The "Chesterfield" always makes me laugh as I sit on the "Davenport".
What is a Chesterfield? What is a Davenport?
Hahahaha,,, yep.
The “Davenport”
Haha it’s like calling a tissue a Kleenex or a soda Coke. But Chesterfield is a British thing whereas Davenport is an American thing. Both another word for the sofa.
They are fancy couches.
Gentleman’s sofas
Congrats to Sepp Kuss for the KOM overall win.
👊🦋
Chris you know we are Marc’s biggest fans. Great to see him work so well today. Love your title!!!
Any rider that I can talk about as much as Soler has to be fan favorite. 😂🦋👊💪
@@ChrisHornerCycling No "solerism" today
One of the BEST days of racing I ever remember watching!! It was just awesome!
🔥🦋👊
"Then you see a bunch of meaningless attacks that didn't make any sense" quote of the day Horner!
Keep it short bet still accurate. 😂😂😂😂🦋👊
I love listening to Chris but my wife is concerned that he has never taken a breath! No wonder he was such a good climber!
Less time breathing means more time educating KNUCKLEHEADS
Chris talks as fast as he pedals. 😊
😂🦋👊🗻
Zone 2 for Chris.
Soler (ism) man of the match! 👍
He is sooo entertaining 🔥🦋👊
What a stage from Soler and Arrieta. Impressive
💪🦋👊
@@ChrisHornerCycling Arrieta, Chris, is just 21 years old. Have chances to go Giro d'Italia, for replace Vine
UAE has worked smart and communicated perfectly. Hats off!
Congrats to Juan Ayuso!
Another ( different) chapter of Solarism. He's riding well.
True that 💪🦋👊🔥
That was one great final stage. What a great day of racing! The ladies' Paris-Roubaix race was also outstanding with a 6 rider sprint. Well, 0205 wake-up call for me. So enjoy Paris-Roubaix Chris. 🤜🤛👍 Oh, and their was no Solarizum today. Also, he rode great.
Good night Slayer. See ya tomorrow. 👊🦋💪💤
Yeah bonkers! RR World Champion vs RR World Champion vs RR World Champion vs TT World Champion and one other gal..now *that's* a hellofa battle!
Such a pleasure to hear your breakdown. The commentators covering the race today were total clowns.
I'm not that savvy with strategy so I just sort of accepted that Skjelmose had to bring Soler within 44 seconds like the commentators were saying- I guess he could have reeled those 20 seconds if he stayed put. Anyway, it was an exciting last hour.
The commentators kept panicking all the time. At one moment they seemed very worried about Brandon Rivera from Ineos was in the break. Then surprised that Bora were chasing. How did they not see that Bora would chase. 🤷🏼♂️🦋🤔👊
I'll second that!
I'm back to this one after watching Soler win his Vuelta stage today. While waiting for your video on the stage to come out.
We just have to give Soler a treat, he did behave himself on that stage.
Good boy!;)
The Solerism on flying form here~and applying the coup de grace at the finish line too!!!🔥 Felt a bit sorry for Skjelmose, tho~🙄
Thanks Chris. Another awesome analysis and insights.
👊🦋
What a stage- pure racing. What a ride from Soler and chapeau to Rodriguez for catapulting up GC.
That was fun watching Carlos go from front to back only to go back up front again. 🤪🦋👊💪
@@ChrisHornerCycling I really like his all or nothing approach. Did something similar at the Tour of Britain last year
UAE strategy was pretty clear when Soler went ahead. It was exciting to watch it unfold in perfection especially with Carlos and Ayuso working together.
But still it’s always fun to hear Chris explain it with such lucidity! Thanks for the clear explanations of biking strategy!
👊🦋
Yessir, all the teams are working smart!
You said ineos needed a plan urgently , this might not be part of a plan but what a ride by Rodriguez
That was a fun stage to watch you nailed it again
👊🦋🙏
Solerism effect!!!😂😂 Soler is cappable of the best and the worst😂😂 good job today👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦
I love when he’s at the races. Always entertaining. 🇪🇸👊👊👊👊💪🦋
Great coverage Chris, great to see the race so wide open!
Soler for stage MVP. Carlos Rodríguez here.
Beautiful analysis of the stage ❤
👊🦋🙏
Congrats to Rodriguez.
Thanks, dude!
👊🦋
Really like your content Mr Horner enjoy the insights and the tactics explained. I have to laugh tonight as you usually just Roast Soler he did get it right today I think there is a first time for everything haha. Thanks for the great channel
Soler ism was no where to be seen today. Just soler going big! 🔥🔥🔥🤪🦋👊
Today, Solerism was like, we're not gonna take it, no, we ain't gonna take it anymore. 🤣
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸👊🦋
Thanks for the recap Chris!
BTW - A few of us are noticing that you are no longer calling out "Knucklehead". :) Is this a new season resolution or did you lose a bet to someone. haha
Brilliant !
What a stage 🔥🔥🔥👊🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
It's sometimes difficult to figure out if Marc is doing a Solerism or being the ultimate team man. Today, for a while, it looked like the former, but then he changed tack and helped Ayuso shake off Skjelmose. About 10 months ago, he was responsible for shepherding Pogacar on the Col de Loze stage of the TdF to ensure that he kept his podium place. Of course, today all the UAE riders put in.a really strong performance.
Yep. Good team work out there 👊🦋💪
He is UAE teams van Aert ...a powerfull towing locomotive.
Ty Chris! Itzulia = broken collarbones 😢
Fortunately good race, for the cyclist remained. 👏👏👏
There was hard crashes and more top riders going down I think then in any other race. But wow was today a good stage.❤️🦋👊🔥
@@ChrisHornerCycling Yesss indeed! And are you are the best explaining the race! We always are waiting for your video to understand Your analysis !! Grazie!!🤩🤩🤩
Chris - Who are your top 5 riders on the Butterfly effect now? Please can you do this as part of your Paris Roubaix review video?
This week I will shoot for that update. But the crashes have made all my picks questionable now. I so wanted to see Remco race because he looked really good. 🥲🤔🦋👍
Wait.. no Solerism? Soler was strong, smart AND a team player?
Entire UAE team = MAGIC today.!!!! FOUR in the TOP TEN .. GC .. FOUR in the TOP TEN in today's race....
💪🦋👊
Carlos Rodriguez vs Bernal, who will be the ineos leader in the Tour
4th
The Solerism and UAE did a great job today. I was sweating it a bit. Rodriguez needs to thank the Solerism for his 2nd overall as well.
Carlos was working with skjel, then with Ayuso, then with Skjel, then finally with Ayuso again and hoping Soler would sprint Skjelmose for time bonuses. 🤪🦋👊👊👊👊
@@ChrisHornerCycling Carlos played the game to his advantage as much as possible.
Another great recap Mr Horner!! Just curious is it typical for the Basque Country races to overlap Paris roubaix?
Basque is always the days between Flanders and P/R. 👊🦋
Great last stage. Still gutted on losing other favourites. It may be different story if they are in..😢
These guys were helped immensely when the entire podium crashed out. From 4th to first. The remaining season will be good for tier 2 stage racers.
No doubt it would have been different riders out there but I wonder if the story would have looked the same but just the names would have changed because all three of the big favorites are very even, much like we saw here today. 🤔👊🦋🔥💪
Finally you make a good comment about Mark Soler.
That’s not true. I always say much I love it when the Soler ism is in the race. Absolutely always. 😂🦋👊❤️🔥💪
@@ChrisHornerCycling 🤔 I guess I didn’t understand the Solerism comments. I understood them as being selfish.
Chris, where's your Paris-Roubaix coverage? Its been finished for hrs so get the face painted and let us know the knucklehead moves😅!
Is Lotte Kopecky the new Pogi? She was thrilling today. Thanks so much to Megan for her compassionate insights on what your families endure. How can we make make cycling safer? Speed limits and speed tickets, lol?
I will let her know 👊🦋🙏
I was hoping Sep might do something. Seems he doesn’t have the killer instinct needed. He wins in Italy last year and I thought this race would be his chance to make another GC statement.
Soler being useful.. I guess there's a first time for everything.
“Chesterfield” 😂
🛋️🦋👊
Ayuso's dog seemed happy to see him after the finish. I thought you might have put this in your review, but sadly not. Maybe next time?!!!
I meant to do it yesterday and today 🥲but sometimes I forget the details. You know Ayuso’s dog loves to meet up after a bike race is over with all that salt on the face to lick up. 😂🦋👊🐶
Solerisode!
😂👊🦋
I watched Kuss go for KOM and get it and I thought "oh consolation prize for Visma" but of course multiple teams want KOM if they can get it. Breakaway was not too interested though.
Kuss and Stevie went deep for that. 💪🦋👍
🗻
👍
Matt 👍 🏆🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋👍
Seems like there were no knuckleheads for once 😢
For a change solerism to the rescue for UAE
👊🦋💪🔥
Spanish boys gang up Skelmose
Dog my cat. Soler the TEAM rider.
💪🦋👊
the pedersen knucklehead show is underway with 70k to go
At the end strongest two riders left Ayuso and Rodriguez went 1-2. Funny how that always works out and people (not you)give us a list of 10 people that can win the tour. Any chance Movistar can snatch these two fellas and revive that proud team? What did we learn here of the form of the top 3 dogs? Seems like not much. Primoz teased with TT but made a wrong turn and others did nothing due to crash and now are out of commission. Winner is Pogi here but he will loose some energy in the Alps on that brutal 3rd week.
I so wish we got to watch more of Remco. He looked mean and lean here. 🥲🦋👍
The commentators were so worried about the original break. One look at that break and you know there no one there winning the GC. Maybe the stage, ok, but the GC no way. 🤪🦋👊
If it's "magical", it's an illusion.😁
do you think soler taking the bonus points from mattias was messed up? soler gained nothing and made mattias lose 2nd what do you think of tha t
Personally yes, that hurt to watch but there are some UCI points available so I can see it. 🤔🦋👍
@@ChrisHornerCycling and @artemduda8359 Did you catch the interview at the end of stage 6 with Skjelmose? The journalist said, "you looked mad after the stage, why" Skjelmose started to say something about Soler and then just said Soler and him will have a chat! hmmm
Chapeau bas aux Émirats arabes unis
Chapeau indeed 💪🦋👊
Maybe adrenaline got the better of race strategy at the end.
The chaos was all over the stage. Very easy to get cited. Skjelmose was by no means a knucklehead out there today but he has to know for sure that he can close the gap all the way to Soler when he attacked and then not let Ayuso get away at the same time. Otherwise he has to let his team and who ever else that would ride on the front, like Bora. Then Skjel waits until Ayuso or one of the other favorite riders attacks him on the cat 1 with 30k to go and he follows. Then they can close the gap for him. 🤔👊🦋🔥
Nice to see 5 Spaniards in the top ten.
They killed it 👊🦋💪
Wout is in an excellent team. Imagine him without jonas and primoz…
This team (UAE) is improving season by season. It seams everything is falling into a right place. Alpecin dominates sprints, UAE all the rest, with few exceptions
Ayuso is certainly very good and I can’t wait to see how Del toro rides as he gets older. 💪🦋👊
@@ChrisHornerCycling yes sir, youngsters are acome
I wanted a human to win against the aliens but.... But not like this. Let's all pray to the Earthlings Gods and the Aliens Gods that something like this never happens again...
Right. Never again want that much bad luck with all of the crashes there was this week. I soooo was waiting months for this race to watch Remco, Primos, and Jonas go at it and see whether or not they would let some smaller rider win just to avoid letting one of the big names win. But certainly the racing doesn’t get any better then today’s stage with bodies spread all over those mountains. 🔥🦋👊🔥
🦋fan of cyclisme not fan of cyclistes !
Soler is an AH. He didn't need to clip him at the line. He has forever made an enemy that will come back to bite him. Never have liked this rider, he has always been an AH.
It's called racing.... eh.?! Soler did exactly what he was supposed to do today... They finally have him on a leash... promising.!!!!
Best race I've seen for a while that last stage of tour of basque country, it was great racing from all concerned, 🚵♂️👍
I didn't think Ayuso would win after his crash, very impressive. Is he going to the TdF? If so he might be a candidate for 2nd place.
He’s on the list. 👊🦋
