- www.RoadTestTV.com World's Fastest Naturally Aspirated Grand Cherokee SRT8 does a wheelstand and puts it on the bumper during this 10.49 @ 123 mph 1/4 mile pass. This bad Jeep SRT 8 has a LPM stroked 440 cubic inch Hemi that puts down 650 horsepower to the wheels and has been converted from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive.

The trackhawks’ ancestor never let us down either
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I never thought ive ever see a Jeep hop a wheelie xD That's amazing!
Work at a Chrysler dealer myself, can attest these SRT8 Grands even stock with AWD launch VERY agressive. And they are very build able and tuneable
I knew it was something special about them ever since I seen one lauch in the air all 4 tires floating for atleast 5 seconds
@@westsidesagittarius3103 where?
@@TasteMyPP I wish I knew I seen the video a long time ago it was some guys jeepsrt8 build, when revved too 5krpm it could lauch so hard that all 4 tires would jump in the air it dominated every car on the track and AWD was kept on unlike this one just search srtjeep track videos it somewhere
The old 2010 ones were monsters
@@DeathhAngel1My stock 06 chirps the tire on a launch. These things are the definition of aggression lol.
Now that's HEMI for ya!
dude, that jeep just did a wheelie. mind blown
amen
Hell yeah
Fr
0:40 And that is why we buy American son
made in mexico
beast, all these youtube haters on here, i say give credit where credit is due, doesn't matter if its a god damn school bus going down the strip, power is power, period!
Fucken AMEN......... people are so fucked up...
I would’ve crapped myself if I was the other driver once I saw that Jeep on two wheels
Thank you so much! You're the only youtuber who's thumbnail match in this type of video!
Damn Toretto, always making Mopar look cool.
man...those SRT Jeeps are just the epitome of beastly...a frikn 5000 lb vehicle doing a wheelie...tremendous flat out
as a 172mph 1/4 mile drag bike racer myself I have just one word............WOW!!!
Wow! That was an incredible wheelie lol
Logic behind that jeep
Man: Honey im tired of not making the last light on my way to work
It runs almost track hawk times, all motor and rwd. There’s a ton of stuff done right with this.
10.49 is a stunning time considering the MPH is only 123!!! Im in the high 11's at 122 with my street tires...
i was racing one of these cherokees in my s10 which by the way has a 383 stroker under the hood and i say this with a heavy heart. got my ass handed to me. 😡
b .
shouldn't even have tried man.
don't feel bad man, stock these things make 390 to 425hp depending on if it is the 5.7 or 6.2.
I have a 383 blazer my boy that picks me up has the 6.1 sry Cherokee thing is sick ast
@@tokahontas9990 You gotta try! 😎 You might end up 😡, But atleast you tried. If you win then your 😃🤑😎 No matter what you drive or ride, there's always someone faster.
That is a bad assed Jeep!
A Ten second SUV ...damn
Holy crap that was amazing
That is one bad ass Jeep I love it
LMAO......Dayum bro....you have the sickest SUV I ever seen...I am now a Jeep fan
Jeep did that wheelie I was like damn mind blowing but nice 🤣🤣🤣
For some reason its funny but at the same time amazing!!
Dude that IS INSANITY! The absolute best thing I've seen since all this Orwellian BS that's happened.
Never thought I'd see a WK do a wheelie like that...
That's insane 😳 🔥
Damn, that is impressive.
The 1/4 mile time says 650hp but that wheel stand makes me think otherwise.lol
+XShadowHazeX wheel stands are about torque and grip, enough of both you could pull the front wheels with an 80's mustang.
+Waylon Richardson I was hinting that it looks like the Jeep is putting down more power than what they're saying because of the wheel stand, yet the quarter mile time seems to 'match' the power output.
ah ok
If it were a 3200 pound car...I would agree with 650hp and the time...but its 5k pounds with the aerodynamics of a barn door....my money is on waaaayyyy more HP than they are saying...
Takes the 3 T's to wheelie. Torque, Traction and Transfer, Torque gets you off the line, traction keeps your wheels propelling you forward, transfer gets the back end to squat which leads us back to torque and traction, torque continues to transfer the weight to the rear end and the traction keeps you glued.
Daily SUV pulling wheelie on green light = Good day
Would be very cool to see
THE PURE AMERICAN POWER OF THE 6.4L HEMI BABY! FUCK YEAH!
So sick , but not sure how 650whp gonna make a bus wheel stand that far 🤔
my mind is still blown by the jeep doing that crazy wheely
wow cant belive the camaro still one the race after the jeep jumped hahaha
I can. I totally expected it. The Jeep would be faster if he could keep all four wheels on the ground.
Imagine this thing at a red light haha!
That's exactly what he did, redlighted..
ok everybody belittling it for "only" running 10 seconds, lots of drag racers spend thousands of dollars to get their muscle cars into the 10's so for an suv especially a boxy one like this to get into the 10's is an incredible build, especially since it only makes 100 or 150hp more than what a muscle car would have to make to get into the 10's
That was a good race!
Holy traction Batman!
Wk1 6.1 Jeep SRT8'S have that timeless aggressive body style, great power @ stock and can take alot of boost..Unfortunately newer SRT's have massive hp and are supercharged from the factory with nothing else than guaranteed wheel spin from a dig in any Street Race...That being said, it's made for the Track....TRT not an SRT
this srt jeep and the drag times srt jeep are probably the coolest ones out there
amurica
Love it😍😍😍
WOW! So much torque!
Badass!!
Wow....thats a bad ass Jeep right there
He red lighted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Either way he fucked up that camaro. And would have if he started at green.
@@zarefantasy3479 Dude, he lost even jumping the light, getting a head start. The camero ran him down and beat him by .21 of a second, therefore if he didn't jump the light he would have been beat by more. He lost momentum doing the wheel stand which was why he was 7 MPH slower than the Camaro. If your wheels spin on launch your MPH goes up, but your ET goes down. If he had wheelybars, and didn't jump the light, he might have beat the Camaro.
I'm not MOPAR-guy, but that was ****ing RAD!
i like jeeb but im with in😍with old age behavioral camaro. so thums up for both😙
Tremec makes transmissions for Chrysler too. The torqueflite was good in its day, but has been considered outdated. the 904 makes for a good start in building a lightweight, durable, fast transmission. In a Chrysler of course.
i wish this was an all wheel drive jeep, would have some killer launches
Mike gamble!! It's possible!! Back in the day they were not using power adders like today
And people say fords suck....that wheelie was sweetttt
Ford? You mean Jeep...I like Fords, but there were none in this video.
You gotta give props to that Cherokee. Even though it lost, it sure did impress me more than that big block camaro.
i have an 08 with drag rads and iv done 12.6 down the track
That is one badass Jeep!! Must have a transbrake!!!
More like 4300 pounds with the rwd conversion.
thanks, life is just easier this way and i learned a little somethin
that a beast, hands down
Killer holeshot!!! 😎
"I live my life 10 seconds at a time"
David Speelman No. No you don't. You're on youtube.
"Buuuuurrrrnnnn huhuha"
I saw this jeep in 2013 at that track, all I could say was holy hell
Damn I thought it was a click bait 💀😂
757, takes a big man to say that. Matter what, I respect that in a person!
wow! i clicked the thumbnail (wheelstand) expecting bullshit. Very nice!
That's one insane grocery getter
Lol
Awesome wheelies both cars
0.24 a monster was about to be unleashed
Debi needs this JEEP.
It did a wheelie, it has enough traction. Converting to 2wd saves weight.
Fantastic
You know what's even more impressive than a car doing a wheelie? One that doesn't.
It does matter, you have 2x the surface area of contact, there is no "if" it hooks up. but AWD isnt used in drag racing often because it robs power and is a weak link in the drive system and extra weight. But a rear wheel drive could never hook up like an awd system.
those soccer moms will never be late for another game
youve obviously never done a continuous build on a car that starts out small and then grows and grows, then the next thing you know, two years later, you're like "how the fuck did i get to this point"
That doesn’t look right haha 😂
Im a Chevrolet person all the way but damn RESPECT for that jeep fucker is bad....great video
torque monster! that's what im shooting for maybe 392 crate (525hp) with 75 shot and later twin turbo kit
suspension is nicely tuned.
Old-school still took the win
Nobody talking about the win it’s about the Jeep dude smh
beautiful
10 Second jeep! Whats next? A 10 second Hummer? ...YO!
taillight's, do you mean ill be looking at the top of his jeep when he launches it? lol
thats wild, it hooks instantly too. it would be interesting to see the same powerplant but AWD instead of RWD.
The perfect weight for the high power. I sorry folks but theirs a point where your to light for you power.
It's about time the hot rodding community discovered the potential the Gen 3 Hemi has. It's design shares features from both Gen 1 and Gen 2 Hemis which made them unstoppable in their days.
johnnymitz gen 1 hemis? are you reffering to the original hemi from the 60s? if so the 440 powered cars handed hemi drivers their asses many times over the 427 fords were shitting on hemis the 428mach 1s were shitting on hemis the list goes on. but atleast dodge has an engine that is better than what ford has. the coyote is a wasted effort.
Dragon Knight of the Ebonheart Gen 1 Hemis are from the 50s. These are the 331ci, 354ci, and 392ci hemis. And I think there was a 301ci Hemi then, too. Not sure. The Gen 2 Hemi is the infamous 426 Hemi. Now, back to your comment. Yes, many hemis were "beaten" by other makes...the definition of "beaten" means different things to different people. Yes, Gen 1 were not killers by today's standards, but were very formidable in their days. Chrysler 300s with a Gen 1 hemi was powerful for its time. The 426 Max Wedge Stage III motor was a real killer too, and was NOT a hemi. The motor of choice for decades in Top Fuel and Funny Car drag racing was either the 392 Hemi or the 426 Hemi, although modern fuel cars use a derivative, but still a Chrysler-based hemi. Ford had hemis then, and were killers, too. (Go to some Nostalgia Drag Racing event. You'll see them.) But I think what killed their use amongst racers was their complexity and 4-head-bolts-per-cylinder.And to my point. Both of these early hemis had design features which made them advantageous over the competition. Too much to list here. When the Gen 3 Hemi arrived, it used a ton of these design features, and still do. Clearly Chrysler went into their design archives and dusted off some old prints and said, "...boys, let use what worked then and place it on the new one..."And that is why I placed my first comment.
johnnymitz gen 1 hemis were extended into the very early 60s. most people are familiar with the current and the 426 hemis.
in the 60s the hemi was a remarkable car engine but only for drag race competition not street use where these street driven hemis were demolished at every street light by a 440 or a 428.
even on the strip the hemi powered factory backed cars ere getting handled by the factory backed ford factory fairlanes and galaxies even the 390 had its fair share of glory..
the current hemis are not real hemis many don't know that.
not dogging on the hemi I do like them. the only hemi headed engine ford ran was the 427 cammer. it was a solid deal for ford and the buyers. intended for nascar go banned due to Chrysler whining so ford introduced the cammer to drag racing. I have a set of those heads in my shop haven't been used since 77 by my uncle in his 67 fairlane 2 door. that car got smacked by another car at the strip.
the one main problem with high performing cars back then were terrible top end flow, they had the displacement but they flow air poorly. even though the 428 mach1 and torinos had piss poor top end they still managed to run high 12s the mustang cant do that due to weight and displacement. by todays standards those car ran decently those who ignore that fact are those who don't understand engine performance.
Dragon Knight of the Ebonheart Thank you for your comment. Yes, a lot of great old motors, now long forgotten by most. Ford's 390, I thought, was a great motor. Optimum bore & stroke ratio for all around use, and seemed to be a great truck engine - nice low end torque. I would argue that Chrysler's 383 engine was the same in that regard.
yup about the same.
the 390 was a decent truck motor.
the 390 was truly a dual purpose engine. all you have to do was change top ends.
that's what ford does still to this day.
I cant say the same thing for ford now their small displacement engines are terrible in fuel economy and torque.
im a ford guy but I hate everything ford has now except for the supreduty and the 6.2l which is what I run in my marauder and galaxie.
dat wheelie!!! damn!! nice jeep
Damnnn dat sick as hell
Yes..
youtube "Sickest 1000hp+ JEEP SRT8 in the WORLD!!! Daily Driven!!!" that would blow the doors off this car.
bc wiring it over, engine trans rearend swap, computer, guages interior wiring controls switches and all that to get it to wire up for a srt8 more then just an engine and trans swap
Guys,,,,, it's a ten second SUV!!!!!!! Get beyond the childish make believe "if I did this", or "Chevy that" even "Toyota?".......
It's awesome!
thats a fast sleeper
ر
Damn (Srt) Big monster
Oh and btw the Stage III 426 produces 615HP and costs $18,000 retail as listed on Jegs and that 528CI HEMI produces 640HP as listed on Summit Racing. And there is no physical way that an engine with the same displacement, but made with steel and aluminum components is lighter than the LS7 hand-built with aluminum, magnesium and titanium components. It would defy the laws of physics.
Dammm that mthfka popped a fat a$$ wheely🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏽
No way in hell that's 650...way more
I was finna say that big block was gone catchem... But it did... Nice SRT Tho one of my FAVz
Don't be a As Crack BUDDY!!!
?
+TheCincykid420 finna=going to... sorry English teacher
Power Ported Performance (just one of many) engine builders that make a 440sb for street strip use....
No but definitely the coolest.
And with that, it BARELY got beat.
i wish i coulda seen the look on the camaro drivers face when the jeep beat him off the line with a wheelie, lol
That's sick, he got the front wheels up on a SUV.
