I fitted the SC exhaust to my wife's Monster. The sound is much better than the original exhaust, which doesn't really come across in your video. We first tried the much more expensive Termignoni, but it was totally disappointing, it sounded almost like the original exhaust.
I thought the Termignoni was alright, but not worth it for the money. The SC was great. You're right, the difference is much more noticeable in person than in the video.
The look is better, but the Sound isnt really better. Ive got the SC Project SC1 on my Monster 821 (2017 EURO 3 Norm). I think the sound is a lot better. Thank you for your Video 😊
In real life the sound is better, but it is tough to recreate in the video. I noticed a deeper, louder exhaust note. There are also more deceleration pops, which I like. I made a video of this exhaust without wind noise here: th-cam.com/video/uz3USfShxL8/w-d-xo.html I like the SC1 a lot - I feel like it makes the biggest difference, but I wanted to keep the dual exhaust look, which is more similar to the stock look.
Hi, That exhaust looks amazing. Still contemplating between the dual or the Sc1 . Unsure which has a nicer tone but the Dual exhaust definitely looks amazing 👍
Thank you! The CR-T definitely improves the look of the bike. From what I have heard, the SC1 exhaust sound is slightly better, but I wanted to keep the original dual exhaust look. I feel like the SC1 changes the intended design of the bike. Either is an excellent option though.
@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles I reckon I'll go for the latter as I do share the same sentiment as you. Keeping the original outlook of the twin exhaust in a way makes this bike appealing. That being said, its my opinion 🤭 Exhaust tone in videos doesn't really do justice. Instead, standing right beside the bike will definitely be a different experience. ✌️
@@EmmirulNorman Exactly, it is very tough to tell the sound in video, even if the setup in the before/after is the same. The CR-T is definitely louder with a deeper bass note. I like it more than the stock. There are also a lot more deceleration pops. Check out this video of mine for an example: th-cam.com/video/uz3USfShxL8/w-d-xo.html
I want to install that exhaust "end" on my bike but I have a question.... Installing that, do we need to remap the bike or that "remapping" is only for the case that you change all the exhaust system including the pipes and catalyst? thanks for all any way
With just the slip on "end", you do not need to remap anything. If you want to do a full system and eliminate the catalytic converter, that is when you will need to remap your computer.
@@tps479 I haven't done bar mirrors yet, but I do have a video on better mirrors for this bike: th-cam.com/video/lWuWmVFeTGA/w-d-xo.html I also have videos about better turn signals and fender eliminator kit. Feel free to subscribe to the channel! I'm always making new videos.
Yeah, I love the new look as well - much cleaner and the carbon fiber is a nice touch. I was expecting more from the sound, but it does sound better than the stock when you hear it in person. It is definitely louder and has a deeper note. Check out this video for a better idea of the exhaust sound while riding: th-cam.com/video/uz3USfShxL8/w-d-xo.html
I agree, I was expecting a bit more of a difference as well. When you hear it in person, it is definitely louder with a deeper note. There are also more pops when decelerating and downshifting, which I like. If you listen with headphones, the difference is more noticeable. Out of the SC line, the SC1-R has been one of the most noticeable differences but I wanted to keep the dual exhaust look.
They look better but I'll be damned if I can hear any difference over stock. Seemingly the only real option is to decat but I sense that will make the bike too loud, aside from potential engine issues if it's not remapped to account for the added leaning of the AFR. Bit of a dilemna for monster owners....
Great comment, thank you! In person, the slip on does sound louder with a deeper tone. It is tough to express through the microphone. I did an in-ride video with wind shielding so you can really hear it well: th-cam.com/video/uz3USfShxL8/w-d-xo.html I was most impressed with the deceleration pops, which I think might be related to the larger diameter of the slip on. Some people love a loud bike, but a decat would be too loud for me. And I agree, unless you are really into tuning bikes, remapping would be a hassle and added expense unless you know how to do it already.

Monster is SUCH a fitting name for that BEAST. Looks the part and now totally sounds the part. TOUGH bike!
Yup! I'm on the Streetfighter V4S now - even wilder bike

Is it possible to remove the db killer from the sc project's slip on?
I think it would be very difficult to do with this exhaust and might require cutting and re-welding. A metal grate covers the end of the exhaust.
Nice soda cans 😂. It became louder?
Not just any soda cans, carbon and titanium soda cans 😂. Yes, it is louder and has a deeper note now.
@@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles have a Monster too. I want to put a soda can too hahahah

It’s bc of db killer norm I would guess, they can really make them that much louder bc of Euro 5 norm

Can you take the
baffles out on the SC Projects?
I'm sure you could, but it would not be easy. There is a grate over the exhaust tips that you would have to cut and re-weld after.
Can u take out the db killers ?
I think it would be tough. You'd have to cut the titanium grates and then re weld them somehow.
🤍I subscribed you just because one day I would buy one and have a ride with you if that's ok with you🖤
Awesome, thanks for subscribing!
Why leave the bread box??? 🤦🏾♂️
I don't want my exhaust system that loud. I don't want to flash/remap the ECU.
Both are not enough good....westing money on both
Both?
Did you even put an exhaust on?? Sounds so bad I bet you spent 900 bucks too didn’t you? Haha
