I love this game because I love Skee Ball. I was so mad when it was retired, but I get it. I still play Skee Ball whenever I can, makes me feel young and nostalgic.
@@MorganNye These days, as fast as they move, I doubt it. I never realized how few people knew the basic premise of Skee Ball, and how long it took to explain the proper technique.
@@HotSauceStain Let me put it this way ↕️, I'm very good 👍🏻 at knowing the exact airdates 💨 📆📆 to classic episodes of THE PRICE IS RIGHT 👉🏻: THE BARKER ERA.
I have noticed that Janice did not give the microphone to Bob Barker and it was just Dian and Holly who were showing the little prizes for the superball. That was the time when Janice sprained her ankle and she could not move very much. I do remember that time Janice sprained her ankle when I was a little girl of 12.
Also - when the contestant got the Super Ball in the WIN circle, they reused the tape of the doors opening for the prize introduction.....and then the shot back to Bob - the doors were closed. I was like - how did Holly get from the turntable backstage and behind door 3 so fast? Not even Anitra could do that!
And a few other notes - this playing of Super Ball!! marks the debut of MGHS for that game (now that's what I call Super Ball!! right there), plus Dian did the mic handoff which is quite unusual. It turns out Janice has a sprained ankle meaning that she was unable to hand the mic off as usual.
Airdate January 11, 1985. Janice had sprained her ankle in the January 10 episode (she limped when she handed Bob the microphone 🎤), so Dian handed Bob his microphone 🎤 here and on January 15, 16, and 17 episodes, with Phil Rossi handing it off on January 14. Kyle Aletter filled in for Janice on January 14 and 15, the other episodes had Janice modelling prizes either standing still or seated so she didn’t have to walk with Dian or Holly modelling small prizes in games like Super Ball and 5 Price Tags.
Originally aired on CBS: 1/11/1985; repeated airing on #TPIRBarker (Linda's playing for the baker's rack, living room group & the commuter car that is over $7,000 during #SuperBall⚾)
Besides the Diane handing off the mic to Bob..anyone noticed that when she sank the superball in the "WIN CIRCLE" that they reused the prize reveal from the opening of the game to show the prizes again. Them doors were closed on the cut back to Bob to close out the Act.
@@jamesmcclelland1414 God only knows how many skee-balls I fished out of adjacent lanes, the nets, the chutes, etc. Hell one patreon broke the score glass on one machine one time.
