Very Nice engine ! Sad part is that I repowered a year ago with 300’s and I would of opted for these 350’s instead of I had known.
I am a Yamaha man and I want nothing else when I m at sea. Down here in the Caribean my main concern is reliability and my Yamaha’s never disappoint.

You probably better off with your 300's.
This new 350 engine seems like a 300 stretched as far as they can take it. That's not good for big hours.

    Torque difference between V8 F350 and V6 350?

Where does the new 350 make its extra torque & horsepower? Is it all at the higher RPM's? Will it have more torque or HP at lower RPM's to improve hole shot?

About time Yamaha got back in the 350hp segment, because after all, as in the early 2000's, the 250 Fourstroke replaced the 200 four stroke and 250 2-stroke as the standard and in the 2010 -1015 time frame the 300 fourstroke replaced the 250 four stroke and all 2-strokers in the saltwater game as the standard, now the 350 is the new 300. Between the Zuke DF350, Honda BF350, the Merc free breathing V8's, and now finally a Yamaha F350 there are some serious great choices now for outboard power

Why do they release the exhaust gases underwater, seems like that's not good for the marine environment?

Will the white color be $2k more than grey like the 300?

You claimed the difference in weight compared to the F300 is only 18lbs but on the website engine comparison tool it says it’s an 80lb difference. Which is correct?

Here are the specs. 25" F350 is 629lbs (with built-in digital steering is STANDARD). 25" F300 DEC (WITH built-in digital steering) is 611 lbs. 629-611 = 18 lbs. difference.

Any flywheel harmonic problems like Yamaha's last F350?

The advertised weights reflect a larger difference than 18 lbs. Can you expand on that? Is that due to the integrated steering? Maybe that is not included in the weight of the F300?

@@YamahaOutboards01 That's great! How much weight does the integrated steering add on a vessel compared to a traditional set up? In other words - what are we truly adding by going to a new 350 vs a 2015 F300? Also - can you expand on where the added weight is? I assume the crankshaft is heavier. Lower unit? Anything that stands out from that perspective?

If properly serviced what is the expected life of this engine in hours of use?
    Thank you

What happens when you are 30 miles offshore and the digital power steering goes out? How are you supposed to get back to shore?

These two are terrible at this sort of delivery. I couldn’t even watch until the end.

Weak sauce, Yamaha. They took the 300, which came from the 225 and 250, and modified it to make 350? Something doesn’t add up. Went from 4.2 to 4.3… I think this will result in shorter engine life and underperformance in horsepower. I have twin 300’s and was hoping for a stronger showing for when I repower, but I’ll be looking elsewhere now

А ты используй триботехнический состав- добавку в масло. Это увеличит срок службы двигателя в 1.5-2 раза. Добавляй свежий состав при каждой смене масла. Привет из России.

Yep, definitely weak. The 4.2L F300 struggles to make 300hp on 89 octane. All they did was add a 0.1L displacement and increase the compression ratio from 10.3:1 to 11.0:1. That's not going to deliver a solid 350hp. Even if it does, the torque curve is going to be so inferior to Mercury's 5.7L V10 350hp model, and that's with 87 octane. And the Merc is only about 70 lbs heavier. But I cannot say that Yamaha is stupid. They know they've won the hearts and minds of so many boaters due to their legendary reliability. They can introduce mediocre products and get away with it as long as they are reliable.

It will be a great engine much lighter than all of the competition so suited to many more applications it will easily make 350 hp and be reliable my 250 sho with a simple retune makes 332 hp
