    Disc 2: Blue Screen Footage
A revolutionary documentary about an underground dance style the Melbourne Shuffle:
Dance music has spread across the world transcending religious & racial barriers connecting to the hearts and souls of millions. People have always felt the rhythm of music and have as a result evolved countless dance styles throughout the ages.
Underground Epidemic Productions (UEP) presents a documentary about an underground dance style, the 'Melbourne Shuffle', that first began to evolve in the late 80's in Melbourne's underground party scene, a revolutionary freestyle dance that has now developed into the most unique and robust underground dance style since the birth of Break-dancing.
Initially grown from the roots of Acid Techno/House music along with back stepping and psychedelic arm movements. The Melbourne Shuffle has no set steps but encourages individuality and imagination, incorporating dance moves from numerous styles such as miming, popping & locking, liquid and breaking.
But the basis of the Melbourne Shuffle has traditionally been the footwork either performed sliding left to right, on the spot or in a triangular movement, but is evolving everyday.
Known as "Rocking" to the Melbourne locals, the name Melbourne Shuffle has been derived from overseas DJ's, visitors and the media trying to describe this phenomenon. The Melbourne dancers don't generally dance for competition or to show off but for themselves, for fun and self-expression

Yay! Thanks for finding this classic piece! Melbourne shuffle has always fascinated me more than modern shuffle that started after LMFAO.

lmfaos should never be mentioned in hardstyle shuffle they are a disgrace for the dance and only there for the money

The guy 23 mins, always amazed me. I've watched his clip so many times. No one here shuffled like that in the US.

All these guys/girls were regular club patrons, id see them all the time at clubs/raves. Everyone used to shuffle like this with their own unique flair/take on it, but it was amazing to walk into a packed club and everyone would be doing this without getting in each others way. Bump someone and it was a thumbs up, all good buddy. No-one was competitive, little to no aggression but rather encouragement and acknowledgement of a unique dance created in underground Melbourne.. Was good times mate.

@@Flanderz38 thats one of the things i miss about going to rave clubs back in the day. i couldn't dance for shit lol but the vibe in them was amazing. it could get packed but there was always enough room for people to do their thing. if someone knocked someone it was all good. i accidentally knocked into someone at a commercial club once and the guy turned around looking like he wanted to kill someone lol

@@DavidM-gw9zv we had a rave club where I am back however long ago and it had the same underground vibe. Anywhere else here was full of the wrong type of people. The dance style we adopted here was good, but nothing compared to the authentic. I truly miss those care free days, but it got us to where we are now.

Fucking love this footage, great tracks, and shufflers who show off the diversity of the shuffle from acid bush old skool fluidity, Club ravers/boofers to PHD running man rockers. I used to be pretty good with the old hat tricks lol.
