I was introduced at 7 years old in second grade. Just became compulsive from there. I didn't realize I had a problem until I was 18 or so. I'm 22 now and felt trapped in a loop for almost 4 years. Among the anxiety which sucks bigtime I've had Very little energy, very low testosterone, a massive debilitating amount of brain fog and recentely I've developed POIS which is a nightmare and a half. However recently I realized my childhood trauma and my lack of self worth play a huge role in going to porn for an escape from that feeling of unworthiness. I've made it 119 days of PMO before and today makes day 4 right now. Here's to all you struggling with this evil shit. We are going to beat this and regain our power and our lives! I will not go quitely into that good night and neither should any of YOU!

Hello Dr Trish, I have been watching your videos for about a year. I can say now that I have come out of this addiction just by following your videos. I'm glad that I accidentally came across your channel. I'm glad that your channel exists 😁. I'm from India and have studied in Hindi Medium schools. I'm really glad that I showed some extra interest in learning English by myself and it's paying off now.
Thank you Dr Trish. Keep posting these helpful videos, no matter how long they are, people in need will watch & learn from you. Thank you for being you, a really nice helpful human being.

Very informative video, the only problem i think is that young people only look for help when it's a bit too late instead it should be avoided all together. I think addictionporn related stuff should be taught and implemented in high school level?

Everything sexual education should be mandatory in high schools and that should absolutely include pornography. Unfortunately I never got any of that and even at the age of 20 I'm still stuck with what healthy sex really is at times

I just subscribed to your channel. I'm really looking forward to reading your book. My story is very similar to that of Zack Carter, but I was not as fortunate as he was ever to find a woman to love. I realize that you have to expunge it from your life for yourself, but I also think that the love of a woman is good motivation.

@@ramalellison9205 I feel like life has become more real, the simple stuff has more value, it's like when you drink water you feel rewarded, a good reason to quit porn is to get back our sense perception, try avoiding any type of lust, keep your eyes from checking people out, you'll see that is not like you cannot watch porn or check people out, you should stop because the truth is: it's bad for you, it feels good but in long terms it destroys your life. Your eyes will never get enough of this, so make a deal with yourself for the good and choose to keep your life away from this, it's hard but thrust this words, is the best way.

Fighting the small steps back to porn is hard. Avoiding sexy advertising, sexy intros to various TH-cam sites, art sites are all small triggers. I have not back slid into seeing actual nudity or sexual acts on line but can feel the pull. I am finding it hard to find a therapist in southeastern Oklahoma. You have helped a lot but I have a long way to go.

Why does he associate it with "shame" ? I don't - most men do what they do because they haven't got women. If it causes ED what does it matter if women don't want them ? Christ, if he can get a woman there must be hope for me !!!

My first run-in with porn was when I was collecting returnable bottles and recycling aluminum cans on the side of the road in the 1970’s and there was a penthouse/playboy magazine someone threw on the side of the road. Way before the days of internet porn. Was addicted to porn until about 27 years old after my marriage break-up and I became a Christian. Sadly I never got back with my 1st wife , but we are friends 30 years later. She hated porn. Very rarely did I look at porn after becoming a Christian

I am with you that porn can be very destructive and addictive. I just don't know if there is anything that can be done about it at this point because of how easy it is to access.

It can take up to 2 years depending on how old you were when you started, how severe the content your viewing was, and how often you consumed the content. Everyone should notice major improvements within the first 6 months though. Stay Strong!
