Hey guys!! Today I'll tackle this HUGE beast of a vehicle from Forge world, the Legio Custodes Orion Assault Dropship. I've been painting a huge Adeptus Custodes army for a while now, having fun painting with true metallics.

Metallic paints tend to clog the airbrush very easily

Your dilemma over large models is solvable if you're able to keep the model broken down into smaller build sections that are easier to handle and paint. Our temptation to glue stuff completely together to see how it will look, tends to be our undoing when it comes time to actually paint them up! Best to grit your teeth and ignore that temptation and get sections painted- then assemble to admire your work afterwards. This makes more sense when there are hard-to-get-to areas during painting.

Yes but it also has its downside, like for example not getting the right angle with the airbrush and ending up with wrong highlights ahha but in this case the model was already built so I didn’t even had that choice ahah
