God, just imagine : there are almost 8 billion people on earth. If an enemy such as the Goa'uld where to make an all out attack, all it would take would be 10K humans with armbands to wreck their entire universe.
@@dariustiapula More than a little while. 8 Billion people divided by 10K makes earth capable of fielding 800,000 armies of 10,000 armband warriors before the population was completely immune to the effects of the armbands. By that time we would probably would have a completely new generation or two of humans who can take up the cause. However I dare say it would never come close to needing a 2nd gen of humans, or even a second wave of the 1st generation.
I thought the most interesting effect of the bands where their intoxicating and aggressive attributes. Imagine a less morally and ethical person (thug) with the bands. The biggest advantage SG-1 had were their strategic and tactical way of thinking. With the bands, that advantage disappear. That is why Teal'c last minute rescue prevented total disaster.
I've always loved this episode, and the armbands, but am I the only one who looks at them and go, that looks a heck of a lot like the Skrill from Earth Finial Conflict... >_>
