Year 1992 in Poland...I was 14. Hardly anyone there had any experience of western life, culture and freedom at that time. I remember my neighbour went on holidays and let me use his cable tv. I was watching MTV for one week. And this is how I first got to know these guys, seeing Everybody In The Place video. And I was absolutely overwhelmed. I recorded it on my VHS and then lost myself dozens of times. 23 years later I met Keith Flint in Isle of Man where I live now and gave him a lift. He was a motorycle enthusiast and the island is famous for the most dangerous motorbike road races in the world. We had a short chat but I could see instantly he was a decent guy and empathic person. Natural, straight forward but attentive one. I told him I was going to see him in a few weeks in Poland with thousands of fans at the Opener festival. He didn’t even hesitate, just smiled and offered me VIP tickets. I am truly sad and feel like something really good is gone. Rest in peace Mr Flint 💚
Wow, lucky men, i'm very sad to
Awesome ❤️
What a fantastic memory.
miko lucky man too have met him
Amazing memory! What a sad loss x
Remember trying to do the running man back in '92 listening to this. Now aged 50, I tried again, and just injured myself!!! Worth the pain!! 😃
i can remember my best friend tries to do the x-step shuffle - he banded his legs with his belt around the knees :)
result was he tumbles into my furniture and got a bad knee for weeks :))) this was then - today im 44yrs. and i started to bboying 1 year ago. there i learned how to x-step shuffle ;) and today i know also: my friend never would be succesfull with his former "trick" :) :) :)
Haha lol yeah fortunately I can still move like I did in the late 80s early 90s at raves as I'm still very fit for 53 and very light on my feet yesssss the running man looked fkn mint wen dancing under strobe lights

You should change your diet then. CARNIVORE SUCCESS!!
Keith pulled me up on stage in middlesbrough during the jilted generation tour after watching me dance in the crowd. I was on stage for most of the show and met the boys afterwards. At the time I didn't realize how privileged I was, I was 16 at the time, looking back now at 44 it was one of the proudest moments after my kids being born. RIP Kieth Flint,.🙌

Just loved that this was an interracial group and no one in the UK felt the need to comment or even notice. Just a bunch of Essex boys getting it done and having a great time.
100% - no-one cared at the time and I still don't now - it was the music that counted, didn't know their politics or sexuality and didn't care either. That should always be the case.
Yeah, its beautiful isn’t it
We've gone and got our chundies in a knot about identity politics these days. The Prodigy will always be The Prodigy.

Brunswick Street Festival 1999 in Melbourne ❤. The whole crowd went nuts when this dropped! An amazing tune that still sounds fresh today!
Liam created most of the sound but always loved the way he understood that there was a place for all band members. They all played their parts & made an epic band
You could tell Liam loved to stay in the background too. He somehow manages to be proud but humble at the same time.

I used to work as a bouncer in a night club in the early 90s. This DJ introduced me to prodigy. Still love them at age 55.
they are considered Godfather of EDM
Classic. Hackabd Turnmill and Trade days. Love you, Keith. Always a proper politely spoken geezer. Essex oh my days lil 😮😮😅😮😢
Rest in Peace big Keith!
You brought us all together!
ARI3S it's so sad, I used to love prodigy's music as a kid & still do now! Probably my favourite long term group ever! I wish I could of got yo see them on tour! .... so to anybody who is still in the place let's go!!! Keith the legend RIP brother.
Rob Baker yes mate, I’m knocking on 39 this year and this song sums up my teenage years, it’s always my go to.
From what I remember, in the album, Charlie came next 🤘🏻
To the rest of the band mates and families, sorry for your loss 😢
35 & still loving the Prodigy man! It's been an imotional week.... not everybody understands that, but it was a real heart stopper for me! I just hope when I die everybody WILL be in the place raving are socks off.
@@robbaker9103 I feel you!! Cried a lot that this happend 😭 I have the same age as you. Heard them for the first time when I was 8 years old back in 92. It was my older brother who introduced them to me. I became a fan. Keith his death hits me so hard
Yeah! that's funny similar circumstances as me! Once I heard them a couple of times that was it, I was hooked. I always used to have Prodigy playing in the background. I only watched this video like two weeks ago to cheer myself up & now this week has been a real eye opener for me. It's so sad.
Everyone wants to be back in 90s. That's for sure. Miss old days 😭

So then Prodigy played at a festival, 500 meters from my house. Keith wasn't there in person, but the tribute was great. I danced my ass off. Not bad for a 52 year old geezer.
Remember this being released and being totally mesmerised by the dance moves! Still gives me chills and goosebumps watching the prodigy from back in the day, unless you lived it, you'll never know what it was like growing up listening to these guys
Prodigy were only the tip of the iceberg, they were really famous back then and rightly so, but there were hundreds of other underground tunes on Formation Records, Moving Shadow, Production House and endless other labels (not to mention all the white labels). 1992 was the best year 🙂

Only in Britain... I mean so many music styles came out of this island. The 90ties and electronic music were as British as the whole rock of the 60ties and 70tiies not to mention punk and so on. Am a 90ties child and prodigy is memories of youth and craziness that comes with it. One can only be thankful for this kind of music and the vibes it brought. The best Prodigy times for me
PurelyAfrican definitely my fave Prodigy album. So many different styles! Why can’t they emulate that now?
@PurelyAfrican Chopped Up Charlie mix even better - that's a freaky dark tune!
This reminds me of days and nights spent off my head at house parties etc. Ending up smoking in some random party, getting with a girl but not remembering her name all evening.
Now I have kids and a mortgage.
Things are right at their right time in life. I couldn’t live this life now and wouldn’t have it any other way. It is, however, nice to hear the tunes and go back for twenty minutes every now and then

1:42 the most brilliant dance sequence in a track - love the guy behind going for it
The Chemical Brothers wciąż trzyma poziom mimo upływu lat. w 2019 wydali genialny album No Geography który miejscami przypomina klimaty początku lat 90

I was glad to have seen these guys. The early techno days were a banger.
1996. I am 6 years old. South of Russia, small town Bataysk. I am interested in communicating with older guys, gaining experience and intelligence. I came to their yard, they were sitting on a bench, I said hello. And one of the guys, his name is Dima, he was about 16 years old. He says the following: "Can you imagine, last night, at three o'clock in the morning, a guy was walking under the windows with a tape recorder. A cool Sony tape recorder, on batteries, and he was listening to the Prodigy song "Everybody In The Place" at full volume." I remembered all this, and later, when I was about 10 years old. This was already 2000. I bought myself my first audio cassette - "Prodigy". It was great.

Team Traction Control ! 🤘
why was dance music in this era so freaking good? I dunno it just was and still is, banging!
It was the energy. They were more focused on having fun making them. Nowadays most just focus on it sounding "clean and professional" and end up being something mellow with a catchy hook, instead of an addicting euphoric thing.
Because they didn't have computers for the backing tracks, streaming or anything automatic but it took time to make so more creativity
That's exactly what it was it was pure "euphoria", in Ireland out me back garden me da had a big shed, we would clear it out, get strobe lights a load of speckled doves and dance till morning, then some would smoke gear for the come down, which unfortunately led to a few becoming heroin addicts, crazy cos we were only aged 12 to 14 the oldest. Still have a video cassette recording of a couple of them. 7 of the fifteen in the recordings are no longer around 😢.
To solve the energy crisis, I suggest we hook Leeroy Thornhill to the National Grid, and play him some songs. We'd have a power surplus in about a day. Long live the Prodigy!
