“Is it fully loaded?” question by Renee had me thinking of a similar hilarious moment about 6 years later: in a March 1991 playing of Lucky Seven, a contestant named Cathy wasn’t familiar how to play the game so she was looking to the audience for the 1st number in the price (it was played for a 4 digit truck also). She then asked Bob if she could see the inside of the truck. Then after that she guessed the first number. Before the # was revealed, Bob wondered what made her select the number she chose and she said “It’s not fully loaded”, and then also said “Just a stick” which led to so much hilarity. Even funnier when she guesses the first number correctly after the number is revealed, she throws her $ on the stage and celebrates because she thought she would win the car if she “guessed the first number correctly”, which unfortunately she didn’t listen to the rules carefully as Bob had stated. 😂🤣
I remember the episode in 1973 the girl asking if the Ford comet or maverick had automatic transmission stumping bob a bit he chided her on of it even after she won the car
I'm a '74 model and like many others I have fond memories of staying home sick from school and watching the TPIR as the highlight of my day. What strikes me is the price of things 40 years ago compared to the income of the time. The price for those recliners is not far off from what you can get them for today. My dad made around $800 a month back then. I make about 10x that a month now.
@@jamesmcclelland1414 Sad to say that Johnny Olsen didn't live much longer after this episode was aired-I believe he died October 12th, 1985 at the age of 75, after suffering a stroke while driving to the Price Is Right studios.
I can see Renee put her the two recliners in her pickup 🛻 and drove off the The Price Is Right set and drove all the way to Thomas , Oklahoma for sure in my mind!
Also my guess for each of the 4 Numbers in the Price of that Car would have been the following. First Number: 7 Second Number: 4 Third Number: 8 Fourth Number: 5
Those ISUZU trucks were starting to come to their own with their PūP pickups after they’ve only built the small compact trucks for Chevy and GMC for the States (before the S-10 and the Sonoma came out in ‘82)
Idea: "Super Lucky Seven" - contestant wins one of the car for each $1 they have left over. They can buy multiples. If a car is put on Super Lucky Seven that's, say, 23,854, and the contestant is given the 2 and guesses 3, 8, 5, and 4, and has seven dollars left, they get SEVEN of that car.
Uhhhh no. Even though there probably is no way they would get every number right they would probably only play one game for a car that day. They'd have to have 7 cars available everytime they played. People usually don't have a lot of money left and if they did they would be better off getting gas with it instead of "buying" 7 cars without gas.
"Put gas in it!!"
Best answer ever.
" It ain't got no gas in it " .. 👎 ⛽️
@@yaphettvazquez9796 I like 🍟 🥔 !!
Almost 4 gallons worth back then
That $2 is not enough for a gallon today... not even half... >
Actually about the only thing she could afford with $2 would be one of those scent things that are hung in cars.
I could look out my window and see one of those Isuzus still out there on the road. She was a great contestant!
Gas prices in Oklahoma in 1984 would have been approximately $.90/Gal. With that $2 she would have almost 2 1/4 gallons!
Don't Walk Away Renee...
Drive away in that Izusu Pickup
“Put gas in it”
What an amazing answer!! Congrats to an incredibly charming woman🎉
Originally aired on CBS: 2/8/1985; repeated airing on #TPIRBarker

What year was this a pickup at 7k
