Brave Sir Robin ran away, Bravely ran away away, When danger reared its ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled, Brave brave brave brave Sir Robin!
Im a hunter main use the break and bait tactic along with the vertical space usage often on all types of players carrying all types of weapons. I love that stick and move playstyle.
Yes please definitely make a couple more follow-up videos on this as well as best tips for auto rifle engagements you can do a whole series that's one of the things I always appreciate about your videos was you always talk about fundamentals I've gameplay in addition to how awesome or bad weapons are
Great video! Normally your content is great, but when you feel passionate you over emphasize your point. However, the organization with the gameplay examples was top tier and clean! Keep it up!!
Definitely would be interested in more vids like this TV. Your movement always seems so smoothe and strategic and flows so well its ridiculous and I'm slightly jelly lol.
Dude I love watching you play top tree dawn. I use it as well, got a full auto anonymous autumn with rampage, high cal and an Icarus grip mod for good measure. Love slaying from the sky. Its a class that makes you feel skillful when you pull off a decent play and also can look so classy with the fluidity of the kills and movement.
I'm a cod player ( don't hold it against me ) played a bit of D1 but couldn't really get into it at the time with good call of duty still out. Never played against the destiny shotgun playstyle. Moved to destiny full time at the end of D1. Most skills transfer in terms of gun skill. But this helps a lot with the higher ttk in destiny! I'm 32 and still love your videos. Thanks for what you do.
Thanks Dude ! Nice gameplay and video ! I'll definitely will watch more of this tactics video breakdown . I'm an older player and my brain needs all the help it can get !
These are actually good tips for just playing crucible in general thx for the help make more! I’m currently trying my hardest to get to fabled for Luna and tips like this definitely help to improve my skill and play style. ^^ I’m always looking to get better ^^
A very good, informative and educational video. Everyone who is frustrated about shotguns should watch this. One thing that I had in mind was that you used mostly a sniper and sidearm for the use of this video, which seems to work well. But are there other loadouts that could work as well? Do the tactics differ when you use a handcannon, autorifle, fusion etc? That could be an interesting topic to discuss and show.
Ignazio9320 Loadouts that can match the same TTK that shotguns have. Fusions rifles (in the special slot) work the greatest imo; Telesto, Main Ingredient- Aztecross made a video about one Legendary fusion that can OHK at some pretty crazy distances.
Awesome video TV! Personally I would like for you to make another video like this because I’m always looking to improve my game or just see different perspectives from other people!
Thanks TV for the video. I was just about to ask a question along the lines of this video during one of your streams this past week, but here you are one step ahead. With that said, one great follow up video would be going into more detail on class specific strategies for tips 1 through 5. For example, I typically main a titan but I find I really struggle with effectively using airspace after I've broken line of sight. Many times I feel like my lift audio-cue tells the shotgunner to aim up, and I get miraculously domed by that chaperone hunter while they are sliding around the corner. Should I be using strafe-lift? Is catapult better? Perhaps I'm going into the air too soon and hovering rather than waiting for the last possible second? I'm trying to figure these things out on my own, but your input would always be welcomed. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
I really enjoyed this video, found it really useful. I was having a hard time dealing with shotgunners, nicely done dude, thanks! PS.: I'm willing to see more videos like this, loadouts advantages, gameplay in pvp, stuff like that.
Annnnd....thanks for making me feel old! I started laughing when I saw "Bravely running away" and then you followed up with comments. But it was still pretty funny. ;)
Antaeus Wards are phenomenal for the 'Break and Bait' cos the shot-gunner will, especially if they are using a full auto archetype, waste all f their buckshot on an invincible wall that reflects their pellets.
As a Night stalker main I love Gamblers dodge and smoke grenades. I run 4 paragon mods to get my dodge back as soon as possible. In close quarters you're usually close enough to get your melee back with a dodge, so if you don't have it, dodge. Throw the grenade around the corner. Bait them into walking into it (they do it all the time) clean up with whatever weapon you're holding. They are usually unaware of what's going on and moving too slowly to rush you.
Now think about this- Dragon's Shadow gives you a ten second buff to two of the most important stats; reload and handling. On top of that you get a Stompees esc buff to speed, jump and slide, along with reloading all weapons, AND it now activates kill clip and other reload perks. With 4 paragon mods, you have an 11 second cool down on your dodge. see where I'm goin'?
Can you do more pvp breakdown gameplay? I learn so much from watching your tactics and having you break it down. It really helps my game to see yours lol.
My favorite is the defensive telesto. Set up on a corner and pick away at enemies with your primary. When they push you drop some telesto on the corner and back up a bit. If they push you they die, and if they don’t you escape.
Hey man, love the videos! Definetly helped me improve my Crucible skills. I think not enough people have mastered the art of the tactical retreat and situational awareness. Maybe you could do a video on it?
Lol he was like hope to catch you in the crucible at the ending and i'm just sitting here hoping i don't get match made with gods like this. I think its time bungie extends the lore of the game to include stories about real life guardians that have been a pillar to this community since as far as i can remember like True Vanguard here. Have a great one and keep doing what you're doing
Follow up vids would be awesome. I'm primarily a PvP player and enjoy learning new strats to use. P.S. I'm over 40 and still carry an above 2 kd. Keep it up brother.
jomiran1000 if you play hunter, run mechaneers tricksleves with way of the wind on arcstrider. Otherwise, a sidearm with quickdraw and a solid range/stability perk does well too. Adaptive frame is really good. I personally run rat king or a QuickDraw full auto Anonymous Autumn.
I think it's time the Destiny Community Knights you as ''Lord Sidearm'' Seriously think it's become your standout weapon of choice that people now associate/relate sidearm usage to the way that you engage with them. Great video btw, good to know the 3 steps you recommend are steps that I find extremely useful myself. Like button clicked 👍
That’s why we warlocks need to use transversive steps. TTh edoubled slide distance is great for shoutgjn counters on pc, flick 180 slide, add 3-5 meters to the equation and their shotgun become ssignificantly less reliable
Vanguard i have a good one. Graviton and a Explosive shot scout or hc. suprise them with the explosive shot then if they want to rush finish em with a good old S3 meta weapon to rattle their bones
I wish I could get a good rolled fusion to deal with it also, waiting for a liquid coils hip fire tap the trigger main ingredient and icarus mod, the fr4 from the gunsmith is a great gun even with a bad roll.
great commentary this week on crucible radio. i ended up matching with you on ps4 during IB. the matchmaking makes me wonder sometimes, we were on a team that got steam rolled. perhaps the game matched you with nothing but kinderguardians? good to see you in action but reassuring that there are some games that cannot be won due to MM!
Spoiler: Long comment that starts with Hunter specific but becomes a question about help for all 3 classes Could you do a video talking about the Hunter dodge? I just got my Sixth Coyote, and never got to play D1 as a Hunter. I hear of this thing called the double shadestep, but what does that look like in D2? Or what are some tactical ways to use the hunter dodge aside just the intended purposes, getting melee back or reloading? I know there's retreating to cover and getting a gauge of the field and even switching directions in close quarters but I feel like there are other key things that I'm missing, and I've been chipping away at them but Idk what they are. And I feel like you could provide some of that guidance to Hunters like me. And it doesn't have to be just hunters. What about creative/calculated ways to use the Titan Barricades or Healing/Empowering rifts? If my fellow Guardians want class specific training from the Vanguard (TV) they should up vote this comment so he can see it and consider it.
Kiting is the same thing as your number 1 btw, it's just moving away from your opponent when they push you, it isn't about pulling them to something specific, it's a tactic used in a lot of games lol, the game I've used kiting most in personally is eve online.
I got the curated roll of mind bender. Is it better compared to my retold tale with full choke acurized round and snapshot ? Also does shotgun dexterity help with ads speed ?
I find it hilarious when people try to shotgun from a mile away and then proceed to push me when they have no health. Like just use a primary it’s not that hard 4head
Ive actually gotten hate messages many times before because I bodied with bow and switched to a hand-cannon to clean up lol. I know exactly how that feels
Im actually pretty proud of myself for more or less developing these same strategies on my own (sidearm and everything). Im nowhere near as good at executing them, but hey, i have the right idea at least.

I love the no scope slap combo too
I would like to see a series on how to deal with different supers.
I deal with Nova Warp by uninstalling.
If you hear what direction it was popped. Run. If it's nova warp, put down your controller. You about to die twice either way
Best way to avoid nova warp is hide in the respawn screen
It would be a pretty short series lol. Either run or teamshot. Mainly run.
@@samolivarez3546 unless it is a golden gun or spectral blades of course

When im killed by a shotgun- AAAAARRRGGHH!

I have been using your break line of sight advice since you mentioned in a video a while back. has improved my gameplay by leaps and strides
