so much from this. I even ordered some new products (CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser, The ordinary niacinamide serum for the mornings and The Ordinary ascorbic acid serum for evening skin care.) I found my skin type which was different from what I thought and all of this has helped me soooo much!!! Thanks, Hyram
I suggest using CeraVE, Its perfect for sensitive skin. I use their Daily facial cleanser, nighttime lotion and daily moisturizer. All of it together is like 20$
Check out Dr. Dray, a dermatologist here on TH-cam. Some of her videos aren't that "watchable" per say, but she is my #1 source for no nonsense skincare education and recommendations. She has a ton of videos on the basic products that will get the job done for your skin, as shown by research. And they're generally very affordable.

What many people don’t understand about oils and petroleum products is that it isn’t a moisturizer, it’s a sealant meant to hold in moisture and block outside sources of moisture. If you use coconut oil on your face without some moisture, it’s just going to hold in the dryness in you skin, and not allow moisture to penetrate. That’s why if you are going to use something like Vaseline or an oil or grease even on your hair, you need to do it right after a shower while the skin/hair has moisture in it, or you need to apply a moisturizer first, then apply the sealant. Oils and greases aren’t moisturizers, they are sealants.
It is a moisturizer. There are 3 kind of moisturizers; humectan, occlusive, and emolient moisturizer. Petrolatum or vaseline is considered an occlusive moisturizer. While it's true they don't necessarily add much water content directly to skin but they help to reduce or decrease TEWLS. TEWLS is transepidermal water loss; it's a constant loss of water from our skin to the environment (think of it like an evaporation). For some condition, like eczema which has increased TEWLS compared to normal skin, ezcematous skin is so dry and adding occlusive moisturizer like petrolatum could be beneficial keeping the skin moist and less dry. Hence, petrolatum is considered to be a moisturizer. Eventho most good/great moisturizers in the market are a combination of different types of moisturizers, using petrolatum alone as moisturizer is acceptable in some cases. How and when to apply them is something the patient should pay attention to in order to get most of the benefits
Adi Satriyo I want you to look up petroleum and tell me what it says. It clearly says a barrier that sits in skin to prevent moisture from leaving. I knew this prior to the search, but just to show you that a simple search can help you out before you speak. Petroleum and oils aren’t meant to moisturize.
I don't know how the actual product looks.. but it also looks like she's rubbing... Nothing? on her skin when she uses these products, and she has affiliate links to these products? SUS
when finals ended at school and break started, my pimples went away. so it’s safe to say that school is toxic and therefore we shouldn’t be forced to go there because it is child abuse. and that. that’s on period. pHOO.
Hi there, Just because something is difficult doesn't make it child abuse. It's important to learn to persevere through challenges. There's lots of things in life that benefit us that cause stress. Don't give up. I say this as a married mom long done with school, and I (very unfortunately) grew up with a poor work ethic. It's much harder to learn the skill of perseverance after a lifetime of bad habits (entitlement, desiring ease of comfort, procrastination, etc.), so don't let those take root. I'm having to learn responsibility in the thick of some significant stressors (marriage, parenting, paying down debt, etc.), and it's definitely more challenging this way. Learn to persevere and not be afraid of hard work... Lay that foundation now and you'll be more prepared for whatever your future holds. Just wanted to encourage you. 😊

I am SHOCKED to learn that Nikkie has dry skin, given how much powder she uses in her makeup routines. I have very dry skin, and if I use anything more than a teaspoon of powder on my face, I turn into a cakey Sahara desert.
I know. That's probably why she's so dry.
A teaspoon??? Holy shit. A teaspoon is soooooo much wtf? That will last you at least two weeks

Most people are tired at the end of the day, and usually if someone is wearing makeup they've been out doing something, whether that's work or a special event. So it's pretty easy to come home and say "eh, I'm too tired to take my makeup off" even though it's bad for you

Also good on you for using sunscreen daily!
you sir would not support my simple two step skin care routine...

Oils and greases aren’t moisturizers, they are sealants.
this was very informative thank you
Thank you I am now wiser because of this comment.
Nah. It didn't work in our sink

Angelique Valadez it’s not child abuse... that’s a bit drastic.
SAMEEEE!!! no sleep, no stress, no pimples!
Angelique Valadez sane thing happens to me! Lmao
Same, haha. Conclusion: College is killing me.
Hi there,
Just because something is difficult doesn't make it child abuse. 😊
