Nah they bring up the swimmers heights a good bit for some reason. Carson foster is about 5’9 or 5’10, I met him in person and he was a good 3 inches shorter than me and I’m 6’1. Adam chaney was put down as 6’5 but he’s the same height as me. David curtis says he’s 6 foot but he was about 5’8
@@lizardgangdogs9527 when did you meet him? I’ve swam against him throughout age group and high school competition. I’m 5’11, at the end of high school he was taller than me (although I may have been 5’10 at that point cause this was a couple years ago). On top my this anecdote, he listed everywhere you can find as 6’1-6’2 ish. Don’t really know what else to say. Maybe you were wearing shoes and he wasn’t idk. He is absolutely not 5’9

Btw what does he mean by lengthining his stroke like the taller swimmers cant do that too ? I mean it seems that eventually the genetic advantage is gonna take over even if it is in fractions of secs
I mean obviously genetics play a massive role in performance but you should still maximise what you have to become the best version of yourself, which is hopefully enough to be one of the best in the world
If you watch the post 400 IM interview at Budapest, he seems to be slightly shorter than Kalisz, who is 6’4. I would say he’s 6’2
