Perfect move and timing on her part, as those other women are some of the best racers in the world, and very experienced, but caught off guard, and looking at each other to react first. Too late, Kristen was gone!
Great summary. As soon as I learned about Kristen's track experience, her final move made perfect sense. The other riders were probably caught by surprise and didn't think that Faulkner could sustain her pace to the finish. Live and learn. Go Team USA!!!
