I'm pretty sure cats see a completely different reality than we do. That's why the do things that seem insane sometimes. Maybe a link their cousins the the cait sith.
I’m all abt “listening” to my pets. So if they’re clearly upset or scared of something I can’t see then it’s time for me to leave. I’ve even passed on a home bc when I took my cat, it was very obvi that he wasn’t comfortable with the place
This story is one I enjoy and if it wasn't for the dog they wouldn't have known that something was wrong and always good job on the narration. Keep the good work up
The main character: "Me and my wife like cemeteries." Me looking at the two cemeteries I have tattooed on my arms: "I guess we have something in common" LOL
I really hope that my dog can't see ghosts, because that will be one more thing that he will bark at, amongst the many other things on his list. Cats can all see the dead, as they are the guardians of the underworld in Egyptian mythology, but they won't tell you, because they can't be bothered to.
Hey LH🤗,Hope your doing good,Really enjoyed this story Lol but u got me second guessing as I live a few minutes walk from a cemetery!😬😳......Fab narrating as always🥰
Maybe THAT is the reason she came after them. She was none too happy they never asked permission to take the pic. They could have introduced themselves. Then ask PERMISSION for a picture. NO MANNERS!😑
Lol. He also saw an old woman when he turned out the light and just went to bed. I think the author has potential, but in addition to the plot holes, they pretty much stole entire chunks of this story from poltergeist.
I don't explore them but I live near what I call the mystery cemetery. It in the middle of a patch of woods across the road from another newer cemetery. The new one is connected to a nearby church but the old one in the woods is not connected to any church and is decades older than anything else on the road(including the church). Heck over half the markers are missing and trees are growing from some of the graves. It was only about 10 years ago a group of people went through marking the location of graves. But the thing is who made the cemetery has been forgotten. Maybe my grandparents or great grandparents knew but no one around now really knows how or why there is a cemetery there and no one is related to anyone in those graves.(Or at least no local families are related to any grave that has a headstone)
I get the meaning though. Modern tombstones are made of artificial stone. Kinda like a type of brick. Older tombstones were often marble (not granite) as well.
So it's a bit more complicated than that. Columbus arrived in central America in 1492, but other explorers had been to north and south America before that. But the main thing to understand is that people LIVED throughout the area long before Columbus or any other European came over. However, they had their own burial rituals, and as far as I know, they didn't include carving head stones with names and dates. I believe that is a European thing that has become common here as Europeans immigrated over. I actually came to the comments to see if anyone else was like, "wait a minute..." Like who's carving headstones in the 1400's in the states? Of course, I listened again, and I didn't catch where the story takes place
@@angryemployee Thanks for the great response! I had no idea that other explorers had been to north and South America before Columbus. Quite an interesting bit about the burial rituals too 👍

Wow honey, did you say a headstone from 1432? Predating both Columbus landing in the New World and the actual Renaissance? In a cemetery named after a very obviously English person? Good thing we're not into history or we might find that a trifle odd!
It's actually not impossible. Some very wealthy early settlers moved their families graves from Europe to the US. However there aren't many places you will find tombstones like that and those families also usually had their own graveyards.
The characters were idiots in this story, but glad they learned from their mistake. Good boy, Gremlin. My mom is having some issues at her own home. The list is long, but all of her pets staring and growling at empty spots, even appearing to watch something go up the wall, is among the list. Not to mention her health started failing when she moved in, and the numerous electrical failures, strange odors and swarms of bugs invading. (Plus a lot of other issues she's described.) That house has always been off, but I've never seen it get this bad. I'm trying to convince her to move.
Excellent! And yes it is true that animals can see spirits before people. Anyone ever have a cat that stares up into the corner of the bedroom ceiling? Sometimes I wonder if they do that just to freak us out lol. But I've walked my dogs and cemeteries and there are places they have avoided They will drag me away to avoid a row of headstones, so who knows. Thoroughly enjoyed this story Thank you so much.

Excellent work, as always. On a side note, I do historical research and spend a considerable amount of time in cemeteries. I won’t come out and say that I believe in the paranormal but I’ve had experiences that I’ve been unable to explain including one with my dog. I’ve never been frightened, just confused. I don't believe in ghosts but before they even got home, right as Gremlin started freaking out over the cemetery that shouldn't be there I'd have already decided "yep, that's ghosts" and kept driving.
It was denial. It's a hell of a drug when you see something impossible.
Demonic ghost scratches “get out” on the wall and hurls knives across the room... oh it’s just the wind, I’m sure.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.🤣🤣🤣
Yep. And has anyone ever knocked over a chair and NOT had it fall into a pyramid with every other chair in the room, a la original Poltergeist? 😉
it's because of the shock. Some people's brains try to come up with reasonable explanations to things they don't understand.
Those dang blasted trucks again.
Nothing like denial !
Hardest part to believe in this story is the landlord being cool with them breaking contract and wishing them well.
This guy is obviously a Skyrim NPC. "Who's there!?......must have been the wind"

Really enjoyed this one, even with a character who tried convince himself that passing trucks ripped out a lighting fixture! 😉

I've seen a tombstone from the 1400's, but in the UK that's not uncommon, in the USA however... 🧐
